1A Prayer of David. Hear, O Jehovah, righteousness, attend my cry, Give ear [to] my prayer, without lips of deceit.
1യഹോവേ, ന്യായത്തെ കേള്ക്കേണമേ, എന്റെ നിലവിളിയെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണമേ. കപടമില്ലാത്ത അധരങ്ങളില്നിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയെ ചെവിക്കൊള്ളേണമേ.
2From before thee my judgment doth go out; Thine eyes do see uprightly.
2എനിക്കുള്ള വിധി നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടട്ടെ; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നേര് കാണുമാറാകട്ടെ.
3Thou hast proved my heart, Thou hast inspected by night, Thou hast tried me, Thou findest nothing; My thoughts pass not over my mouth.
3നീ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശോധനചെയ്തു രാത്രിയില് എന്നെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു; നീ എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ദുരുദ്ദേശമൊന്നും കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വായ് ലംഘനം ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
4As to doings of man, Through a word of Thy lips I have observed The paths of a destroyer;
4മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഞാന് നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളുടെ വചനത്താല് നിഷ്ഠൂരന്റെ പാതകളെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചൊഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
5To uphold my goings in Thy paths, My steps have not slidden.
5എന്റെ നടപ്പു നിന്റെ ചുവടുകളില് തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു; എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതിയതുമില്ല.
6I — I called Thee, for Thou dost answer me, O God, incline Thine ear to me, hear my speech.
6ദൈവമേ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളുമല്ലോ; നിന്റെ ചെവി എങ്കലേക്കു ചായിച്ചു എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേള്ക്കേണമേ.
7Separate wonderfully Thy kindness, O Saviour of the confiding, By Thy right hand, from withstanders.
7നിന്നെ ശരണമാക്കുന്നവരെ അവരോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യാല് രക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനായുള്ളോവേ, നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതകാരുണ്യം കാണിക്കേണമേ.
8Keep me as the apple, the daughter of the eye; In shadow of Thy wings thou dost hide me.
8കണ്ണിന്റെ കൃഷ്ണമണിപോലെ എന്നെ കാക്കേണമേ; എന്നെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്ന ദുഷ്ടന്മാരും
9From the face of the wicked who spoiled me. Mine enemies in soul go round against me.
9എന്നെ ചുറ്റിവളയുന്ന പ്രാണശത്രുക്കളും എന്നെ പിടിക്കാതവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ നിഴലില് എന്നെ മറെച്ചുകൊള്ളേണമേ.
10Their fat they have closed up, Their mouths have spoken with pride:
10അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വായികൊണ്ടു വമ്പു പറയുന്നു.
11`Our steps now have compassed [him];` Their eyes they set to turn aside in the land.
11അവര് ഇപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലടി തുടര്ന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളെ നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിടുവാന് ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.
12His likeness as a lion desirous to tear, As a young lion dwelling in secret places.
12കടിച്ചുകീറുവാന് കൊതിക്കുന്ന സിംഹംപോലെയും മറവിടങ്ങളില് പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ബാലസിംഹംപോലെയും തന്നേ.
13Arise, O Jehovah, go before his face, Cause him to bend. Deliver my soul from the wicked, Thy sword,
13യഹോവേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനോടെതിര്ത്തു അവനെ തള്ളിയിടേണമേ. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ നിന്റെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു ദുഷ്ടന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും
14From men, Thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, their portion [is] in life, And [with] Thy hidden things Thou fillest their belly, They are satisfied [with] sons; And have left their abundance to their sucklings.
14തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു ലൌകികപുരുഷന്മാരുടെ വശത്തുനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കേണമേ; അവരുടെ ഔഹരി ഈ ആയുസ്സില് അത്രേ; നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവരുടെ വയറു നിറെക്കുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും പുത്രസമ്പത്തു ധാരാളം ഉണ്ടു; തങ്ങളുടെ ധനശിഷ്ടം അവര് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്കു വെച്ചേക്കുന്നു.
15I — in righteousness, I see Thy face; I am satisfied, in awaking, [with] Thy form!
15ഞാനോ, നീതിയില് നിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ കാണും; ഞാന് ഉണരുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ രൂപം കണ്ടു തൃപ്തനാകും.
