1A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack,
1യഹോവ എന്റെ ഇടയനാകുന്നു; എനിക്കു മുട്ടുണ്ടാകയില്ല.
2In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me.
2പച്ചയായ പുല്പുറങ്ങളില് അവന് എന്നെ കിടത്തുന്നു; സ്വസ്ഥതയുള്ള വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികത്തേക്കു എന്നെ നടത്തുന്നു.
3My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name`s sake,
3എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ അവന് തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തിരുനാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ നീതിപാതകളില് നടത്തുന്നു.
4Also — when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou [art] with me, Thy rod and Thy staff — they comfort me.
4കൂരിരുള്താഴ്വരയില് കൂടി നടന്നാലും ഞാന് ഒരു അനര്ത്ഥവും ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; നീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; നിന്റെ വടിയും കോലും എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
5Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full!
5എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് കാണ്കെ നീ എനിക്കു വിരുന്നൊരുക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ തലയെ എണ്ണകൊണ്ടു അഭിഷേകംചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്റെ പാനപാത്രവും നിറഞ്ഞു കവിയുന്നു.
6Only — goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling [is] in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days!
6നന്മയും കരുണയും എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും എന്നെ പിന്തുടരും; ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് ദീര്ഘകാലം വസിക്കും.
