1A Psalm of Asaph. Only — good to Israel [is] God, to the clean of heart. And I — as a little thing, My feet have been turned aside,
1ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിര്മ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവര്ക്കും തന്നേ, നല്ലവന് ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.
2As nothing, have my steps slipped, For I have been envious of the boastful,
2എന്നാല് എന്റെ കാലുകള് ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികള് ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.
3The peace of the wicked I see, That there are no bands at their death,
3ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൌഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.
4And their might [is] firm.
4അവര്ക്കും വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
5In the misery of mortals they are not, And with common men they are not plagued.
5അവര് മര്ത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തില് ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
6Therefore hath pride encircled them, Violence covereth them as a dress.
6ആകയാല് ഡംഭം അവര്ക്കും മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാല്ക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
7Their eye hath come out from fat. The imaginations of the heart transgressed;
7അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകള് പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനിലക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങള് കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.
8They do corruptly, And they speak in the wickedness of oppression, From on high they speak.
8അവര് പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
9They have set in the heavens their mouth, And their tongue walketh in the earth.
9അവര് വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
10Therefore do His people return hither, And waters of fulness are wrung out to them.
10അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചു കുടിക്കുന്നു.
11And they have said, `How hath God known? And is there knowledge in the Most High?`
11ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവര് പറയുന്നു.
12Lo, these [are] the wicked and easy ones of the age, They have increased strength.
12ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്; അവര് നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
13Only — a vain thing! I have purified my heart, And I wash in innocency my hands,
13എന്നാല് ഞാന് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയില് കഴുകിയതും വ്യര്ത്ഥമത്രേ.
14And I am plagued all the day, And my reproof [is] every morning.
14ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.
15If I have said, `I recount thus,` Lo, a generation of Thy sons I have deceived.
15ഞാന് ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാന് വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കില് ഇതാ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
16And I think to know this, Perverseness it [is] in mine eyes,
16ഞാന് ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോള് എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;
17Till I come in to the sanctuaries of God, I attend to their latter end.
17ഒടുവില് ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തില് ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.
18Only, in slippery places Thou dost set them, Thou hast caused them to fall to desolations.
18നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പില് നിര്ത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തില് തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.
19How have they become a desolation as in a moment, They have been ended — consumed from terrors.
19എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തില് അവര് ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവര് മെരുള്ചകളാല് അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20As a dream from awakening, O Lord, In awaking, their image Thou despisest.
20ഉണരുമ്പോള് ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കര്ത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോള് അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.
21For my heart doth show itself violent, And my reins prick themselves,
21ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തില് കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്
22And I am brutish, and do not know. A beast I have been with Thee.
22ഞാന് പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
23And I [am] continually with Thee, Thou hast laid hold on my right hand.
23എന്നിട്ടും ഞാന് എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24With Thy counsel Thou dost lead me, And after honour dost receive me.
24നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാല് നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതില് മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.
25Whom have I in the heavens? And with Thee none I have desired in earth.
25സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാന് ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.
26Consumed hath been my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart and my portion [is] God to the age.
26എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഔഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.
27For, lo, those far from Thee do perish, Thou hast cut off every one, Who is going a whoring from Thee.
27ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവര് നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.
28And I — nearness of God to me [is] good, I have placed in the Lord Jehovah my refuge, To recount all Thy works!
28എന്നാല് ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വര്ണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ആസാഫിന്റെ ധ്യാനം.
