¹Keep silent towards Me, O isles, And the peoples pass on [to] power, They come nigh, then they speak, `Together — to judgment we draw near.`

¹परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “दूरवरच्या देशांनो, शांत व्हा आणि माझ्याकडे या. राष्ट्रांनो, शूर व्हा, येऊन माझ्याशी बोला. आपण एकत्र जमून कोणाचे बरोबर आहे ते ठरवू.

²Who stirred up from the east a righteous one? He calleth him to His foot, He giveth before him nations, And kings He causeth him to rule, He giveth [them] as dust [to] his sword, As driven stubble [to] his bow.

²माझ्या पुढील प्रश्नांना उत्तरे द्या:पूर्वेकडून येणाऱ्या माणसाला कोणी उठविले? चांगलुपणा त्याच्याबरोबर आहे. तो त्याच्या तलवारीच्या जोरावर राष्ट्रांना पराभूत करतो मग त्यांची जणू माती होते. तो तीर सोडतो आणि राजांना जिंकतो. वाऱ्याने गवताची काठी उडावी तसे ते दूर पळतात.

³He pursueth them, he passeth over in safety A path with his feet he entereth not.

³तो सैन्याचा पाठलाग करतो पण त्याला कधीच ईजा होत नाही पूर्वी कधीही न गेलेल्या ठिकाणी तो जातो.

⁴Who hath wrought and done, Calling the generations from the first? I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last I [am] He.

⁴ह्या गोष्टी कोणी घडवून आणल्या? हे कोणी केले? सुरवातीपासून लोकांना कोणी बोलाविले? मी, परमेश्वराने, या गोष्टी केल्या आरंभापासून मी म्हणजे परमेश्वर आहे, आरंभापूर्वीही मी येथे होतो आणि सर्व संपल्यावर मीच येथे असेन.

⁵Seen have isles and fear, ends of the earth tremble, They have drawn near, yea, they come.

⁵अती दूरच्या सर्व स्थळांनो, पाहा आणि भिऊन असा! पृथ्वीवरच्या दूरवरच्या सर्व ठिकाणांनो, भीतीने थरथर कापा! इकडे या आणि माझे ऐका.” आणि ते आले.

⁶Each his neighbour they help, And to his brother he saith, `Be strong.`

⁶“कामगार एकमेकांना मदत करतात. ते बळकटी येण्यासाठी एकमेकांना उत्तेजन देतात.

⁷And strengthen doth an artizan the refiner, A smoother [with] a hammer, Him who is beating [on] an anvil, Saying, `For joining it [is] good,` And he strengtheneth it with nails, it is not moved!

⁷एकजण मूर्ती करण्यासाठी लाकूड कापतो. तो सोन्याचे काम करणाऱ्याला उत्तेजन देतो. दुसरा हातोडीने धातू मऊ करतो. तो ऐरणी वर घाव घालणाऱ्याला उत्तर देतो हा शेवटचा कामगार म्हणतो, ‘हे काम चांगले झाले. सोने आता निघून येणार नाही.’ नंतर तो खिळ्याने मूर्ती पायावर पक्की बसवितो. मग मूर्ती खाली पडू शकत नाही आणि ती कधीही सरकत नाही.”

⁸— And thou, O Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, Seed of Abraham, My lover,

⁸परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “इस्राएल, तू माझा सेवक आहेस. याकोब, मी तुझी निवड केली. तू अब्राहामच्या वंशातील आहेस. आणि अब्राहामवर प्रेम केले.

⁹Whom I have taken hold of, from the ends of the earth, And from its near places I have called thee, And I say to thee, My servant Thou [art], I have chosen thee, and not rejected thee.

⁹पृथ्वीवर खूप लांब, दूरच्या देशात होतास, पण मी तुला बोलाविले व सांगितले, ‘तू माझा सेवक आहेस.”‘ मी तुझी निवड केली आणि मी कधीच तुझ्याविरूध्द गेलो नाही.

¹⁰Be not afraid, for with thee I [am], Look not around, for I [am] thy God, I have strengthened thee, Yea, I have helped thee, yea, I upheld thee, With the right hand of My righteousness.

¹⁰काळजी करू नकोस मी तुझ्याबरोबर आहे, घाबरू नकोस. मी तुझा देव आहे. मी तुला मदत करीन. मी माझ्या चांगलुपणाच्या उजव्या हाताने तुला आधार देईन.

¹¹Lo, all those displeased with thee, They are ashamed and blush, They are as nothing, yea, perish Do the men who strive with thee.

¹¹बघ! काही लोक तुझ्यावर रागावले आहेत. पण ते लज्जित होतील. तुझे शत्रू नाहीसे होतील व कायमचे निघून जातील.

¹²Thou seekest them, and findest them not, The men who debate with thee, They are as nothing, yea, as nothing, The men who war with thee.

¹²तू तुझ्याविरूध्द असणाऱ्या लोकांना शोधशील पण ते तुला सापडू शकणार नाहीत. ते संपूर्णपणे नाहीसे होतील.

¹³For I, Jehovah thy God, Am strengthening thy right hand, He who is saying to thee, `Fear not, I have helped thee.`

¹³मी परमेश्वर तुझा देव आहे, मी तुझा उजवा हात धरतो आहे, मी तुला सांगतो: घाबरू नकोस मी तुला मदत करीन.

¹⁴Fear not, O worm Jacob, ye men of Israel, I helped thee, an affirmation of Jehovah, Even thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁴बहुमोल यहुदा, घाबरू नकोस. इस्राएलमधील माझ्या लाडक्या लोकांनो, भिऊ नका. मी खरोखरच तुम्हाला मदत करीन.” परमेश्वराने स्वत:च ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या. जो तुम्हाला वाचवितो तोच इस्राएलचा पवित्र देव हे बोलला.

¹⁵Lo, I have set thee for a new sharp threshing instrument, Possessing teeth, thou threshest mountains, And beatest small, and hills as chaff thou makest.

¹⁵“मी तुम्हाला कोऱ्या मळणीयंत्राप्रमाणे केले आहे. त्या यंत्राला खूप तीक्ष्ण दाते आहेत. शेतकरी त्याचा उपयोग टरफलांपासून धान्य वेगळे करण्याकरिता करतात. त्याचप्रमाणे तुम्ही डोंगर पायाखाली तुडवून चिरडून टाकाल. तुम्ही टेकडयांची अवस्था धान्याच्या भुसकटाप्रमाणे कराल.

¹⁶Thou winnowest them, and a wind lifteth them up, And a whirlwind scattereth them, And thou — thou rejoicest in Jehovah, In the Holy One of Israel dost boast thyself.

¹⁶तुम्ही त्या फेकून द्याल आणि वाऱ्याबरोबर वाहत जाऊन त्या सगळीकडे विखुरल्या जातील. नंतर तुम्ही परमेश्वराबद्दल आनंद मानाल. तुम्हाला इस्राएलच्या पवित्र (देवाबद्दल) अभिमान वाटेल.”

¹⁷The poor and the needy are seeking water, And there is none, Their tongue with thirst hath failed, I, Jehovah do answer them, The God of Israel — I forsake them not.

¹⁷“गरीब आणि गरजू पाण्याचा शोध घेतात. पण त्यांना पाणी मिळू शकत नाही. ते तहानेलेले आहेत. त्यांच्या तोंडाला कोरड पडली आहे. मी त्यांनी केलेली आळवणी ऐकेन. मी इस्राएलचा देव, त्यांना वाऱ्यावर सोडणार नाही.

¹⁸I open on high places rivers, And in midst of valleys fountains, I make a wilderness become a pond of water, And a dry land become springs of water.

¹⁸वैराण टेकड्यांवर मी नद्या वाहायला लावीन आणि दऱ्यांतून झऱ्याचे पाणी वाहायला लावीन. मी वाळवंटाचे रूपांतर पाण्याने भरलेल्या सरोवरात करीन. त्या शुष्क भूमीवर पाण्याचे झरे वाहतील.

¹⁹I give in a wilderness the cedar, Shittah, and myrtle, and oil-tree, I set in a desert the fir-pine and box-wood together.

¹⁹वाळवंटात गंधसरू, बाभूळ, ऑलिव्ह (तेल) सरू, देवदारू आणि भद्रदारू हे वृक्ष वाढतील.

²⁰So that they see, and know, And regard, and act wisely together, For the hand of Jehovah hath done this, And the Holy One of Israel hath prepared it.

²⁰लोक हे सर्व पाहतील आणि परमेश्वराच्या सामर्थ्यामुळेच हे सर्व झाले आहे हे त्यांना कळेल. हे सर्व घडवून आणणारा एकमेव पवित्र (देव) आहे हे लोकांना, हे सर्व पाहिल्यावर कळेल.”

²¹Bring near your cause, saith Jehovah, Bring nigh your mighty ones, saith the king of Jacob.

²¹परमेश्वर, याकोबचा राजा म्हणतो, “या आणि तुमचे काय मुद्दे आहेत ते मला सांगा तुमचे त्याबद्दलचे पुरावे मला दाखवा आणि मग आपण काय बरोबर आहे ते ठरवू.

²²They bring nigh, and declare to us that which doth happen, The first things — what they [are] declare ye, And we set our heart, and know their latter end, Or the coming things cause us to hear.

²²तुमच्या मूर्तीनी (खोट्या देवांनी) यावे व काय घडत आहे ते सांगावे. “सुरवातीला काय झाले? भविष्यात काय घडणार आहे? ते आम्हाला सांगा. आम्ही लक्षपूर्वक ऐकू. मग नंतर काय घडणार आहे ते आम्हाला कळेल.

²³Declare the things that are coming hereafter, And we know that ye [are] gods, Yea, ye may do good or do evil, And we look around and see [it] together.

²³काय घडेल हे समजण्यासाठी कोणत्या गोष्टी आम्ही पाहाव्या ते आम्हाला सांगा. मग आमचा तुमच्यावर खरोखरचे देव म्हणून विश्वास बसेल. काहीतरी चांगले किंवा वाईट करा म्हणजे आम्हाला तुम्ही प्रत्यक्षात आहात, जिवंत आहात हे दिसेल व आम्ही तुम्हाला अनुसरू.

²⁴Lo, ye [are] of nothing, and your work of nought, An abomination — it fixeth on you.

²⁴“बघा! तुम्ही शून्य किंमतीचे आहात तुम्ही काहीच करू शकत नाही फक्त कवडी किंमतीची माणसेच तुमची पूजा करू इच्छितात.”

²⁵I have stirred up [one] from the north, And he cometh, From the rising of the sun he calleth in My name, And he cometh in [on] prefects as [on] clay, And as a potter treadeth down mire.

²⁵“मी उत्तरेकडील एका माणसाला उठविले तो उगवत्या सूर्याच्या दिशेकडून म्हणजे पूर्वेकडून येत आहे. तो माझी उपासना करतो. कुंभार ज्याप्रमाणे चिखल तुडवितो, त्याप्रमाणे तो विशिष्ट माणूस राजांना तुडवेल.”

²⁶Who hath declared from the first, and we know? And beforetime, and we say, `Righteous?` yea, there is none declaring, Yea, there is none proclaiming, Yea, there is none hearing your sayings.

²⁶हे सर्व घडण्यापूर्वी आम्हाला कोणी सांगितले? त्याला आम्ही देव म्हणावे, तुमच्या कोणात्या मूर्तीने हे सांगितले का? नाही. त्या मूर्तीपैकी कोणीही आम्हाला काहीही सांगितले नाही. त्या मूर्ती एक शब्दसुध्दा बोलत नाहीत. आणि आपण बोललेले ते खोटे देव ऐकू शकत नाहीत.

²⁷First to Zion, Behold, behold them, And to Jerusalem one proclaiming tidings I give,

²⁷सियोनला ह्या गोष्टीबद्दल सांगणारा पहिला मी म्हणजेच परमेश्वर आहे. मी यरूशलेमला दूताबरोबर संदेश पाठविला. “पाहा! तुझे लोक परत येत आहेत.”

²⁸And I see that there is no man, Yea, of these that there is no counsellor, And I ask them, and they return word:

²⁸मी त्या खोट्या देवांना पाहिले. काहीही सांगण्याइतके ते शहाणे नाहीत. मी त्यांना प्रश्न विचारले, पण त्यांनी एकही शब्द उच्चारला नाही.

²⁹`Lo, all of them [are] vanity, Nought [are] their works, Wind and emptiness their molten images!`

²⁹ते सगळे देव कवडीमोलाचे आहेत. ते काही करू शकत नाहीत. त्या मूर्ती शून्य किंमतीच्या आहेत.
