1Why, Jehovah, dost Thou stand at a distance? Thou dost hide in times of adversity,
1परमेश्वरा, तू इतक्या दूर का राहतोस? संकटात पडलेले लोक तुला पाहू शकत नाहीत.
2Through the pride of the wicked, Is the poor inflamed, They are caught in devices that they devised.
2गर्विष्ठ आणि दुष्ट लोक वाईट योजना आखतात. आणि गरीब लोकांना त्रास देतात.
3Because the wicked hath boasted Of the desire of his soul, And a dishonest gainer he hath blessed, He hath despised Jehovah.
3दुष्ट लोक आपल्याला हव्या असलेल्या गोष्टींबद्दल बढाया मारतात. आधाशी लोक देवाला शाप देतात. अशा रीतीने दुष्ट लोक आपण परमेश्वराला तुच्छ मानतो असे दाखवून देतात.
4The wicked according to the height of his face, inquireth not. `God is not!` [are] all his devices.
4वाईट लोक देवाची प्रार्थना न करण्याइतके गर्विष्ठ आहेत ते त्यांच्या सर्व वाईट योजना आखतात आणि जगात देवच नसल्यासारखे वागतात.
5Pain do his ways at all times, On high [are] Thy judgments before him, All his adversaries — he puffeth at them.
5दुष्ट लोक नेहमीच काहीतरी वेडे वाकडे करीत असतात. देवाचे नियम आणि शहाणपणाच्या गोष्टी त्यांच्या लक्षात देखील येत नाहीत. देवाचे शत्रू त्यांच्या शिकवण्याकडे लक्ष देत नाहीत.
6He hath said in his heart, `I am not moved,` To generation and generation not in evil.
6आपले काहीही वाईट होणार नाही असे त्या लोकांना वाटते ते म्हणतात “आपण मजा करु आणि आपल्याला कधीही शिक्षा होणार नाही.”
7Of oaths his mouth is full, And deceits, and fraud: Under his tongue [is] perverseness and iniquity,
7ते लोक नेहमी शाप देत असतात. ते लोकांबद्दल नेहमी वाईट बोलत असतात. ते सतत वाईट योजना आखत असतात.
8He doth sit in an ambush of the villages, In secret places he doth slay the innocent. His eyes for the afflicted watch secretly,
8ते गुप्त जागी लपून बसतात आणि लोकांना पकडण्यासाठी वाट पाहातात. ते दुसऱ्यांना त्रास देण्यासाठी लपतात ते निष्पाप लोकांना ठार मारतात.
9He lieth in wait in a secret place, as a lion in a covert. He lieth in wait to catch the poor, He catcheth the poor, drawing him into his net.
9ते दुष्ट लोक खाण्यासाठी एखादा प्राणी पकडणाऱ्या सिंहासारखे असतात. ते गरीबांवर हल्ला करतात. दुष्टांनी तयार केलेल्या सापळड्यात गरीब अडकतात.
10He is bruised — he boweth down, Fallen by his mighty ones hath the afflicted.
10ते दुष्ट गरीब आणि आधीच पीडलेल्या लोकांना पुन्हा पुन्हा त्रास देतात.
11He said in his heart, `God hath forgotten, He hath hid His face, He hath never seen.`
11“देव आपल्याला विसरला, तो आपल्यापासून कायमचा दूर गेला. आपल्यावर काय प्रसंग आलेला आहे हे देव बघत नाही” असा विचार गरीब लोक करतात.
12Arise, O Jehovah! O God, lift up Thy hand! Forget not the humble.
12परमेश्वरा, ऊठ! आणि काहीतरी कर. देवा, दुष्टांना शिक्षा कर गरीबांना विसरु नकोस.
13Wherefore hath the wicked despised God? He hath said in his heart, `It is not required.`
13वाईट लोक देवाविरुध्द का जातात? कारण देव आपल्याला शिक्षा करणार नाही असे त्यांना वाटते.
14Thou hast seen, For Thou perverseness and anger beholdest; By giving into Thy hand, On Thee doth the afflicted leave [it], Of the fatherless Thou hast been an helper.
14परमेश्वरा, ते लोक अतिशय दुष्ट आणि वाईट गोष्टी करतात ते तू बघतोस तू त्याकडे लक्ष दे आणि काहीतरी कर. संकटांनी पिडलेले लोक तुझ्याकडे मदतीसाठी येतात. परमेश्वरा, निराधारला मदत करणारा तूच एक आहेस. म्हणून त्यांना मदत कर.
15Break the arm of the wicked and the evil, Seek out his wickedness, find none;
15परमेश्वरा, दुष्टांचे निर्दालन कर.
16Jehovah [is] king to the age, and for ever, The nations have perished out of His land!
16त्या लोकांना तुझ्या भूमीतून घालवून दे.
17The desire of the humble Thou hast heard, O Jehovah. Thou preparest their heart; Thou causest Thine ear to attend,
17परमेश्वरा, गरीबांना काय हवे ते तू ऐकलेस. त्यांची प्रार्थना ऐक आणि त्यांना काय हवे ते दे.
18To judge the fatherless and bruised: He addeth no more to oppress — man of the earth!
18परमेश्वरा आई बाप नसलेल्या पोरक्या मुलांचे रक्षण कर. दुखी लोकांना आणखी कष्ट सोसायला लावू नकोस. दुष्टांना इथे राहायला भीती वाटेल इतके त्यांना घाबरवून
