1A Psalm of Asaph. Only — good to Israel [is] God, to the clean of heart. And I — as a little thing, My feet have been turned aside,
1देव इस्राएल बरोबर खरोखरच चांगला वागला. शुध्द ह्दय असलेल्या लोकांशी देव चांगला वागतो.
2As nothing, have my steps slipped, For I have been envious of the boastful,
2मी जवळ जवळ घसरलो आणि पाप करायला लागलो.
3The peace of the wicked I see, That there are no bands at their death,
3दुष्ट लोक यशस्वी होतात हे मी पाहिले आणि मी त्या गार्विष्ट लोकांचा मत्सर करायला लागलो.
4And their might [is] firm.
4ते लोक आरोग्य संपन्न आहेत. त्यांना जीवन जगण्यासाठी लढा द्यावा लागत नाही.
5In the misery of mortals they are not, And with common men they are not plagued.
5त्या गर्विष्ट लोकांना आपल्यासारखे दु:खभोगावे लागत नाही. दुसऱ्या लोकांवर येतात तशी संकटे त्यांच्यावर येत नाहीत.
6Therefore hath pride encircled them, Violence covereth them as a dress.
6म्हणून ते आतिशय गर्विष्ठ आणि तिरस्करणीय लोक आहेत. ते ज्या प्रकारची आभूषणे आणि भपकेदार कपडे घालतात त्या वरुन हे कळून येते.
7Their eye hath come out from fat. The imaginations of the heart transgressed;
7जर त्या लोकांना एखादी गोष्ट आवडली तर ते सरळ जातात आणि ती घेऊन येतात. त्यांना जे काही करायची इच्छा होते ते ते करतात.
8They do corruptly, And they speak in the wickedness of oppression, From on high they speak.
8ते दुसऱ्यांविषयी दुष्ट आणि वाईट गोष्टी बोलतात ते गर्विष्ठ आणि दुराग्रही आहेत. आणि दुसऱ्या लोकांचा कसा फायदा उठवायचा याचा ते सतत विचार करीत असतात व त्याप्रमाणे योजना आखतात.
9They have set in the heavens their mouth, And their tongue walketh in the earth.
9आपण म्हणजेच देव असे त्या गर्विष्ठ लोकांना वाटते आपण पृथ्वीचे राज्यकर्ते आहोत असे त्या लोकांना वाटते.
10Therefore do His people return hither, And waters of fulness are wrung out to them.
10म्हणून देवाची माणसे सुध्दा त्यांच्याकडे वळतात आणि त्यांनी सांगितलेली कामे करतात.
11And they have said, `How hath God known? And is there knowledge in the Most High?`
11ते दुष्ट लोक म्हणतात, “आम्ही काय करतो ते देवाला माहीत नाही, सर्वशक्तिमान देवाला ते माहीत नाही.”
12Lo, these [are] the wicked and easy ones of the age, They have increased strength.
12ते गर्विष्ठ लोक दुष्ट आहेत, पण ते श्रीमंत आहेत आणि अधिक श्रीमंत होत आहेत.
13Only — a vain thing! I have purified my heart, And I wash in innocency my hands,
13मग मी माझेच मन शुध्द का करु? मी माझे हात स्वच्छ का करु.
14And I am plagued all the day, And my reproof [is] every morning.
14देवा, मी दिवसभर त्रास भोगतो आणि तू मला रोज सकाळी शिक्षा देतोस.
15If I have said, `I recount thus,` Lo, a generation of Thy sons I have deceived.
15देवा, मला इतर लोकांशी याबद्दल बोलायची इच्छा होती. परंतु त्यामुळे तुझ्या माणसांचा विश्वासघात केल्यासारखे झाले असते हे मला माहीत होते.
16And I think to know this, Perverseness it [is] in mine eyes,
16या गोष्टी समजण्याचा मी खूप प्रयत्न केला पण तुझ्या मंदिरात येण्यापूर्वी ते माझ्यासाठी फारच कठीण होते.
17Till I come in to the sanctuaries of God, I attend to their latter end.
17मी देवाच्या मंदिरात गेलो आणि नंतर मला कळले.
18Only, in slippery places Thou dost set them, Thou hast caused them to fall to desolations.
18देवा, तू त्या लोकांना खरोखरच एका धोकादायक परिस्थितीत टाकले आहेस. खाली पडून सर्वनाश ओढवून घेणे त्यांना फारच सोपे झाले आहे.
19How have they become a desolation as in a moment, They have been ended — consumed from terrors.
19अचानक संकटे येऊ शकतात आणि नंतर त्या गार्विष्ठ माणसांचा नाश होतो. भयंकर गोष्टी घडू शकतात आणि मग त्यांचा सर्वनाश होतो.
20As a dream from awakening, O Lord, In awaking, their image Thou despisest.
20परमेश्वरा, ते लोक म्हणजे झोपून उठल्यावर विसर पडणाऱ्या स्वप्रसारखे आहेत. आपल्या स्वप्रात येणाऱ्या राक्षसाप्रमाणे तू त्या लोकांना अदृष्य करशील.
21For my heart doth show itself violent, And my reins prick themselves,

22And I am brutish, and do not know. A beast I have been with Thee.

23And I [am] continually with Thee, Thou hast laid hold on my right hand.
23मला जे जे लागेल ते सर्व माझ्याजवळ आहे. मी नेहमी तुझ्या जवळ असतो. देवा, तू नेहमी माझा हात धरतोस.
24With Thy counsel Thou dost lead me, And after honour dost receive me.
24देवा, तू मला मार्ग दाखव तू मला चांगला उपदेश कर आणि नंतर तू मला गौरवाप्रत नेशील.
25Whom have I in the heavens? And with Thee none I have desired in earth.
25देवा, स्वर्गातही तू माझ्याजवळ असशील आणि जेव्हा तू जवळ असशील तेव्हा या पृथ्वीवरचे मला आणखी काय हवे असणार?
26Consumed hath been my flesh and my heart, The rock of my heart and my portion [is] God to the age.
26कदचित् माझ्या शरीराचा आणि मनाचा नाश होईल परंतु माझ्याजवळ मला आवडत असलेला खडक आहे. देव सदैव माझ्याजवळ असतो.
27For, lo, those far from Thee do perish, Thou hast cut off every one, Who is going a whoring from Thee.
27देवा, जे लोक तुला सोडून जातात ते लोक हरवतील. जे लोक तुझ्याशी प्रामाणिक नाहीत त्यांचा तू नाश करशील.
28And I — nearness of God to me [is] good, I have placed in the Lord Jehovah my refuge, To recount all Thy works!
28मी मात्र देवाकडे आलो आहे. आणि ती माझ्यासाठी अतिशय चांगली गोष्ट आहे. मी परमेश्वराला माझा प्रभु आणि माझी सुराक्षित जागा बनवले. देवा, तू माझ्यासाठी ज्या गोष्टी केल्यास त्याबद्दल सांगण्यासाठी मी आलो आहे.
