1To the Overseer. — `Destroy not.` — A Psalm of Asaph. — A Song. We have given thanks to Thee, O God, We have given thanks, and near [is] Thy name, They have recounted Thy wonders.
1देवा, आम्ही तुझी स्तुती करतो. आम्ही तुझी स्तुती करतो. तू जवळ आहेस आणि लोक तू करत असलेल्या अद्भुत गोष्टींबद्दल सांगतात.
2When I receive an appointment, I — I do judge uprightly.
2देव म्हणतो “मी न्यायदानाची वेळ निवडली, मी बरोबर न्याय करीन.
3Melted is the earth and all its inhabitants, I — I have pondered its pillars. Selah.
3पृथ्वी आणि तिच्यावरील सारे काही थरथर कापेल आणि पडायला येईल पण मी त्याला स्थिरता देईन.”
4I have said to the boastful, `Be not boastful,` And to the wicked, `Raise not up a horn.`

6For not from the east, or from the west, Nor from the wilderness — [is] elevation.
6या पृथ्वीवर एखाद्या व्यक्तीला मोठा बनवू शकेल अशी कोणतीही शक्ती नाही.
7But God [is] judge, This He maketh low — and this He lifteth up.
7देव न्यायाधीश आहे. कोणी मोठे व्हायचे ते देवच ठरवतो. देव एखाद्याला वर उचलतो आणि त्याला मोठे बनवतो. देव एखाद्याला खाली उतरवतो आणि त्याला मोठा करत नाही.
8For a cup [is] in the hand of Jehovah, And the wine hath foamed, It is full of mixture, and He poureth out of it, Only its dregs wring out, and drink, Do all the wicked of the earth,
8देव दुष्टांना शासन करण्यास तयार आहे. परमेश्वराच्या हातात पेला आहे. तो पेला विषयुक्त द्राक्षारसाने भरलेला आहे. तो तो द्राक्षारस ओतेल आणि दुष्ट लोक तो शेवटच्या थेंबापर्यंत पितील.
9And I — I declare [it] to the age, I sing praise to the God of Jacob.

10And all horns of the wicked I cut off, Exalted are the horns of the righteous!
