¹To the Overseer. — `On the Gittith.` By Asaph. Cry aloud to God our strength, Shout to the God of Jacob.

¹आनंदी राहा आणि आमची शक्ती असलेल्या देवासमोर गाणे गा, इस्राएलाच्या देवासमोर आनंदाने ओरडा.

²Lift up a song, and give out a timbrel, A pleasant harp with psaltery.

²संगीताची सुरुवात करा. डफ वाजवा. सतार आणि वीणा वाजवा.

³Blow in the month a trumpet, In the new moon, at the day of our festival,

³अमावास्येला एडक्याच्या शिंगाचा कर्णा वाजवा. पौर्णिमेला ही एडक्याच्या शिंगाचा कर्णा वाजवा. याचवेळी आपला सण सुरु होतो.

⁴For a statute to Israel it [is], An ordinance of the God of Jacob.

⁴हा इस्राएल देशाचा नियम आहे. देवाने याकोबाला हीच आज्ञा केली.

⁵A testimony on Joseph He hath placed it, In his going forth over the land of Egypt. A lip, I have not known — I hear.

⁵जेव्हा देवाने त्याला मिसरमधून दूर नेले तेव्हा त्याने योसेफाबरोबर हा करार केला. मिसरमध्येच आम्ही आम्हाला न समजणारी भाषा ऐकली.

⁶From the burden his shoulder I turned aside, His hands from the basket pass over.

⁶देव म्हणतो, “मी तुमच्या खांद्यावरचे ओझे उचलले. तुमच्या खांद्यावरची कामगाराची टोपली तुम्हाला टाकायला लावली.

⁷In distress thou hast called and I deliver thee, I answer thee in the secret place of thunder, I try thee by the waters of Meribah. Selah.

⁷तुम्ही लोक संकटात होता. तुम्ही मदतीसाठी हाका मारल्या आणि मी तुमची मुक्तता केली. मी वादळी ढगात लपलो होतो आणि मी तुम्हाला उत्तर दिले. मी मरीबाच्या पाण्याजवळ तुमची परीक्षा घेतली.”

⁸Hear, O My people, and I testify to thee, O Israel, if thou dost hearken to me:

⁸“लोकहो! माझे ऐका, मी तुम्हाला माझा करार देईन इस्राएल कृपा करुन माझे ऐक.

⁹There is not in thee a strange god, And thou bowest not thyself to a strange god.

⁹परदेशी लोक ज्या चुकीच्या देवाची पूजा करतात त्यापैकी कुठल्याही देवाची पूजा करु नकोस.

¹⁰I [am] Jehovah thy God, Who bringeth thee up out of the land of Egypt. Enlarge thy mouth, and I fill it.

¹⁰मी, परमेश्वरच तुमचा देव आहे मी तुम्हाला मिसरच्या प्रदेशातून बाहेर आणले. इस्राएल, तुझे तोंड उघड मग मी तुला खायला घालीन.”

¹¹But, My people hearkened not to My voice, And Israel hath not consented to Me.

¹¹“परंतु माझ्या लोकांनी माझे ऐकले नाही. इस्राएलने माझी आज्ञा पाळली नाही.

¹²And I send them away in the enmity of their heart, They walk in their own counsels.

¹²म्हणून मी त्यांना जे करायची इच्छा होती ते करु दिले. इस्राएलने सुध्दा त्याला हवे ते केले.

¹³O that My people were hearkening to Me, Israel in My ways would walk.

¹³जर माझ्या लोकांनी माझे ऐकले, जर इस्राएल माझ्या इच्छे प्रमाणे राहिला,

¹⁴As a little thing their enemies I cause to bow, And against their adversaries I turn back My hand,

¹⁴तर मी त्यांच्या शत्रूंचा पराभव करीन. जे लोक इस्राएलवर संकटे आणतात त्यांना मी शिक्षा करीन.

¹⁵Those hating Jehovah feign obedience to Him, But their time is — to the age.

¹⁵परमेश्वराचे शत्रू भीतीने थरथर कापतील. त्यांना कायमची शिक्षा होईल.

¹⁶He causeth him to eat of the fat of wheat, And [with] honey from a rock I satisfy thee!

¹⁶देव त्याच्या माणसांना सगळ्यात चांगला गहू देईल. देव त्याच्या माणसांना त्यांचे समाधान होईपर्यंत मध देईल.”
