¹Man, born of woman! Of few days, and full of trouble!

¹လူသည် မိန်းမဘွားသောသူဖြစ်သဖြင့်၊ အသက်တို၍ ဒုက္ခနှင့် ပြည့်စုံပါ၏။

²As a flower he hath gone forth, and is cut off, And he fleeth as a shadow and standeth not.

²ပန်းပွင့်ကဲ့သို့ပွင့်၍ ရိတ်ဖြတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရပါ၏။ မတည်မရပ်ဘဲ အရိပ်ကဲ့သို့ ရွေ့သွားတတ်ပါ၏။

³Also — on this Thou hast opened Thine eyes, And dost bring me into judgment with Thee.

³ထိုသို့သောသူကို ကိုယ်တော်ကြည့်မှတ်တော်မူ သလော။ အကျွန်ုပ်နှင့်ဘက်၍တရားတွေ့တော်မူမည် လော။

⁴Who giveth a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

⁴မသန့်ရှင်းသောအရာထဲက သန့်ရှင်းသောအရာကို အဘယ်သူ ထုတ်ဘော်နိုင်သနည်း။ အဘယ်သူမျှ မထုတ်မဘော်နိုင်ပါ။

⁵If determined are his days, The number of his months [are] with Thee, His limit Thou hast made, And he passeth not over;

⁵လူ၏နေ့ရက်တို့ကို မှတ်သား၍၊ သူနေရသော လအရေအတွက်ကို ကိုယ်တော်သည်သိသဖြင့်၊ သူ မလွန်နိုင်သော အပိုင်းအခြားကို ထားတော်မူသော ကြောင့်၊

⁶Look away from off him that he may cease, Till he enjoy as an hireling his day.

⁶မျက်စိတော်ကို လွှဲ၍ လူသည်သူငှါးကဲ့သို့ မိမိ နေ့ရက်ကို လွန်စေသည်တိုင်အောင် ငြိမ်ဝပ်ရသောအခွင့် ကို ပေးတော်မူပါ။

⁷For there is of a tree hope, if it be cut down, That again it doth change, That its tender branch doth not cease.

⁷သစ်ပင်ကိုခုတ်သော်လည်း၊ အငုတ်အချည်း စည်းမရှိဘဲ အတက်ပေါက်လေဦးမည်ဟု မြော်လင့်စရာ ရှိ၏။

⁸If its root becometh old in the earth, And its stem doth die in the dust,

⁸မြေထဲမှာ အမြစ်ဟောင်း၍၊ မြေပေါ်မှာ အငုတ်သေသော်လည်း၊

⁹From the fragrance of water it doth flourish, And hath made a crop as a plant.

⁹ရေငွေ့ကြောင့် အတက်ပေါက်၍၊ ပျိုးပင်ကဲ့သို့ အညွန့်တို့နှင့် ပြည့်စုံလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁰And a man dieth, and becometh weak, And man expireth, and where [is] he?

¹⁰လူမူကားသေ၍ ဆွေးမြေ့တတ်၏။ လူသည် အသက်ချုပ်ပြီးလျှင် အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်း။

¹¹Waters have gone away from a sea, And a river becometh waste and dry.

¹¹အိုင်ရေပြတ်သကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ မြစ်ရေခန်းခြောက် သကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊

¹²And man hath lain down, and riseth not, Till the wearing out of the heavens they awake not, Nor are roused from their sleep.

¹²လူသည်အိပ်ပြီးမှ နောက်တဖန်မထရ။ မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်မကုန် မဆုံးမှီတိုင်အောင် မနိုးရ။ အအိပ် အပျော်မပျက်ရ။

¹³O that in Sheol Thou wouldst conceal me, Hide me till the turning of Thine anger, Set for me a limit, and remember me.

¹³ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်း၌ ဝှက်ထားတော်မူပါစေ။ အမျက်တော်မလွန်မှီတိုင်အောင် ကွယ်ကာတော်မူပါစေ။ အကျွန်ုပ် ကိုအောက်မေ့စရာ အချိန်ကို ချိန်းချက်တော်မူပါစေ။

¹⁴If a man dieth — doth he revive? All days of my warfare I wait, till my change come.

¹⁴လူသည် သေလျှင်အသက်ရှင်ပြန်ပါလိမ့်မည်လော။ အကျွန်ုပ် ပြောင်းလဲချိန်မရောက်မှီ၊ ပင်ပန်းစွာ အမှုထမ်းရသော နေ့ရက်ကာလပတ်လုံးသည်းခံလျက်နေ ပါမည်။

¹⁵Thou dost call, and I — I answer Thee; To the work of Thy hands Thou hast desire.

¹⁵အကျွန်ုပ်ကို ခေါ်တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်ပြန် လျှောက်ပါမည်။ ကိုယ်တိုင်ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော အရာကို သနားခြင်း စိတ်ရှိတော်မူပါ။

¹⁶But now, my steps Thou numberest, Thou dost not watch over my sin.

¹⁶ယခုမှာ အကျွန်ုပ်ခြေရာတို့ကို ကိုယ်တော်သည် ရေတွက်၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အပြစ်တို့ကို စောင့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁷Sealed up in a bag [is] my transgression, And Thou sewest up mine iniquity.

¹⁷အကျွန်ုပ်သည် မှားခြင်းအကြောင်းအရာကို အိတ်၌တံဆိပ်ခတ်၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်အပေါ်မှာ အထပ်ထပ်အပြစ်တင်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁸And yet, a falling mountain wasteth away, And a rock is removed from its place.

¹⁸ပြိုသောတောင်သည် ကွယ်ပျောက်တတ်ပါ၏။ ကျောက်သည်လည်း မိမိနေရာမှ ရွေ့လျော့တတ်ပါ၏။ ရေတိုက်သောကျောက်ခဲသည်လည်း ပွန်းတတ်ပါ၏။

¹⁹Stones have waters worn away, Their outpourings wash away the dust of earth, And the hope of man Thou hast destroyed.

¹⁹လွှမ်းမိုးသောရေနှင့်အတူ မြေမှုန့်ပါသွားတတ်ပါ၏။ ထိုအတူ ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူမြော်လင့်စရာ အကြောင်းကို ဖျက်တော်မူ၏။

²⁰Thou prevailest [over] him for ever, and he goeth, He is changing his countenance, And Thou sendest him away.

²⁰ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူကို အစဉ်နိုင်တော်မူ၍၊ လူသည်ကွယ်ပျောက်တတ်ပါ၏။ ထူးခြားသောမျက်နှာ ကို ပေး၍ အခြားသို့ လွှတ်လိုက်တော်မူ၏။

²¹Honoured are his sons, and he knoweth not; And they are little, and he attendeth not to them.

²¹သူ၏သားတို့သည် ချီးမြှောက်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သော်လည်း သူသည်မသိရပါ။ နှိမ့်ချခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သော် လည်း ထိုအမှုကိုပင် မရိပ်မိပါ။

²²Only — his flesh for him is pained, And his soul for him doth mourn.`

²²သို့ရာတွင် သူ၏ကိုယ်သည်ကိုက်ခဲလျက်၊ သူ၏ဝိညာဉ်သည်ညည်းတွားလျက်နေရပါသည်ဟု မြွတ်ဆို၏။
