1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
1တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မောရှေအား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊
2`Send for thee men, and they spy the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel; one man, one man for the tribe of his fathers ye do send, every one a prince among them.`
2ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့အား ငါပေးသော ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ၊ အမျိုးအနွယ်အသီး အသီးထဲက အဆွေအမျိုးသူကြီးဖြစ်သောသူ တမျိုး တယောက်စီ ရွေးကောက်၍ စေလွှတ်လော့ဟု၊
3And Moses sendeth them from the wilderness of Paran by the command of Jehovah; all of them [are] men, heads of the sons of Israel they are,
3ထာဝရဘုရားမှာ ထားတော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ မောရှေသည် လူတို့ကို ပါရန်တောက စေလွှတ်လေ၏။ စေလွှတ်သောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး၌ အကဲအမှူးဖြစ်ကြ၏။
4and these their names: For the tribe of Reuben, Shammua son of Zaccur.
4သူတို့အမည်ကား၊ ရုဗင်အမျိုး၊ ဇက္ကုရသားရှမွာ။
5For the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat son of Hori.
5ရှိမောင်အမျိုး၊ ဟောရိသား၊ ရှာဖတ်။
6For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh.
6ယုဒအမျိုး၊ ယေဖုန္နသားကာလက်၊
7For the tribe of Issachar, Igal son of Joseph.
7ဣသခါမအမျိုး၊ ယောသပ်သားဣဂါလ။
8For the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea, son of Nun.
8ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုး၊ နုန်သားဩရှေ
9For the tribe of Benjamin, Palti son of Raphu.
9ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုး၊ ရာဖုသားပါလတိ။
10For the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel son of Sodi.
10ဇာဗုလုန်အမျိုး၊ သောဒိသား ဂါဒျေလ။
11For the tribe of Joseph, (for the tribe of Manasseh,) Gaddi son of Susi.
11ယောသပ်သားတွင် မနာရှေအမျိုး၊ သုသိသား ဂဒ္ဒိ။
12For the tribe of Dan, Ammiel son of Gemalli.
12ဒန်အမျိုး၊ ဂေမလ္လိသားအမျေလ။
13For the tribe of Asher, Sethur son of Michael.
13အာရှာအမျိုး၊ မိက္ခေလသား သေသုရ။
14For the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi son of Vopshi.
14နဿလိအမျိုး၊ ဝါဖသိသားနာဘိ၊
15For the tribe of Gad, Geuel son of Machi.
15ဂဒ်အမျိုး မာခိသားဂွေလတည်းဟူသော၊
16These [are] the names of the men whom Moses hath sent to spy the land; and Moses calleth Hoshea son of Nun, Jehoshua.
16ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ မောရှေ စေလွှတ်သော သူတို့၏အမည်တည်း။ နုန်၏သားဩရှေကို ယောရှုဟူသောအမည်ဖြင့် မောရှေမှည့်လေ၏။
17And Moses sendeth them to spy the land of Canaan, and saith unto them, `Go ye up this [way] into the south, and ye have gone up the mountain,
17ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ မောရှေ စေလွှတ်လျက်၊ သင်တို့သည် တောင်မျက်နှာလမ်းဖြင့် သွား၍ တောင်ရိုးပေါ်သို့ တက်ကြလော့။
18and have seen the land what it [is], and the people which is dwelling on it, whether it [is] strong or feeble; whether it [is] few or many;
18ထိုပြည်သည် အဘယ်သို့သော ပြည်ဖြစ် သနည်း။ ပြည်သားတို့သည် အားကြီးသလော၊ အား နည်းသလော။ များသလော၊ နည်းသလော။
19and what the land [is] in which it is dwelling, whether it [is] good or bad; and what [are] the cities in which it is dwelling, whether in camps or in fortresses;
19သူတို့နေသောပြည် သည် ကောင်းသလော၊ မကောင်းလော။ သူတို့နေသော မြို့ရွာတို့သည် အဘယ်သို့နည်း တဲနှင့်နေကြသလော။ ခိုင်ခံ့သော မြို့နှင့်နေကြသလော။
20And what the land [is], whether it [is] fat or lean; whether there is wood in it or not; and ye have strengthened yourselves, and have taken of the fruit of the land;` and the days [are] days of the first-fruits of grapes.
20ထိုမြေသည် ကောင်းသလော၊ မကောင်းလော၊ တောများသလော၊ နည်းသလောဟုကြည့်ရှုကြလော့။ ရဲရင့်သောစိတ်ရှိကြလော့။ သစ်သီးအချို့ကိုလည်း ယူခဲ့ ကြလော့ဟု မှာလိုက်လေ၏။ ထိုကာလသည် စပျစ်သီး မှည့်စကာလဖြစ်သတည်း။
21And they go up and spy the land, from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob at the going in to Hamath;
21ထိုသူတို့သည် ဇိနတောမှသွား၍ ဟာမတ်မြို့သို့ ရောက်သော လမ်းနား၊ ရဟောဘမြို့တိုင်အောင် ခါနာန် ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းကြ၏။
22and they go up by the south, and come in unto Hebron, and there [are] Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, children of Anak (and Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt),
22တောင်မျက်နှာ၌ ရှောက်သွား၍ အာနက အမျိုး သားအဟိမန်၊ ရှေရှဲ တာလမဲနေသော ဟေဗြုန်မြို့သို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။ ဟေဗြုန်မြို့ကား၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌ ဇောနမြို့ မတည်မှီ ခုနစ်နှစ်ကတည်းသော မြို့ဖြစ်သတည်း။
23and they come in unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down thence a branch and one cluster of grapes, and they bear it on a staff by two, also [some] of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
23ဧရှကောလချိုင့်သို့ ရောက်လျှင် အသီးတပြွတ် ပါသောစပျစ်နွယ်ပင် အခက်တခက်ကို ခုတ်၍ လူ နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် ထမ်းဘိုးနှင့်ထမ်းကြ၏။ သလဲသီး၊ သင်္ဘောသဖန်းသီးများကိုလည်း ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။
24That place hath [one] called Brook of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the sons of Israel cut from thence.
24ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားခုတ်ယူသော စပျစ်သီး ပြွတ်ကို ထောက်၍၊ ထိုချိုင့်ကို ဧရှကောလချိုင့်ဟူသော အမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်သတည်း။
25And they turn back from spying the land at the end of forty days.
25အရက်လေးဆယ်လွန်မှ ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်း သော အမှုပြီး၍ ပြန်လာကြ၏။
26And they go and come in unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company of the sons of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and they bring them and all the company back word, and shew them the fruit of the land.
26မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန်မှစ၍ ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့နေရာ ပါရန်တော၊ ကာဒေရှ အရပ်သို့ ရောက်သောအခါ ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့အား သိတင်းကြားပြော၍ ထိုပြည်၌ သီးသော အသီးကို ပြကြ၏။
27And they recount to him, and say, `We came in unto the land whither thou hast sent us, and also it [is] flowing with milk and honey — and this [is] its fruit;
27မောရှေအားလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်ကိုယ်တော် စေလွှတ်သော ပြည်သို့ရောက်ခဲ့ပါပြီ။ အကယ်စင်စစ် ထိုပြည်သည် နို့နှင့်ပျားရည်စီးသော ပြည်ဖြစ်ပါ၏။ ဤအသီးတို့ ကား ထိုပြည်၌သီးသော အသီးဖြစ်ပါ၏။
28only, surely the people which is dwelling in the land [is] strong; and the cities are fenced, very great; and also children of Anak we have seen there.
28သို့ရာတွင် ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့သည် အားကြီး ပါ၏။ ခိုင်ခံ့သော မြို့ကြီးနှင့်နေကြပါ၏။ ထိုမျှမက အာနကအမျိုးသားတို့ကိုလည်း မြင်ရပါ၏။
29Amalek is dwelling in the land of the south, and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite is dwelling in the hill country, and the Canaanite is dwelling by the sea, and by the side of the Jordan.`
29အာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် တောင်ဘက် ၌၎င်း၊ ဟိတ္တိလူ၊ ယေဗုသိလူ၊ အာမောရိလူတို့သည် တောင်ရိုးပေါ်၌၎င်း၊ ခါနာနိလူတို့သည် ပင်လယ်နား ယော်ဒန်မြစ်နား၌၎င်း၊ နေကြပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ဆိုကြ ၏။
30And Caleb stilleth the people concerning Moses, and saith, `Let us certainly go up — and we have possessed it; for we are thoroughly able for it.`
30ကာလက်ကလည်း ချက်ခြင်းချီသွား၍ ထိုပြည် ကို သိမ်းယူကြစို့။ အောင်နိုင်ကောင်းသည်ဟု ဆို၍ မောရှေရှေ့မှာ လူများတို့ကို ငြိမ်းစေ၏။
31And the men who have gone up with him said, `We are not able to go up against the people, for it [is] stronger than we;`
31သူနှင့်အတူလိုက်သွားသော သူတို့က ထိုပြည် သားတို့ကို ငါတို့ မတိုက်နိုင်။ သူတို့သည် ငါတို့ထက် သာ၍ အားကြီးကြသည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊
32and they bring out an evil account of the land which they have spied unto the sons of Israel, saying, `The land into which we passed over to spy it, is a land eating up its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in its midst [are] men of stature;
32ငါတို့သွား၍ စူးစမ်းသောပြည်သည် မိမိသား တို့ကို ဖျက်ဆီးတတ်၏။ ငါတို့တွေ့မြင်သော ပြည်သား အပေါင်းတို့သည် အလွန်အရပ်မြင့်ကြ၏။
33and there we saw the Nephilim, sons of Anak, of the Nephilim; and we are in our own eyes as grasshoppers; and so we were in their eyes.`
33ကိုယ်ကြီးသော လူအမျိုးအနွယ် အာနကအမျိုး အနွယ်ဖြစ်၍ အလွန်ကြီးမားသော သူတို့ကိုလည်း မြင်ခဲ့ ကြပြီ။ သူတို့ရှေ့မှာ ငါတို့သည် ကိုယ်အထင်တိုင်း နှံကောင်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ မိမိတို့စူးစမ်းသော ပြည်ကို ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့အား မကောင်းသော သိတင်းကို ကြားပြောကြလေ၏။
