1Paul and Timotheus, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with overseers and ministrants;
1ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ, ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਫ਼ਿਲਿੱਪੈ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਸ ਸਹਾਇਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ।
2Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ।
3I give thanks to my God upon all the remembrance of you,
3ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
4always, in every supplication of mine for you all, with joy making the supplication,
4ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
5for your contribution to the good news from the first day till now,
5ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
6having been confident of this very thing, that He who did begin in you a good work, will perform [it] till a day of Jesus Christ,
6ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੰਮ ਆਰੰਭਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
7according as it is righteous for me to think this in behalf of you all, because of my having you in the heart, both in my bonds, and [in] the defence and confirmation of the good news, all of you being fellow-partakers with me of grace.
7ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਉਂ, ਸੋਚਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
8For God is my witness, how I long for you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ,
8ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਹਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ।
9and this I pray, that your love yet more and more may abound in full knowledge, and all judgment,
9ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਹੈ; ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਧ ਤੋਂ ਵਧ ਵਧੇ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਚਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਹੋਵੇ;
10for your proving the things that differ, that ye may be pure and offenceless — to a day of Christ,
10ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਤੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਕਰਨ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਚੁਣ ਸਕੋਂ; ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਹੋਵੋਂ।
11being filled with the fruit of righteousness, that [is] through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
11ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੋਂ।
12And I wish you to know, brethren, that the things concerning me, rather to an advancement of the good news have come,
12ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਨਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੋ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ, ਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧ ਤੋਂ ਵਧ ਫ਼ੈਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
13so that my bonds have become manifest in Christ in the whole praetorium, and to the other places — all,
13ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡ਼ੇ ਰੋਮੀ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
14and the greater part of the brethren in the Lord, having confidence by my bonds, are more abundantly bold — fearlessly to speak the word.
14ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਹੌਂਸਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਲੇਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।
15Certain, indeed, even through envy and contention, and certain also through good-will, do preach the Christ;
15ਕੁਝ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਈਰਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਕੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
16the one, indeed, of rivalry the Christ do proclaim, not purely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds,
16ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
17and the other out of love, having known that for defence of the good news I am set:
17ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਮਨੋਬਿਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨ ਗਲਤ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਅਡ਼ਚਨਾਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ।
18what then? in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed — and in this I rejoice, yea, and shall rejoice.
18ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਢੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਜਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੈਂ, ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖਾਂਗਾ।
19For I have known that this shall fall out to me for salvation, through your supplication, and the supply of the Spirit of Christ Jesus,
19ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਲਿਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ।
20according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, and in all freedom, as always, also now Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death,
20ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸਚਮੁੱਚ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਰਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਜਾ ਮਰਾਂ।
21for to me to live [is] Christ, and to die gain.
21ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਗੱਲ ਮਸੀਹ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਹੈ। “ਮੌਤ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦੇਮੰਦ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”
22And if to live in the flesh [is] to me a fruit of work, then what shall I choose? I know not;
22ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲਈ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਕਿਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਮਰਨ ਦੀ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
23for I am pressed by the two, having the desire to depart, and to be with Christ, for it is far better,
23ਜਿਉਣ ਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨੀ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਮੁਚ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਕਿਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੈ।
24and to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account,
24ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਲੋਡ਼ ਹੈ।
25and of this being persuaded, I have known that I shall remain and continue with you all, to your advancement and joy of the faith,
25ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਲੋਡ਼ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਇਥੇ ਠਹਿਰਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਧੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
26that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence again to you.
26ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।
27Only worthily of the good news of the Christ conduct ye yourselves, that, whether having come and seen you, whether being absent I may hear of the things concerning you, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul, striving together for the faith of the good news,
27ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੋਵੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੇ ਢੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਵਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਥੋਂ ਦੂਡ਼ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਲਈ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਖੁਸ਼ ਖਬਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।
28and not terrified in anything by those opposing, which to them indeed is a token of destruction, and to you of salvation, and that from God;
28ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਬੂਤ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
29because to you it was granted, on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also on behalf of him to suffer;
29ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਲਈ ਦੁਖ ਝੱਲਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਲਈ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
30the same conflict having, such as ye saw in me, and now hear of in me.
30ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਜਦ੍ਦੋ-ਜਹਿਦ ਵੇਖੀ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।
