1If, then, any exhortation [is] in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
1ਕੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ? ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕਠੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਹਾਂ। ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੈ?
2fulfil ye my joy, that ye may mind the same thing — having the same love — of one soul — minding the one thing,
2ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਮੈਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ। ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਕਸਾਥ ਜੁਡ਼ਕੇ ਰਹੋ। ਇੱਕੋ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਰਖਕੇ ਇਕਠੇ ਜਿਉਂਵੋ।
3nothing in rivalry or vain-glory, but in humility of mind one another counting more excellent than yourselves —
3ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਜਾਂ ਖੋਖਲੇ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ, ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਬਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿਉ।
4each not to your own look ye, but each also to the things of others.
4ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਡਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਸੋਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
5For, let this mind be in you that [is] also in Christ Jesus,
5ਆਪਣੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਨੋਬਿਰਤੀ ਰਖੋ, ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਸੀ।
6who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not robbery to be equal to God,
6ਮਸੀਹ ਖੁਦ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੀ। ਮਸੀਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਰੱਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਸੀ।
7but did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made,
7ਇਸ ਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ, ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿਤ੍ਤ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
8and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death — death even of a cross,
8ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਉਸਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
9wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that [is] above every name,
9ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਉਭਾਰਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ।
10that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow — of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth —
10ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਰ ਗੋਡਾ ਝੁਕੇਗਾ।
11and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
11ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਜੀਭ ਇਹ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ, “ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ।” ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਲਿਆਉਣਗੇ।
12So that, my beloved, as ye always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling your own salvation work out,
12ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਲੋਕੋ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਡੇਸ਼ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਨੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ, ਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਮਹਾਨ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖੋ।
13for God it is who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
13ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਛਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਸਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
14All things do without murmurings and reasonings,
14ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਜਾਂ ਦਲੀਲਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਕਰਨੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖੋ।
15that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, unblemished in the midst of a generation crooked and perverse, among whom ye do appear as luminaries in the world,
15ਕੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ੁਧ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪੀਢ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਕਬ੍ਬੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਰੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕੋ।
16the word of life holding forth, for rejoicing to me in regard to a day of Christ, that not in vain did I run, nor in vain did I labour;
16ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਡ਼ੀ ਰਖੋ। ਇਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਕਰੋ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
17but if also I am poured forth upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and joy with you all,
17ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਸ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਂ। ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਲਹੂ ਵਹਾਉਣਾ ਪਵੇ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
18because of this do ye also rejoice and joy with me.
18ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
19And I hope, in the Lord Jesus, Timotheus to send quickly to you, that I also may be of good spirit, having known the things concerning you,
19ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਰਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਖਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।
20for I have no one like-minded, who sincerely for the things concerning you will care,
20ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਲੇ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਰਖੇਗਾ।
21for the whole seek their own things, not the things of the Christ Jesus,
21ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ।
22and the proof of him ye know, that as a child [serveth] a father, with me he did serve in regard to the good news;
22ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
23him, indeed, therefore, I hope to send, when I may see through the things concerning me — immediately;
23ਮੇਰਾ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਛੇਤੀ ਭੇਜਣ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਲਾਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
24and I trust in the Lord that I myself also shall quickly come.
24ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
25And I thought [it] necessary Epaphroditus — my brother, and fellow-workman, and fellow-soldier, and your apostle and servant to my need — to send unto you,
25ਮੈਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਪਾਫ਼ਰੋਦੀਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ, ਇੱਕ ਸਾਥੀ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਹ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਲੋਡ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ।
26seeing he was longing after you all, and in heaviness, because ye heard that he ailed,
26ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਮੰਦ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ।
27for he also ailed nigh to death, but God did deal kindly with him, and not with him only, but also with me, that sorrow upon sorrow I might not have.
27ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਵਿਖਾਈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨਾ ਝੱਲਣੀ ਪਵੇ।
28The more eagerly, therefore, I did send him, that having seen him again ye may rejoice, and I may be the less sorrowful;
28ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੋਂਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵੀ ਘਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
29receive him, therefore, in the Lord, with all joy, and hold such in honour,
29ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰੋ। ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਰਗੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
30because on account of the work of the Christ he drew near to death, having hazarded the life that he might fill up your deficiency of service unto me.
30ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸਨੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦੇਣ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵੀ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਜਿਹੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।
