1ترنيمة المصاعد. الى الرب في ضيقي صرخت فاستجاب لي.
1A Song of Ascents. In my distress I cried unto Jehovah, And he answered me.
2يا رب نج نفسي من شفاه الكذب من لسان غش.
2Deliver my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips, [And] from a deceitful tongue.
3ماذا يعطيك وماذا يزيد لك لسان الغش.
3What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, Thou deceitful tongue?
4سهام جبار مسنونة مع جمر الرتم.
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, With coals of juniper.
5ويلي لغربتي في ماشك لسكني في خيام قيدار.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
6طال على نفسي سكنها مع مبغض السلام.
6My soul hath long had her dwelling With him that hateth peace.
7انا سلام وحينما اتكلم فهم للحرب
7I am [for] peace: But when I speak, they are for war.
