¹Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

¹Karon kita nga mga malig-on, kinahanglan nga pagayayungan ta ang mga kaluya sa mga maiuyahon, ug dili kita magpahamuot sa atong kaugalingon.

²Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.

²Ang tagsatagsa kanato magpahamuot sa iyang isigkatawo niadtong maayo alang sa pagpalig-on.

³For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

³Kay si Cristo wala usab magpahamuot sa iyang kaugalingon: kondili ingon sa nahasulat na: Ang mga pagpakaulaw sa mga nagpakaulaw kanimo, nangahulog sa ibabaw kanako.

⁴For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

⁴Kay ang tanang mga butang nga nahasulat na kaniadto, gisulat sa pagtoon kanato; aron tungod sa pagpailub ug sa paglipay sa mga Kasulatan adunay paglaum kita.

⁵Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:

⁵Karon ang Dios sa pagpailub ug sa paglipay magatugot kaninyo, nga manag-hiusa kamo sa inyong mga hunahuna ang usa ug usa, sumala kang Cristo Jesus;

⁶that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶Aron sa pagkahiusa, pagahimayaon ninyo sa usa ka baba ang Dios ug Amahan sa atong Ginoong Jesucristo.

⁷Wherefore receive ye one another, even as Christ also received you, to the glory of God.

⁷Tungod niini, magdinawatay kamo ang usa ug usa, ingon sa pagdawat usab ni Cristo kaninyo alang sa himaya sa Dios.

⁸For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises [given] unto the fathers,

⁸Kay nagaingon ako, nga si Cristo gibuhat nga ministro sa circuncicion tungod sa kamatuoran sa Dios aron nga iyang mapalig-onan ang mga saad nga iyang gihatag sa mga ginikanan;

⁹and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, Therefore will I give praise unto thee among the Gentiles, And sing unto thy name.

⁹Ug aron nga pagahimayaon sa mga Gentil ang Dios tungod sa iyang kalooy, ingon sa nahasulat na: Tungod niini, ako magadayeg kanimo sa taliwala sa mga Gentil, ug magaawit ako sa imong ngalan.

¹⁰And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

¹⁰Ug nagaingon usab: Managkalipay kamo, mga Gentil, uban sa iyang katawohan.

¹¹And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

¹¹Ug usab: Managdayeg kamo sa Ginoo, ngatanan kamo nga mga Gentil; ug managpadaku kaniya ang tanan nga mga katawohan.

¹²And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.

¹²Ug nagaingon usab si Isaias: Moanhi ang gamut ni Isai, ug kadtong magatindog sa paghari sa mga Gentil; kaniya ang mga Gentil managlaum.

¹³Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹³Karon ang Dios sa paglaum magapuno kaninyo sa bug-os nga kalipay ug pakigdait diha sa pagtoo, aron modagaya kaninyo ang paglaum diha sa gahum sa Espiritu Santo.

¹⁴And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

¹⁴Ug ako sa akong kaugalingon nasayud usab tungod kaninyo, mga igsoon ko, nga kamo sa inyong kaugalingon napuno sa kaayo, napuno sa tanang kahibalo, ug arang usab sa pagtinambagay ang usa ug usa.

¹⁵But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,

¹⁵Apan nagasulat ako kaninyo sa labing maisugon sa usa ka paagi, nga daw pagpukaw sa inyong panumduman pag-usab, pinaagi sa gracia nga gihatag kanako sa Dios.

¹⁶that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶Apan sa akong pagkaministro ni Cristo Jesus ngadto sa mga Gentil, sa pag-alagad sa Maayong Balita sa Dios, aron ang mga Gentil nga gihalad mahimut-an niya, sanglit gibalaan diha sa Espiritu Santo.

¹⁷I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

¹⁷Busa ang paghimaya ko anaa kang Cristo Jesus sa mga butang nga iya sa Dios.

¹⁸For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

¹⁸Kay ako dili mangahas sa pagsulti mahitungod sa bisan unsa sa mga butang, gawas kadtong gibuhat ni Cristo pinaagi kanako, aron pagatumanon sa mga Gentil, sa pulong ug sa buhat;

¹⁹in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

¹⁹Tungod sa gahum sa mga ilhanan ug sa mga katingalahan, tungod sa gahum sa Espiritu Santo, aron nga sukad sa Jerusalem ug sa paglibut hangtud sa Ilirico giwali ko sa hingpit ang Maayong Balita ni Cristo;

²⁰yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man's foundation;

²⁰Oo, sa pagkaagi nga gihimo ko nga maoy akong tuyo ang pagsangyaw sa Maayong Balita, dili sa dapit diin nahinganlan na si Cristo, aron dili makagtukod ako sa ibabaw sa patukoranan sa laing tawo;

²¹but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.

²¹Apan, ingon sa nahasulat na: Ang wala abuti sa mga balita, makakita; ug kadtong wala makadungog, makasabut.

²²Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:

²²Tungod usab niini, sa nakadaghan ako maulangi sa pag-anha kaninyo.

²³but now, having no more any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come unto you,

²³Apan karon, kay wala na akoy dapit dinhi niining mga kayutaan, ug kay nagahandum ako sa pag-anha kaninyo niining daghanang mga tuig.

²⁴whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

²⁴Kong moadto ako sa España, kay milaum ako nga sa akong panaw makita ko kamo, ug igapahatud ako ninyo sa akong paggikan paingon didto; kong una sa tanan sa usa ka pagkaagi ako mahimuot sa inyong pakigkauban.

²⁵but now, I [say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.

²⁵Apan karon, giingon ko, moadto ako sa Jerusalem sa pagtabang sa mga balaan.

²⁶For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.

²⁶Kay gikalipay pag-ayo sa Macedonia ug sa Acaya ang usa ka pag-amut alang sa mga kabus nga balaan nga atua sa Jerusalem.

²⁷Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.

²⁷Oo, gikalipay nila kini pag-ayo, sa pagkamatuod, ug sila mga mag-uutang nila. Kay kong ang mga Gentil nahimong umalambit sa mga butang nga espirituhanon, mga utangan sila usab sa pag-alagad kanila sa mga butang nga lawasnon.

²⁸When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by you unto Spain.

²⁸Busa sa matuman ko kini, ug sa hingtiman-an alang kanila kini nga bunga, moagi ako diha paingon sa España.

²⁹And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.

²⁹Ug nasayud ako nga kong moanha ako kaninyo, moanha ako sa kahupnganan sa panalangin ni Cristo.

³⁰Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

³⁰Karon ginapangamuyo ko kaninyo, mga igsoon, pinaagi sa atong Ginoong Jesucristo, ug sa gugma sa Espiritu, nga magpanlimbasug kamo sa tingub uban kanako sa inyong mga pag-ampo sa Dios alang kanako;

³¹that I may be delivered from them that are disobedient in Judaea, and [that] my ministration which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

³¹Aron mahilikay sako sa mga malalison sa Judea, ug nga ang akong pag-alagad alang sa Jerusalem mahimut-an sa mga balaan;

³²that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

³²Aron ako moabut kaninyo sa kalipay, pinaagi sa kabubut-on sa Dios, ug malinawon uban kaninyo.

³³Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

³³Karon ang Dios sa pakigdait magauban unta kaninyong tanan. Amen.
