¹But him that is weak in faith receive ye, [yet] not for decision of scruples.

¹Apan dawata ninyo kadtong maluya sa pagtoo, dili sa maduhaduhaon nga mga paglantugi.

²One man hath faith to eat all things: but he that is weak eateth herbs.

²Usa ka tawo may pagtoo nga siya makakaon sa tanang butang, apan ang maluya nagakaon ug mga utanon.

³Let not him that eateth set at nought him that eateth not; and let not him that eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

³Ang nagakaon dili magtamay sa wala magkaon; ug ang wala magakaon dili maghukom sa nagakaon; kay gidawat siya sa Dios.

⁴Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own lord he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be made to stand; for the Lord hath power to make him stand.

⁴Si kinsa ka ba nga nagahukom sa sulogoon sa lain nga tawo? Sa iyang kaugalingon nga agalon siya nagatindog kun siya, kay ang Dios gamhanan sa pagpatindog kaniya.

⁵One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.

⁵Usa ka tawo nagapakamahal sa usa ka adlaw nga labi kay sa usa; ang laing tawo nagapakamahal sa tanan nga mga adlaw. Pasagdi ang tagsatagsa nga masayud sa bug-os sa iyang kaugalingong hunahuna.

⁶He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord: and he that eateth, eateth unto the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, unto the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

⁶Ang nagalihi sa adlaw, nagalihi niini sa Ginoo. Ang nagakaon, nagakaon ngadto sa Ginoo, kay siya nagapasalamat sa Dios; ug ang wala magakaon, wala magakaon ngadto sa Ginoo, ug nagapasalamat sa Dios.

⁷For none of us liveth to himself, and none dieth to himself.

⁷Kay walay bisan kinsa kanato nga nagakinabuhi alang sa iyang kaugalingon, ug walay bisan kinsa nga mamatay alang sa iyang kaugalingon.

⁸For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; or whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

⁸Kay kong kita buhi, nagakinabuhi kita alang sa Ginoo; ug kong kita mamatay, mamatay kita alang sa Ginoo; busa kong kita buhi, kun kita mamatay, iya kita sa Ginoo.

⁹For to this end Christ died and lived [again], that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

⁹Kay alang niini nga tuyo namatay si Cristo ug nabubi pag-usab, aron siya mahimong Ginoo sa mga minatay ug sa mga buhi usab.

¹⁰But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or thou again, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God.

¹⁰Apan ikaw, nganong nagahukom ka sa imong igsoon? Kun ikaw, usab, nganong nagatamay ka sa imong igsoon? Kay kitang tanan moatubang sa hukmanan sa Dios.

¹¹For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God.

¹¹Kay nahasulat na: Maingon nga buhi ako, nagaingon ang Ginoo, kanako mangapiko ang tanang tuhod, ug ang tanang dila magasugid sa Dios.

¹²So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.

¹²Sa ingon niana, ang tagsatagsa kanato magahatag ug husay sa iyang kaugalingon ngadto sa Dios.

¹³Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother's way, or an occasion of falling.

¹³Busa dili na kita maghinukmanay ang usa ug usa. Apan hukman ninyo hinoon kini, nga walay tawo nga magbutang ug kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol, kun kahigayonan sa pagkahulog sa dalan sa iyang igsoon.

¹⁴I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: save that to him who accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

¹⁴Nanghibalo ako, ug nasayud ako tungod sa Ginoong Jesus, nga walay bisan unsa nga mahugaw sa iyang kaugalingon, gawas niadtong nagaisip nga adunay mga butang nga mahugaw, kana kaniya mahugaw.

¹⁵For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.

¹⁵Kay kong pinaagi sa imong pagkaon, ang imong igsoon nasubo, wala ka magkinabuhi diha sa paghigugma. Dili mo paglaglagon tungod sa imong pagkaon siya kang kinsa nagpakamatay si Cristo.

¹⁶Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

¹⁶Busa, dili unta pagpasipalahan ang inyong kaayo;

¹⁷for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷Kay ang gingharian sa Dios dili pagkaon ug pag-inum, kondili pagkamatarung ug pakigdait ug kalipay diha sa Espiritu Santo.

¹⁸For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.

¹⁸Kay ang nagaalagad kang Cristo niini, nagapahimuot sa Dios, ug gidayeg sa mga tawo.

¹⁹So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.

¹⁹Busa, sundon ta ang mga butang nga makadugang sa pakigdait, ug ang mga butang nga tungod kanila may paglinig-onay ang usa ug usa.

²⁰Overthrow not for meat's sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean; howbeit it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

²⁰Dili mo pagbungkagon, tungod sa imong pagkaon, ang binuhat sa Dios. Ang tanang butang, sa pagkamatuod, mahinlo; apan dautan kini alang niadtong tawo nga sa pagkaon nagahatag ug kahigayonan sa pagkapangdol.

²¹It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor [to do anything] whereby thy brother stumbleth.

²¹Maayo ang dili pagkaon ug unod, bisan pag-inum ug vino, bisan unsang butanga nga makapapangdol sa imong igsoon, kun nakapaluya kaniya.

²²The faith which thou hast, have thou to thyself before God. Happy is he that judgeth not himself in that which he approveth.

²²Aduna ka bay pagtoo? Tipigi alang kanimo sa atubangan sa Dios. Bulahan ang tawo nga sa iyang kaugalingon walay paghukom sa iyang gidalayeg.

²³But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

²³Apan ang nagaduhaduha ginahukman kong mokaon, kay nagakaon siya dili gikan sa pagtoo; ug ang tanan nga dili gikan sa pagtoo, sala.
