¹And David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.

¹ Wedi iddo ymgynghori � chap-teiniaid y miloedd a'r cannoedd, ac �'r holl swyddogion,

²And David said unto all the assembly of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and if it be of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad every where unto our brethren that are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us;

² dywedodd Dafydd wrth holl gynulleidfa Israel, "Os ydych yn cytuno, ac os dyma ewyllys yr ARGLWYDD ein Duw, gadewch inni anfon gair at ein perthnasau sydd ar �l yn holl wlad Israel, a hefyd at yr offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid sydd mewn dinasoedd gyda chytir, yn gofyn iddynt ymuno � ni.

³and let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we sought not unto it in the days of Saul.

³ Yna down ag arch ein Duw yn �l atom, oherwydd yn nyddiau Saul yr oeddem yn ei hesgeuluso."

⁴And all the assembly said that they would do so; for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

⁴ Cytunodd yr holl gynulleidfa i wneud felly am fod y peth yn dderbyniol gan bawb.

⁵So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor [the brook] of Egypt even unto the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.

⁵ Felly casglodd Dafydd Israel gyfan o Sihor yn yr Aifft hyd at Lebo-hamath, i ddod ag arch Duw o Ciriath-jearim.

⁶And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, [that is], to Kiriath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God Jehovah that sitteth [above] the cherubim, that is called by the Name.

⁶ Ac aeth Dafydd a holl Israel i Baala yn Jwda, sef Ciriath-jearim, i gyrchu oddi yno arch Duw, a enwir ar �l yr ARGLWYDD sydd �'i orsedd ar y cerwbiaid.

⁷And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, [and brought it] out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.

⁷ Daethant ag arch Duw ar fen newydd o du375? Abinadab, ac Ussa ac Ah�o oedd yn tywys y fen.

⁸And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

⁸ Yr oedd Dafydd a holl Israel yn gorfoleddu o flaen Duw �'u holl ynni, dan ganu gyda thelynau, nablau, tympanau, symbalau a thrwmpedau.

⁹And when they came unto the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.

⁹ Pan ddaethant at lawr dyrnu Cidon, estynnodd Ussa ei law i afael yn yr arch am fod yr ychen yn ei hysgwyd.

¹⁰And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put forth his hand to the ark; and there he died before God.

¹⁰ Enynnodd dicter yr ARGLWYDD yn erbyn Ussa, ac fe'i trawodd am iddo estyn ei law at yr arch; a bu farw yno gerbron Duw.

¹¹And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza, unto this day.

¹¹ Cynhyrfodd Dafydd am fod llid yr ARGLWYDD wedi torri allan yn erbyn Ussa, a galwodd y lle hwnnw yn Peres Ussa; a dyna'i enw hyd y dydd hwn.

¹²And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

¹² Yr oedd ofn Duw ar Ddafydd y diwrnod hwnnw a dywedodd, "Sut y dof ag arch Duw i mewn ataf?"

¹³So David removed not the ark unto him into the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

¹³ Felly ni ddaeth Dafydd �'r arch i Ddinas Dafydd, ond fe'i rhoddodd yn nhu375? Obed-edom o Gath.

¹⁴And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months: and Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.

¹⁴ Bu arch Duw yn nhu375? Obed-edom a'i deulu am dri mis. A bendithiodd yr ARGLWYDD du375? Obed-edom a'i holl eiddo.
