¹And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them,

¹ Dechreuodd y bobl amlhau ar wyneb y ddaear, a ganwyd merched iddynt;

²that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.

² yna gwelodd meibion Duw fod y merched yn hardd, a chymerasant wragedd o'u plith yn �l eu dewis.

³And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.

³ A dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, "Ni fydd fy ysbryd yn aros am byth mewn meidrolyn, oherwydd cnawd yw; ond cant ac ugain o flynyddoedd fydd hyd ei oes."

⁴The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.

⁴ Y Neffilim oedd ar y ddaear yr amser hwnnw, ac wedi hynny hefyd, pan oedd meibion Duw yn cyfathrachu �'r merched, a hwythau'n geni plant iddynt. Dyma'r cedyrn gynt, gwu375?r enwog.

⁵And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

⁵ Pan welodd yr ARGLWYDD fod drygioni'r bobl yn fawr ar y ddaear, a bod holl ogwydd eu bwriadau bob amser yn ddrwg,

⁶And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

⁶ bu edifar gan yr ARGLWYDD iddo wneud dyn ar y ddaear, a gofidiodd yn fawr.

⁷And Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

⁷ Yna dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD, "Dileaf oddi ar wyneb y ddaear y bobl a greais, ie, dyn ac anifail, ymlusgiaid ac adar yr awyr, oherwydd y mae'n edifar gennyf imi eu gwneud."

⁸But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah.

⁸ Ond cafodd Noa ffafr yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD.

⁹These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, [and] perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.

⁹ Dyma genedlaethau Noa. Gu373?r cyfiawn oedd Noa, perffaith yn ei oes; a rhodiodd Noa gyda Duw.

¹⁰And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

¹⁰ Yr oedd Noa'n dad i dri o feibion: Sem, Cham a Jaffeth.

¹¹And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

¹¹ Aeth y ddaear yn llygredig gerbron Duw, ac yn llawn trais.

¹²And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

¹² A gwelodd Duw fod y ddaear yn llygredig, am fod bywyd pob peth byw ar y ddaear wedi ei lygru.

¹³And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

¹³ Yna dywedodd Duw wrth Noa, "Yr wyf wedi penderfynu difodi pob cnawd, oherwydd llanwyd y ddaear � thrais ganddynt; yr wyf am eu difetha o'r ddaear.

¹⁴Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

¹⁴ Gwna i ti arch o bren goffer; gwna gelloedd ynddi a rho drwch o byg arni, oddi mewn ac oddi allan.

¹⁵And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

¹⁵ Dyma'i chynllun: hyd yr arch, tri chan cufydd; ei lled, hanner can cufydd; ei huchder, deg cufydd ar hugain.

¹⁶A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

¹⁶ Gwna do hefyd i'r arch, a gorffen ei grib gufydd yn uwch; gosod ddrws yr arch yn ei hochr, a gwna hi'n dri llawr, yr isaf, y canol a'r uchaf.

¹⁷And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon this earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.

¹⁷ Edrych, yr wyf ar fin dwyn dyfroedd y dilyw ar y ddaear, i ddifetha pob cnawd dan y nef ag anadl einioes ynddo; bydd popeth ar y ddaear yn trengi.

¹⁸But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

¹⁸ Ond sefydlaf fy nghyfamod � thi; fe ei di i'r arch, ti a'th feibion a'th wraig, a gwragedd dy feibion gyda thi.

¹⁹And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

¹⁹ Yr wyt i fynd � dau o bob math o'r holl greaduriaid byw i mewn i'r arch i'w cadw'n fyw gyda thi, sef gwryw a benyw.

²⁰Of the birds after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

²⁰ Daw atat ddau o bob math o'r adar yn �l eu rhywogaeth, o'r anifeiliaid yn �l eu rhywogaeth, ac o holl ymlusgiaid y tir yn �l eu rhywogaeth, i'w cadw'n fyw.

²¹And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

²¹ Cymer hefyd o bob bwyd sy'n cael ei fwyta, a chasgla ef ynghyd; bydd yn ymborth i ti ac iddynt hwythau."

²²Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

²² Felly y gwnaeth Noa; gwnaeth bopeth fel y gorchmynnodd Duw iddo.
