¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

¹Al la hxorestro. Psalmo de David. GXis kiam, ho Eternulo, Vi tute forgesos pri mi? GXis kiam Vi kasxos Vian vizagxon antaux mi?

²How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

²GXis kiam mi havos zorgojn en mia animo Kaj sopirojn en mia koro cxiutage? GXis kiam mia malamiko estos supre super mi?

³Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

³Rigardu kaj auxdu min, ho Eternulo, mia Dio; Lumigu miajn okulojn, ke mi ne ekdormu per morto;

⁴Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

⁴Ke ne diru mia malamiko:Mi lin venkis; Ke ne gxoju miaj premantoj, se mi falos.

⁵But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

⁵Sed mi esperas al Via favorkoreco; Mia koro gxojas pro Via savo.

⁶I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

⁶Mi kantos al la Eternulo, CXar Li faris al mi bonon.
