Psalms

14

1For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.
1Al la hxorestro. De David. La sensagxulo diris en sia koro:Dio ne ekzistas. Ili sentauxgigxis, ili abomenigxis pro siaj faroj; Ekzistas neniu, kiu faras bonon.
2Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.
2La Eternulo el la cxielo ekrigardis la homidojn, Por vidi, cxu ekzistas prudentulo, kiu sercxas Dion.
3They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
3CXiuj devojigxis, cxiuj malvirtigxis; Ekzistas neniu, faranta bonon, ne ekzistas ecx unu.
4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?
4CXu ne prudentigxos cxiuj, kiuj faras malbonon, Kiuj mangxas mian popolon, kiel oni mangxas panon, Kaj kiuj ne vokas al la Eternulo?
5There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.
5Tie ili forte ektimis, CXar Dio estas en la generacio de la justuloj.
6Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge.
6Vi malhonoris la konsilon de malricxulo, Sed la Eternulo estas lia rifugxejo.
7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
7Ho, ke venu el Cion savo al Izrael! Kiam la Eternulo revenigos Sian forkaptitan popolon, Tiam triumfos Jakob kaj gxojos Izrael.
