¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].

¹Al la hxorestro. Psalmo de David. Ho Eternulo, Vi min esploras kaj min konas.

²Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off.

²Vi scias, kiam mi sidas kaj kiam mi levigxas; Vi komprenas mian penson de malproksime.

³Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways.

³Kiam mi iras kaj kiam mi ripozas, Vi estas cxirkaux mi, Kaj cxiujn miajn vojojn Vi konas.

⁴For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.

⁴CXar antaux ol trovigxas vorto sur mia lango, Jen, ho Eternulo, Vi cxion jam scias.

⁵Thou hast beset me behind and before, And laid thy hand upon me.

⁵De malantauxe kaj de antauxe Vi cxirkauxbaris min Kaj metis sur min Vian manon.

⁶[Such] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it.

⁶Mirinda estas por mi tia sciado, tro alta; Mi gxin ne povas kompreni.

⁷Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

⁷Kien mi iros for de Via spirito? Kaj kien mi kuros for de Via vizagxo?

⁸If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

⁸Se mi levigxos al la cxielo, Vi estas tie; Se mi kusxigxos en SXeol, jen Vi tie estas.

⁹If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

⁹CXu mi okupos la flugilojn de la matenrugxo, CXu mi logxigxos sur la rando de la maro:

¹⁰Even there shall thy hand lead me, And thy right hand shall hold me.

¹⁰Ankaux tie Via mano min kondukos, Kaj Via dekstra mano min tenos.

¹¹If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;

¹¹Se mi diros:Mallumo min kovros, Kaj la lumo cxirkaux mi farigxos nokto:

¹²Even the darkness hideth not from thee, But the night shineth as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike [to thee].

¹²Ecx mallumo ne mallumas antaux Vi, Kaj la nokto lumas kiel tago; Mallumo farigxas kiel lumo.

¹³For thou didst form my inward parts: Thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.

¹³CXar Vi kreis mian internajxon, Formis min en la ventro de mia patrino.

¹⁴I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.

¹⁴Mi gloras Vin, cxar mi estas mirinde kreita; Mirindaj estas Viaj kreitajxoj, Kaj mia animo tion bone konscias.

¹⁵My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, [And] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

¹⁵Ne estis kasxitaj antaux Vi miaj ostoj, Kiam mi estis kreata en kasxiteco, Kiam mi estis formata en la profundo de la tero.

¹⁶Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, [Even] the days that were ordained [for me], When as yet there was none of them.

¹⁶Mian embrion vidis Viaj okuloj, Kaj en Via libro estis enskribitaj cxiuj tagoj destinitaj, Kiam ankoraux ecx unu ne ekzistis.

¹⁷How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

¹⁷Kiel grandvaloraj estas por mi Viaj pensoj, ho Dio! Kiel granda estas ilia nombro!

¹⁸If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee.

¹⁸Se mi ilin kalkulus, ili estus pli multaj ol la sablo; Kiam mi vekigxas, mi estas ankoraux kun Vi.

¹⁹Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.

¹⁹Mortigu, ho Dio, la malvirtulojn, Kaj sangaviduloj forigxu de mi!

²⁰For they speak against thee wickedly, And thine enemies take [thy name] in vain.

²⁰Ili parolas pri Vi malice, Kaj Viaj malamikoj levigxas por trompo.

²¹Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

²¹Viajn malamantojn, ho Eternulo, mi ja malamas, Kaj Viajn kontrauxulojn mi abomenas.

²²I hate them with perfect hatred: They are become mine enemies.

²²Per ekstrema malamo mi ilin malamas; Ili farigxis por mi malamikoj.

²³Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts;

²³Esploru min, ho Dio, kaj konu mian koron; Provu min kaj sciu miajn pensojn.

²⁴And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

²⁴Kaj rigardu, cxu mi estas sur malbona vojo, Kaj gvidu min sur la vojo de eterneco.
