¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.

²Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge.

³There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard.

³Sen parolo kaj sen vortoj; Oni ne auxdas ilian vocxon.

⁴Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

⁴Tra la tuta mondo iras ilia ordono, Kaj gxis la fino de la universo iras iliaj vortoj; Por la suno Li arangxis tendon inter ili.

⁵Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.

⁵Kaj gxi eliras kiel fiancxo el sia baldakeno, GXojas kiel heroo, trakuranta sian vojon.

⁶His going forth is from the end of the heavens, And his circuit unto the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

⁶Sur unu rando de la cxielo estas gxia levigxo, Kaj gxia rondiro estas gxis aliaj randoj; Kaj nenio kasxigxas antaux gxia varmego.

⁷The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.

⁷La instruo de la Eternulo estas perfekta, gxojigas la animon; La atesto de la Eternulo estas certa, gxi sagxigas sensagxulon.

⁸The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁸La ordonoj de la Eternulo estas justaj, gxojigas la koron; La ordondiro de la Eternulo estas klara, faras lumon antaux la okuloj.

⁹The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, [and] righteous altogether.

⁹La timo antaux la Eternulo estas pura, restas eterne; La jugxoj de la Eternulo estas veraj, kaj cxiuj estas justaj.

¹⁰More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.

¹⁰Ili estas pli dezirindaj, ol oro kaj ol multe da plej pura oro; Ili estas pli dolcxaj, ol mielo kaj cxelaraj mielgutoj.

¹¹Moreover by them is thy servant warned: In keeping them there is great reward.

¹¹Ankaux Via sklavo instruigxis per ili; Kiu ilin observas, tiu havas grandan rekompencon.

¹²Who can discern [his] errors? Clear thou me from hidden [faults].

¹²Kiu scias siajn erarojn? Purigu min de eraroj kasxitaj.

¹³Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression.

¹³Ankaux de intencaj eraroj detenu Vian sklavon, Ke ili ne regu super mi. Tiam mi estos perfekta, kaj pura de granda peko.

¹⁴Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.

¹⁴Akceptu favore la vortojn el mia busxo kaj la parolon de mia koro antaux Vi, Ho Eternulo, mia Roko kaj mia Liberiganto.
