¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in thy righteousness.

¹Al la hxorestro. Psalmo de David. Vin, ho Eternulo, mi fidas, ke mi neniam estu hontigita; Per Via justeco savu min.

²Bow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily: Be thou to me a strong rock, A house of defence to save me.

²Klinu al mi Vian orelon, rapide savu min! Estu por mi forta roko, fortika kastelo, por helpi min.

³For thou art my rock and my fortress; Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

³CXar Vi estas mia roko kaj mia kastelo; Kaj pro Via nomo gvidu min kaj konduku min.

⁴Pluck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me; For thou art my stronghold.

⁴Eligu min el la reto, kiun ili metis kontraux mi; CXar Vi estas mia fortikajxo.

⁵Into thy hand I commend my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O Jehovah, thou God of truth.

⁵En Vian manon mi transdonas mian spiriton; Vi savas min, ho Eternulo, Dio de la vero.

⁶I hate them that regard lying vanities; But I trust in Jehovah.

⁶Mi malamas la adorantojn de vantaj idoloj, Sed mi fidas la Eternulon.

⁷I will be glad and rejoice in thy lovingkindness; For thou hast seen my affliction: Thou hast known my soul in adversities;

⁷Mi gajas kaj gxojas pro Via favoro; CXar Vi vidis min mizeron, Vi eksciis la suferojn de mia animo,

⁸And thou hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; Thou hast set my feet in a large place.

⁸Kaj Vi ne transdonis min en la manon de malamiko, Vi starigis miajn piedojn sur vasta loko.

⁹Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am in distress: Mine eye wasteth away with grief, [yea], my soul and my body.

⁹Korfavoru min, ho Eternulo, cxar mi suferas; Malfortigxis de malgxojo mia okulo, mia animo, kaj mia korpo.

¹⁰For my life is spent with sorrow, And my years with sighing: My strength faileth because of mine iniquity, And my bones are wasted away.

¹⁰CXar mia vivo konsumigxis de malgxojo kaj miaj jaroj de gxemado; Mia forto malaperis per mia kulpo, kaj miaj ostoj malfortigxis.

¹¹Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintance: They that did see me without fled from me.

¹¹Per cxiuj miaj malamikoj mi farigxis granda hontindajxo por miaj najbaroj Kaj terurajxo por miaj konatoj; Kiuj vidas min sur la strato, tiuj forkuras de mi.

¹²I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

¹²Oni forgesis pri mi en la koro, kiel pri mortinto; Mi farigxis kiel rompita vazo.

¹³For I have heard the defaming of many, Terror on every side: While they took counsel together against me, They devised to take away my life.

¹³CXar mi auxdas la insultojn de multaj; CXirkauxe estas minacoj; Ili kune konspiras kontraux mi, Ili intencas pereigi mian vivon.

¹⁴But I trusted in thee, O Jehovah: I said, Thou art my God.

¹⁴Sed mi-mi fidas Vin, ho Eternulo; Mi diras:Vi estas mia Dio.

¹⁵My times are in thy hand: Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

¹⁵En Via mano estas mia sorto; Savu min de la mano de miaj malamikoj kaj persekutantoj.

¹⁶Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: Save me in thy lovingkindness.

¹⁶Lumu per Via vizagxo al Via sklavo, Helpu min per Via boneco.

¹⁷Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah; for I have called upon thee: Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.

¹⁷Ho Eternulo, ne hontigu min, cxar mi vokis al Vi; Hontigitaj estu la malpiuloj, ili silentigxu por SXeol.

¹⁸Let the lying lips be dumb, Which speak against the righteous insolently, With pride and contempt.

¹⁸Mutigxu la mensogaj busxoj, Kiuj parolas arogante kontraux piulo, Kun fiero kaj malestimo.

¹⁹Oh how great is thy goodness, Which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, Which thou hast wrought for them that take refuge in thee, Before the sons of men!

¹⁹Kiel granda estas Via boneco, kiun Vi konservis por tiuj, kiuj Vin timas, Kaj kiun Vi faris antaux la homoj por tiuj, kiuj Vin fidas!

²⁰In the covert of thy presence wilt thou hide them from the plottings of man: Thou wilt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

²⁰Vi kovras ilin per la kovro de Via vizagxo kontraux homaj atencoj, Vi kasxas ilin en tendo kontraux malamikaj langoj.

²¹Blessed be Jehovah; For he hath showed me his marvellous lovingkindness in a strong city.

²¹Glorata estu la Eternulo, Kiu aperigis al mi mirindan favoron en fortikigita urbo.

²²As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: Nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications When I cried unto thee.

²²Kaj mi diris en mia konfuzigxo: Mi estas forpusxita for de Viaj okuloj; Tamen Vi auxskultis la vocxon de mia pregxo, kiam mi vokis al Vi.

²³Oh love Jehovah, all ye his saints: Jehovah preserveth the faithful, And plentifully rewardeth him that dealeth proudly.

²³Amu la Eternulon, cxiuj Liaj piuloj; La fidelulojn la Eternulo gardas, Kaj Li repagas suficxege al tiuj, kiuj agas malhumile.

²⁴Be strong, and let your heart take courage, All ye that hope in Jehovah.

²⁴Estu kuragxaj, kaj forta estu via koro, Vi cxiuj, kiuj esperas al la Eternulo!
