1And they brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God.
1Après qu'on eut amené l'arche de Dieu, on la plaça au milieu de la tente que David avait dressée pour elle, et l'on offrit devant Dieu des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces.
1ויביאו את ארון האלהים ויציגו אתו בתוך האהל אשר נטה לו דויד ויקריבו עלות ושלמים לפני האלהים׃
2And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.
2Quand David eut achevé d'offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices d'actions de grâces, il bénit le peuple au nom de l'Eternel.
2ויכל דויד מהעלות העלה והשלמים ויברך את העם בשם יהוה׃
3And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion [of flesh], and a cake of raisins.
3Puis il distribua à tous ceux d'Israël, hommes et femmes, à chacun un pain, une portion de viande et un gâteau de raisins.
3ויחלק לכל איש ישראל מאיש ועד אשה לאיש ככר לחם ואשפר ואשישה׃
4And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Jehovah, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Jehovah, the God of Israel:
4Il remit à des Lévites la charge de faire le service devant l'arche de l'Eternel, d'invoquer, de louer et de célébrer l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
4ויתן לפני ארון יהוה מן הלוים משרתים ולהזכיר ולהודות ולהלל ליהוה אלהי ישראל׃
5Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with psalteries and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;
5C'étaient: Asaph, le chef; Zacharie, le second après lui, Jeïel, Schemiramoth, Jehiel, Matthithia, Eliab, Benaja, Obed-Edom et Jeïel. Ils avaient des instruments de musique, des luths et des harpes; et Asaph faisait retentir les cymbales.
5אסף הראש ומשנהו זכריה יעיאל ושמירמות ויחיאל ומתתיה ואליאב ובניהו ועבד אדם ויעיאל בכלי נבלים ובכנרות ואסף במצלתים משמיע׃
6and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
6Les sacrificateurs Benaja et Jachaziel sonnaient continuellement des trompettes devant l'arche de l'alliance de Dieu.
6ובניהו ויחזיאל הכהנים בחצצרות תמיד לפני ארון ברית האלהים׃
7Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
7Ce fut en ce jour que David chargea pour la première fois Asaph et ses frères de célébrer les louanges de l'Eternel.
7ביום ההוא אז נתן דויד בראש להדות ליהוה ביד אסף ואחיו׃
8O give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known his doings among the peoples.
8Louez l'Eternel, invoquez son nom! Faites connaître parmi les peuples ses hauts faits!
8הודו ליהוה קראו בשמו הודיעו בעמים עלילתיו׃
9Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvellous works.
9Chantez, chantez en son honneur! Parlez de toutes ses merveilles!
9שירו לו זמרו לו שיחו בכל נפלאתיו׃
10Glory ye in his holy name; Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
10Glorifiez-vous de son saint nom! Que le coeur de ceux qui cherchent l'Eternel se réjouisse!
10התהללו בשם קדשו ישמח לב מבקשי יהוה׃
11Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.
11Ayez recours à l'Eternel et à son appui, Cherchez continuellement sa face!
11דרשו יהוה ועזו בקשו פניו תמיד׃
12Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
12Souvenez-vous des prodiges qu'il a faits, De ses miracles et des jugements de sa bouche,
12זכרו נפלאתיו אשר עשה מפתיו ומשפטי פיהו׃
13O ye seed of Israel his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
13Race d'Israël, son serviteur, Enfants de Jacob, ses élus!
13זרע ישראל עבדו בני יעקב בחיריו׃
14He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
14L'Eternel est notre Dieu; Ses jugements s'exercent sur toute la terre.
14הוא יהוה אלהינו בכל הארץ משפטיו׃
15Remember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
15Rappelez-vous à toujours son alliance, Ses promesses pour mille générations,
15זכרו לעולם בריתו דבר צוה לאלף דור׃
16[The covenant] which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,
16L'alliance qu'il a traitée avec Abraham, Et le serment qu'il a fait à Isaac;
16אשר כרת את אברהם ושבועתו ליצחק׃
17And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,
17Il l'a érigée pour Jacob en loi, Pour Israël en alliance éternelle,
17ויעמידה ליעקב לחק לישראל ברית עולם׃
18Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;
18Disant: Je te donnerai le pays de Canaan Comme l'héritage qui vous est échu.
18לאמר לך אתן ארץ כנען חבל נחלתכם׃
19When ye were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it;
19Ils étaient alors peu nombreux, Très peu nombreux, et étrangers dans le pays,
19בהיותכם מתי מספר כמעט וגרים בה׃
20And they went about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people.
20Et ils allaient d'une nation à l'autre Et d'un royaume vers un autre peuple;
20ויתהלכו מגוי אל גוי ומממלכה אל עם אחר׃
21He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
21Mais il ne permit à personne de les opprimer, Et il châtia des rois à cause d'eux:
21לא הניח לאיש לעשקם ויוכח עליהם מלכים׃
22[Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.
22Ne touchez pas à mes oints, Et ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes!
22אל תגעו במשיחי ובנביאי אל תרעו׃
23Sing unto Jehovah, all the earth; Show forth his salvation from day to day.
23Chantez à l'Eternel, vous tous habitants de la terre! Annoncez de jour en jour son salut;
23שירו ליהוה כל הארץ בשרו מיום אל יום ישועתו׃
24Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
24Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, Parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles!
24ספרו בגוים את כבודו בכל העמים נפלאתיו׃
25For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods.
25Car l'Eternel est grand et très digne de louange, Il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux;
25כי גדול יהוה ומהלל מאד ונורא הוא על כל אלהים׃
26For all the gods of the peoples are idols: But Jehovah made the heavens.
26Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, Et l'Eternel a fait les cieux.
26כי כל אלהי העמים אלילים ויהוה שמים עשה׃
27Honor and majesty are before him: Strength and gladness are in his place.
27La majesté et la splendeur sont devant sa face, La force et la joie sont dans sa demeure.
27הוד והדר לפניו עז וחדוה במקמו׃
28Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength;
28Familles des peuples, rendez à l'Eternel, Rendez à l'Eternel gloire et honneur!
28הבו ליהוה משפחות עמים הבו ליהוה כבוד ועז׃
29Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array.
29Rendez à l'Eternel gloire pour son nom! Apportez des offrandes et venez en sa présence, Prosternez-vous devant l'Eternel avec de saints ornements!
29הבו ליהוה כבוד שמו שאו מנחה ובאו לפניו השתחוו ליהוה בהדרת קדש׃
30Tremble before him, all the earth: The world also is established that it cannot be moved.
30Tremblez devant lui, vous tous habitants de la terre! Le monde est affermi, il ne chancelle point.
30חילו מלפניו כל הארץ אף תכון תבל בל תמוט׃
31Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth.
31Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre soit dans l'allégresse! Que l'on dise parmi les nations: L'Eternel règne!
31ישמחו השמים ותגל הארץ ויאמרו בגוים יהוה מלך׃
32Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; Let the field exult, and all that is therein;
32Que la mer retentisse avec tout ce qu'elle contient! Que la campagne s'égaie avec tout ce qu'elle renferme!
32ירעם הים ומלואו יעלץ השדה וכל אשר בו׃
33Then shall the trees of the wood sing for joy before Jehovah; For he cometh to judge the earth.
33Que les arbres des forêts poussent des cris de joie Devant l'Eternel! Car il vient pour juger la terre.
33אז ירננו עצי היער מלפני יהוה כי בא לשפוט את הארץ׃
34O give thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.
34Louez l'Eternel, car il est bon, Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!
34הודו ליהוה כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו׃
35And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us together and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks unto thy holy name, And to triumph in thy praise.
35Dites: Sauve-nous, Dieu de notre salut, Rassemble-nous, et retire-nous du milieu des nations, Afin que nous célébrions ton saint nom Et que nous mettions notre gloire à te louer!
35ואמרו הושיענו אלהי ישענו וקבצנו והצילנו מן הגוים להדות לשם קדשך להשתבח בתהלתך׃
36Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.
36Béni soit l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, D'éternité en éternité! Et que tout le peuple dise: Amen! Louez l'Eternel!
36ברוך יהוה אלהי ישראל מן העולם ועד העלם ויאמרו כל העם אמן והלל ליהוה׃
37So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required;
37David laissa là, devant l'arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel, Asaph et ses frères, afin qu'ils fussent continuellement de service devant l'arche, remplissant leur tâche jour par jour.
37ויעזב שם לפני ארון ברית יהוה לאסף ולאחיו לשרת לפני הארון תמיד לדבר יום ביומו׃
38and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
38Il laissa Obed-Edom et Hosa avec leurs frères, au nombre de soixante-huit, Obed-Edom, fils de Jeduthun, et Hosa, comme portiers.
38ועבד אדם ואחיהם ששים ושמונה ועבד אדם בן ידיתון וחסה לשערים׃
39and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,
39Il établit le sacrificateur Tsadok et les sacrificateurs, ses frères, devant le tabernacle de l'Eternel, sur le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon,
39ואת צדוק הכהן ואחיו הכהנים לפני משכן יהוה בבמה אשר בגבעון׃
40to offer burnt-offerings unto Jehovah upon the altar of burnt-offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Jehovah, which he commanded unto Israel;
40pour qu'ils offrissent continuellement à l'Eternel des holocaustes, matin et soir, sur l'autel des holocaustes, et qu'ils accomplissent tout ce qui est écrit dans la loi de l'Eternel, imposée par l'Eternel à Israël.
40להעלות עלות ליהוה על מזבח העלה תמיד לבקר ולערב ולכל הכתוב בתורת יהוה אשר צוה על ישראל׃
41and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, because his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever;
41Auprès d'eux étaient Héman et Jeduthun, et les autres qui avaient été choisis et désignés par leurs noms pour louer l'Eternel. Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours.
41ועמהם הימן וידותון ושאר הברורים אשר נקבו בשמות להדות ליהוה כי לעולם חסדו׃
42and with them Heman and Jeduthun [with] trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and [with] instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.
42Auprès d'eux étaient Héman et Jeduthun, avec des trompettes et des cymbales pour ceux qui les faisaient retentir, et avec des instruments pour les cantiques en l'honneur de Dieu. Les fils de Jeduthun étaient portiers.
42ועמהם הימן וידותון חצצרות ומצלתים למשמיעים וכלי שיר האלהים ובני ידותון לשער׃
43And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
43Tout le peuple s'en alla chacun dans sa maison, et David s'en retourna pour bénir sa maison.
43וילכו כל העם איש לביתו ויסב דויד לברך את ביתו׃
