³The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born unto him of Shua's daughter the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's first-born, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and he slew him.

⁴And Tamar his daughter-in-law bare him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

⁶And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; five of them in all.

⁶Fils de Zérach: Zimri, Ethan, Héman, Calcol et Dara. En tout: cinq. -

⁶ובני זרח זמרי ואיתן והימן וכלכל ודרע כלם חמשה׃

⁷And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who committed a trespass in the devoted thing.

⁸And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.

⁹The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

¹⁰And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

¹²and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse;

¹³and Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

¹⁴Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

¹⁶and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

¹⁸And Caleb the son of Hezron begat [children] of Azubah [his] wife, and of Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

¹⁸Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants d'Azuba, sa femme, et de Jerioth. Voici les fils qu'il eut d'Azuba: Jéscher, Schobab et Ardon.

¹⁸וכלב בן חצרון הוליד את עזובה אשה ואת יריעות ואלה בניה ישר ושובב וארדון׃

¹⁹And Azubah died, and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, who bare him Hur.

¹⁹Azuba mourut; et Caleb prit Ephrath, qui lui enfanta Hur.

¹⁹ותמת עזובה ויקח לו כלב את אפרת ותלד לו את חור׃

²⁰And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.

²⁰Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaleel. -

²⁰וחור הוליד את אורי ואורי הוליד את בצלאל׃

²¹And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he took [to wife] when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

²²And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

²²Segub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt-trois villes dans le pays de Galaad.

²²ושגוב הוליד את יאיר ויהי לו עשרים ושלוש ערים בארץ הגלעד׃

²³And Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even threescore cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

²³Les Gueschuriens et les Syriens leur prirent les bourgs de Jaïr avec Kenath et les villes de son ressort, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Makir, père de Galaad.

²³ויקח גשור וארם את חות יאיר מאתם את קנת ואת בנתיה ששים עיר כל אלה בני מכיר אבי גלעד׃

²⁴And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephrathah, then Abijah Hezron's wife bare him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

²⁴Après la mort de Hetsron à Caleb-Ephratha, Abija, femme de Hetsron, lui enfanta Aschchur, père de Tekoa.

²⁴ואחר מות חצרון בכלב אפרתה ואשת חצרון אביה ותלד לו את אשחור אבי תקוע׃

²⁵And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.

²⁵Les fils de Jerachmeel, premier-né de Hetsron, furent: Ram, le premier-né, Buna, Oren et Otsem, nés d'Achija.

²⁵ויהיו בני ירחמאל בכור חצרון הבכור רם ובונה וארן ואצם אחיה׃

²⁶And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

²⁶Jerachmeel eut une autre femme, nommée Athara, qui fut mère d'Onam. -

²⁶ותהי אשה אחרת לירחמאל ושמה עטרה היא אם אונם׃

²⁷And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

²⁷Les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jerachmeel, furent: Maats, Jamin et Eker. -

²⁷ויהיו בני רם בכור ירחמאל מעץ וימין ועקר׃

²⁸And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.

²⁸Les fils d'Onam furent: Schammaï et Jada. Fils de Schammaï: Nadab et Abischur.

²⁸ויהיו בני אונם שמי וידע ובני שמי נדב ואבישור׃

²⁹And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

²⁹Le nom de la femme d'Abischur était Abichaïl, et elle lui enfanta Achban et Molid.

²⁹ושם אשת אבישור אביהיל ותלד לו את אחבן ואת מוליד׃

³⁰And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children.

³⁰Fils de Nadab: Séled et Appaïm. Séled mourut sans fils.

³⁰ובני נדב סלד ואפים וימת סלד לא בנים׃

³¹And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.

³¹Fils d'Appaïm: Jischeï. Fils de Jischeï: Schéschan. Fils de Schéschan: Achlaï. -

³¹ובני אפים ישעי ובני ישעי ששן ובני ששן אחלי׃

³²And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.

³²Fils de Jada, frère de Schammaï: Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut sans fils.

³²ובני ידע אחי שמי יתר ויונתן וימת יתר לא בנים׃

³³And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

³³Fils de Jonathan: Péleth et Zara. -Ce sont là les fils de Jerachmeel. -

³³ובני יונתן פלת וזזא אלה היו בני ירחמאל׃

³⁴Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

³⁴Schéschan n'eut point de fils, mais il eut des filles. Schéschan avait un esclave égyptien nommé Jarcha.

³⁴ולא היה לששן בנים כי אם בנות ולששן עבד מצרי ושמו ירחע׃

³⁵And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

³⁵Et Schéschan donna sa fille pour femme à Jarcha, son esclave, à qui elle enfanta Attaï.

³⁵ויתן ששן את בתו לירחע עבדו לאשה ותלד לו את עתי׃

³⁶And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

³⁶Attaï engendra Nathan; Nathan engendra Zabad;

³⁶ועתי הליד את נתן ונתן הוליד את זבד׃

³⁷and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

³⁷Zabad engendra Ephlal; Ephlal engendra Obed;

³⁷וזבד הוליד את אפלל ואפלל הוליד את עובד׃

³⁸and Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

³⁸Obed engendra Jéhu; Jéhu engendra Azaria;

³⁸ועובד הוליד את יהוא ויהוא הוליד את עזריה׃

³⁹and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

³⁹Azaria engendra Halets; Halets engendra Elasa;

³⁹ועזריה הליד את חלץ וחלץ הליד את אלעשה׃

⁴⁰and Eleasah begat Sismai, and Sismai begat Shallum,

⁴⁰Elasa engendra Sismaï; Sismaï engendra Schallum;

⁴⁰ואלעשה הליד את ססמי וססמי הליד את שלום׃

⁴¹and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

⁴¹Schallum engendra Jekamja; Jekamja engendra Elischama.

⁴¹ושלום הוליד את יקמיה ויקמיה הליד את אלישמע׃

⁴²And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his first-born, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

⁴²Fils de Caleb, frère de Jerachmeel: Méscha, son premier-né, qui fut père de Ziph, et les fils de Maréscha, père d'Hébron.

⁴³And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

⁴³ובני חברון קרח ותפח ורקם ושמע׃

⁴⁴And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem begat Shammai.

⁴⁴ושמע הוליד את רחם אבי ירקעם ורקם הוליד את שמי׃

⁴⁵And the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.

⁴⁵Fils de Schammaï: Maon; et Maon, père de Beth-Tsur.

⁴⁵ובן שמי מעון ומעון אבי בית צור׃

⁴⁶And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.

⁴⁶Epha, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Motsa et Gazez. Haran engendra Gazez.

⁴⁶ועיפה פילגש כלב ילדה את חרן ואת מוצא ואת גזז וחרן הליד את גזז׃

⁴⁷And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jothan, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

⁴⁷Fils de Jahdaï: Réguem, Jotham, Guéschan, Péleth, Epha et Schaaph.

⁴⁷ובני יהדי רגם ויותם וגישן ופלט ועיפה ושעף׃

⁴⁸Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bare Sheber and Tirhanah.

⁴⁸Maaca, concubine de Caleb, enfanta Schéber et Tirchana.

⁴⁸פלגש כלב מעכה ילד שבר ואת תרחנה׃

⁴⁹She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

⁴⁹Elle enfanta encore Schaaph, père de Madmanna, et Scheva, père de Macbéna et père de Guibea. La fille de Caleb était Acsa.

⁴⁹ותלד שעף אבי מדמנה את שוא אבי מכבנה ואבי גבעא ובת כלב עכסה׃

⁵⁰These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim,

⁵¹Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

⁵²And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.

⁵²ויהיו בנים לשובל אבי קרית יערים הראה חצי המנחות׃

⁵³And the families of Kiriath-jearim: The Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

⁵³Les familles de Kirjath-Jearim furent: les Jéthriens, les Puthiens, les Schumathiens et les Mischraïens; de ces familles sont sortis les Tsoreathiens et les Eschthaoliens.

⁵³ומשפחות קרית יערים היתרי והפותי והשמתי והמשרעי מאלה יצאו הצרעתי והאשתאלי׃

⁵⁴The sons of Salma: Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.

⁵⁴Fils de Salma: Bethléhem et les Nethophatiens, Athroth-Beth-Joab, Hatsi-Hammanachthi, les Tsoreïens;

⁵⁴בני שלמא בית לחם ונטופתי עטרות בית יואב וחצי המנחתי הצרעי׃

⁵⁵And the families of scribes that dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

⁵⁵et les familles des scribes demeurant à Jaebets, les Thireathiens, les Schimeathiens et les Sucathiens. Ce sont les Kéniens, issus de Hamath, père de la maison de Récab.
