¹And the courses of the sons of Aaron [were these]. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

¹Voici les classes des fils d'Aaron. Fils d'Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eléazar et Ithamar.

¹ולבני אהרן מחלקותם בני אהרן נדב ואביהוא אלעזר ואיתמר׃

²But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

²Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, sans avoir de fils; et Eléazar et Ithamar remplirent les fonctions du sacerdoce.

²וימת נדב ואביהוא לפני אביהם ובנים לא היו להם ויכהנו אלעזר ואיתמר׃

³And David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

³David divisa les fils d'Aaron en les classant pour le service qu'ils avaient à faire; Tsadok appartenait aux descendants d'Eléazar, et Achimélec aux descendants d'Ithamar.

³ויחלקם דויד וצדוק מן בני אלעזר ואחימלך מן בני איתמר לפקדתם בעבדתם׃

⁴And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers' houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers' houses, eight.

⁴Il se trouva parmi les fils d'Eléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d'Ithamar, et on en fit la division; les fils d'Eléazar avaient seize chefs de maisons paternelles, et les fils d'Ithamar huit chefs de maisons paternelles.

⁴וימצאו בני אלעזר רבים לראשי הגברים מן בני איתמר ויחלקום לבני אלעזר ראשים לבית אבות ששה עשר ולבני איתמר לבית אבותם שמונה׃

⁵Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

⁵On les classa par le sort, les uns avec les autres, car les chefs du sanctuaire et les chefs de Dieu étaient des fils d'Eléazar et des fils d'Ithamar.

⁵ויחלקום בגורלות אלה עם אלה כי היו שרי קדש ושרי האלהים מבני אלעזר ובבני איתמר׃

⁶And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

⁶Schemaeja, fils de Nethaneel, le secrétaire, de la tribu de Lévi, les inscrivit devant le roi et les princes, devant Tsadok, le sacrificateur, et Achimélec, fils d'Abiathar, et devant les chefs des maisons paternelles des sacrificateurs et des Lévites. On tira au sort une maison paternelle pour Eléazar, et on en tira une autre pour Ithamar.

⁶ויכתבם שמעיה בן נתנאל הסופר מן הלוי לפני המלך והשרים וצדוק הכהן ואחימלך בן אביתר וראשי האבות לכהנים וללוים בית אב אחד אחז לאלעזר ואחז אחז לאיתמר׃

⁷Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

⁹the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

⁹le cinquième, à Malkija; le sixième, à Mijamin;

¹⁰the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

¹⁰le septième, à Hakkots; le huitième, à Abija;

¹¹the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

¹¹le neuvième, à Josué; le dixième, à Schecania;

¹¹לישוע התשעי לשכניהו העשרי׃

¹²the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

¹²le onzième, à Eliaschib; le douzième, à Jakim;

¹²לאלישיב עשתי עשר ליקים שנים עשר׃

¹³the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

¹³le treizième, à Huppa; le quatorzième, à Jeschébeab;

¹³לחפה שלשה עשר לישבאב ארבעה עשר׃

¹⁴the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

¹⁴le quinzième, à Bilga; le seizième, à Immer;

¹⁴לבלגה חמשה עשר לאמר ששה עשר׃

¹⁵the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

¹⁵le dix-septième, à Hézir; le dix-huitième, à Happitsets;

¹⁵לחזיר שבעה עשר להפצץ שמונה עשר׃

¹⁶the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

¹⁶le dix-neuvième, à Pethachja; le vingtième, à Ezéchiel;

¹⁶לפתחיה תשעה עשר ליחזקאל העשרים׃

¹⁷the one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,

¹⁷le vingt et unième, à Jakin; le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul;

¹⁷ליכין אחד ועשרים לגמול שנים ועשרים׃

¹⁸the three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.

¹⁸le vingt-troisième, à Delaja; le vingt-quatrième, à Maazia.

¹⁸לדליהו שלשה ועשרים למעזיהו ארבעה ועשרים׃

¹⁹This was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the house of Jehovah according to the ordinance [given] unto them by Aaron their father, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

¹⁹C'est ainsi qu'ils furent classés pour leur service, afin qu'ils entrassent dans la maison de l'Eternel en se conformant à la règle établie par Aaron, leur père, d'après les ordres que lui avait donnés l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël.

¹⁹אלה פקדתם לעבדתם לבוא לבית יהוה כמשפטם ביד אהרן אביהם כאשר צוהו יהוה אלהי ישראל׃

²⁰And of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

²⁰Voici les chefs du reste des Lévites. -Des fils d'Amram: Schubaël; des fils de Schubaël: Jechdia;

²⁰ולבני לוי הנותרים לבני עמרם שובאל לבני שובאל יחדיהו׃

²¹Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.

²¹de Rechabia, des fils de Rechabia: le chef Jischija.

²¹לרחביהו לבני רחביהו הראש ישיה׃

²²Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

²²Des Jitseharites: Schelomoth; des fils de Schelomoth: Jachath.

²²ליצהרי שלמות לבני שלמות יחת׃

²³And the sons [of Hebron]: Jeriah [the chief], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

²³Fils d'Hébron: Jerija, Amaria le second, Jachaziel le troisième, Jekameam le quatrième.

²³ובני יריהו אמריהו השני יחזיאל השלישי יקמעם הרביעי׃

²⁴The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

²⁴Fils d'Uziel: Michée; des fils de Michée: Schamir;

²⁴בני עזיאל מיכה לבני מיכה שמור׃

²⁵The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

²⁵frère de Michée: Jischija; des fils de Jischija: Zacharie. -

²⁵אחי מיכה ישיה לבני ישיה זכריהו׃

²⁶The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah: Beno.

²⁶Fils de Merari: Machli et Muschi, et les fils de Jaazija, son fils.

²⁶בני מררי מחלי ומושי בני יעזיהו בנו׃

²⁷The sons of Merari: of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

²⁷Fils de Merari, de Jaazija, son fils: Schoham, Zaccur et Ibri.

²⁷בני מררי ליעזיהו בנו ושהם וזכור ועברי׃

²⁸Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

²⁸De Machli: Eléazar, qui n'eut point de fils;

²⁸למחלי אלעזר ולא היה לו בנים׃

²⁹Of Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

²⁹de Kis, les fils de Kis: Jerachmeel.

²⁹לקיש בני קיש ירחמאל׃

³⁰And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.

³⁰Fils de Muschi: Machli, Eder et Jerimoth. Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon leurs maisons paternelles.

³⁰ובני מושי מחלי ועדר וירימות אלה בני הלוים לבית אבתיהם׃

³¹These likewise cast lots even as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' [houses] of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers' [houses] of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

³¹Eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les fils d'Aaron, ils tirèrent au sort devant le roi David, Tsadok et Achimélec, et les chefs des maisons paternelles des sacrificateurs et des Lévites. Il en fut ainsi pour chaque chef de maison comme pour le moindre de ses frères.

³¹ויפילו גם הם גורלות לעמת אחיהם בני אהרן לפני דויד המלך וצדוק ואחימלך וראשי האבות לכהנים וללוים אבות הראש לעמת אחיו הקטן׃
