¹למחלקות לשערים לקרחים משלמיהו בן קרא מן בני אסף׃

²And Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

²ולמשלמיהו בנים זכריהו הבכור ידיעאל השני זבדיהו השלישי יתניאל הרביעי׃

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

³Elam le cinquième, Jochanan le sixième, Eljoénaï le septième.

³עילם החמישי יהוחנן הששי אליהועיני השביעי׃

⁴And Obed-edom had sons: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

⁴Fils d'Obed-Edom: Schemaeja, le premier-né, Jozabad le second, Joach le troisième, Sacar le quatrième, Nethaneel le cinquième,

⁴ולעבד אדם בנים שמעיה הבכור יהוזבד השני יואח השלשי ושכר הרביעי ונתנאל החמישי׃

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

⁵Ammiel le sixième, Issacar le septième, Peulthaï le huitième; car Dieu l'avait béni.

⁵עמיאל הששי יששכר השביעי פעלתי השמיני כי ברכו אלהים׃

⁶Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

⁶A Schemaeja, son fils, naquirent des fils qui dominèrent dans la maison de leur père, car ils étaient de vaillants hommes;

⁶ולשמעיה בנו נולד בנים הממשלים לבית אביהם כי גבורי חיל המה׃

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

⁷fils de Schemaeja: Othni, Rephaël, Obed, Elzabad et ses frères, hommes vaillants, Elihu et Semaeja.

⁷בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אלזבד אחיו בני חיל אליהו וסמכיהו׃

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service; threescore and two of Obed-edom.

⁸Tous ceux-là étaient des fils d'Obed-Edom; eux, leurs fils et leurs frères, étaient des hommes pleins de vigueur et de force pour le service, soixante deux d'Obed-Edom.

⁸כל אלה מבני עבד אדם המה ובניהם ואחיהם איש חיל בכח לעבדה ששים ושנים לעבד אדם׃

⁹And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.

⁹Les fils et les frères de Meschélémia, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de dix-huit. -

⁹ולמשלמיהו בנים ואחים בני חיל שמונה עשר׃

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the first-born, yet his father made him chief),

¹⁰Des fils de Merari: Hosa, qui avait pour fils: Schimri, le chef, établi chef par son père, quoiqu'il ne fût pas le premier-né,

¹⁰ולחסה מן בני מררי בנים שמרי הראש כי לא היה בכור וישימהו אביהו לראש׃

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹Hilkija le second, Thebalia le troisième, Zacharie le quatrième. Tous les fils et les frères de Hosa étaient au nombre de treize.

¹¹חלקיהו השני טבליהו השלשי זכריהו הרבעי כל בנים ואחים לחסה שלשה עשר׃

¹²Of these were the courses of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brethren, to minister in the house of Jehovah.

¹²A ces classes de portiers, aux chefs de ces hommes et à leurs frères, fut remise la garde pour le service de la maison de l'Eternel.

¹²לאלה מחלקות השערים לראשי הגברים משמרות לעמת אחיהם לשרת בבית יהוה׃

¹³And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.

¹³Ils tirèrent au sort pour chaque porte, petits et grands, selon leurs maisons paternelles.

¹³ויפילו גורלות כקטן כגדול לבית אבותם לשער ושער׃

¹⁴And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a discreet counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

¹⁴Le sort échut à Schélémia pour le côté de l'orient. On tira au sort pour Zacharie, son fils, qui était un sage conseiller, et le côté du septentrion lui échut par le sort.

¹⁴ויפל הגורל מזרחה לשלמיהו וזכריהו בנו יועץ בשכל הפילו גורלות ויצא גורלו צפונה׃

¹⁵To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the store-house.

¹⁵Le côté du midi échut à Obed-Edom, et la maison des magasins à ses fils.

¹⁵לעבד אדם נגבה ולבניו בית האספים׃

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goeth up, watch against watch.

¹⁶Le côté de l'occident échut à Schuppim et à Hosa, avec la porte Schalléketh, sur le chemin montant: une garde était vis-à-vis de l'autre.

¹⁶לשפים ולחסה למערב עם שער שלכת במסלה העולה משמר לעמת משמר׃

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the store-house two and two.

¹⁷Il y avait à l'orient six Lévites, au nord quatre par jour, au midi quatre par jour, et quatre aux magasins en deux places différentes;

¹⁷למזרח הלוים ששה לצפונה ליום ארבעה לנגבה ליום ארבעה ולאספים שנים שנים׃

¹⁸For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

¹⁸du côté du faubourg, à l'occident, quatre vers le chemin, deux vers le faubourg.

¹⁸לפרבר למערב ארבעה למסלה שנים לפרבר׃

¹⁹These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

¹⁹אלה מחלקות השערים לבני הקרחי ולבני מררי׃

²⁰And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

²⁰L'un des Lévites, Achija, avait l'intendance des trésors de la maison de Dieu et des trésors des choses saintes.

²⁰והלוים אחיה על אוצרות בית האלהים ולאצרות הקדשים׃

²¹The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' [houses] belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

²¹Parmi les fils de Laedan, les fils des Guerschonites issus de Laedan, chefs des maisons paternelles de Laedan le Guerschonite, c'étaient Jehiéli,

²¹בני לעדן בני הגרשני ללעדן ראשי האבות ללעדן הגרשני יחיאלי׃

²²The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Jehovah.

²²et les fils de Jehiéli, Zétham et Joël, son frère, qui gardaient les trésors de la maison de l'Eternel.

²²בני יחיאלי זתם ויואל אחיו על אצרות בית יהוה׃

²³Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

²³לעמרמי ליצהרי לחברוני לעזיאלי׃

²⁴and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

²⁴c'était Schebuel, fils de Guerschom, fils de Moïse, qui était intendant des trésors.

²⁴ושבאל בן גרשום בן משה נגיד על האצרות׃

²⁵And his brethren: of Eliezer [came] Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

²⁵Parmi ses frères issus d'Eliézer, dont le fils fut Rechabia, dont le fils fut Esaïe, dont le fils fut Joram, dont le fils fut Zicri, dont le fils fut Schelomith,

²⁵ואחיו לאליעזר רחביהו בנו וישעיהו בנו וירם בנו וזכרי בנו ושלמות בנו׃

²⁶This Shelomoth and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers' [houses], the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

²⁶c'étaient Schelomith et ses frères qui gardaient tous les trésors des choses saintes qu'avaient consacrées le roi David, les chefs des maisons paternelles, les chefs de milliers et de centaines, et les chefs de l'armée:

²⁶הוא שלמות ואחיו על כל אצרות הקדשים אשר הקדיש דויד המלך וראשי האבות לשרי האלפים והמאות ושרי הצבא׃

²⁷Out of the spoil won in battles did they dedicate to repair the house of Jehovah.

²⁷c'était sur le butin pris à la guerre qu'ils les avaient consacrées pour l'entretien de la maison de l'Eternel.

²⁷מן המלחמות ומן השלל הקדישו לחזק לבית יהוה׃

²⁸And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whosoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brethren.

²⁸Tout ce qui avait été consacré par Samuel, le voyant, par Saül, fils de Kis, par Abner, fils de Ner, par Joab, fils de Tseruja, toutes les choses consacrées étaient sous la garde de Schelomith et de ses frères.

²⁸וכל ההקדיש שמואל הראה ושאול בן קיש ואבנר בן נר ויואב בן צרויה כל המקדיש על יד שלמית ואחיו׃

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

²⁹Parmi les Jitseharites, Kenania et ses frères étaient employés pour les affaires extérieures, comme magistrats et juges en Israël.

²⁹ליצהרי כנניהו ובניו למלאכה החיצונה על ישראל לשטרים ולשפטים׃

³⁰Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valor, a thousand and seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Jehovah, and for the service of the king.

³⁰Parmi les Hébronites, Haschabia et ses frères, hommes vaillants, au nombre de mille sept cents, avaient la surveillance d'Israël, de l'autre côté du Jourdain, à l'occident, pour toutes les affaires de l'Eternel et pour le service du roi.

³⁰לחברוני חשביהו ואחיו בני חיל אלף ושבע מאות על פקדת ישראל מעבר לירדן מערבה לכל מלאכת יהוה ולעבדת המלך׃

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers' [houses]. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

³¹En ce qui concerne les Hébronites, dont Jerija était le chef, on fit, la quarantième année du règne de David, des recherches à leur égard d'après leurs généalogies et leurs maisons paternelles, et l'on trouva parmi eux de vaillants hommes à Jaezer en Galaad.

³¹לחברוני יריה הראש לחברוני לתלדתיו לאבות בשנת הארבעים למלכות דויד נדרשו וימצא בהם גבורי חיל ביעזיר גלעד׃

³²And his brethren, men of valor, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers' [houses], whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.

³²Les frères de Jerija, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de deux mille sept cents chefs de maisons paternelles. Le roi David les établit sur les Rubénites, sur les Gadites et sur la demi-tribu de Manassé pour toutes les affaires de Dieu et pour les affaires du roi.

³²ואחיו בני חיל אלפים ושבע מאות ראשי האבות ויפקידם דויד המלך על הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט המנשי לכל דבר האלהים ודבר המלך׃
