¹Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

¹פולוס המקרא להיות שליח ישוע המשיח ברצון אלהים וסוסתניס אחינו׃

²unto the church of God which is at Corinth, [even] them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their [Lord] and ours:

²l'Eglise de Dieu qui est à Corinthe, à ceux qui ont été sanctifiés en Jésus-Christ, appelés à être saints, et à tous ceux qui invoquent en quelque lieu que ce soit le nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, leur Seigneur et le nôtre:

²אל קהלת אלהים אשר בקורנתוס אל המקדשים במשיח ישוע הקרואים להיות קדשים עם כל הקראים בשם אדנינו ישוע המשיח בכל מקום שלהם ושלנו׃

³Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de la part de Dieu notre Père et du Seigneur Jésus-Christ!

³חסד לכם ושלום מאת האלהים אבינו ואדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

⁴I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;

⁴Je rends à mon Dieu de continuelles actions de grâces à votre sujet, pour la grâce de Dieu qui vous a été accordée en Jésus-Christ.

⁴אודה לאלהי בעבורכם בכל עת על חסד האלהים הנתן לכם במשיח ישוע׃

⁵that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge;

⁵Car en lui vous avez été comblés de toutes les richesses qui concernent la parole et la connaissance,

⁵אשר עשרתם בו בכל בכל דבור ובכל דעת׃

⁶even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

⁶le témoignage de Christ ayant été solidement établi parmi vous,

⁶באשר עדות המשיח התקימה בכם׃

⁷so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;

⁷de sorte qu'il ne vous manque aucun don, dans l'attente où vous êtes de la manifestation de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

⁷עד כי לא חסרתם כל מתן החסד והנכם מחכים להתגלות אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

⁸who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye be] unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸Il vous affermira aussi jusqu'à la fin, pour que vous soyez irréprochables au jour de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

⁸אשר גם יקים אתכם ער עת קץ להיות נקיים ביום אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

⁹God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁹Dieu est fidèle, lui qui vous a appelés à la communion de son Fils, Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur.

⁹נאמן הוא האלהים אשר על פיו נקראתם לחברת בנו ישוע המשיח אדנינו׃

¹⁰Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

¹⁰Je vous exhorte, frères, par le nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, à tenir tous un même langage, et à ne point avoir de divisions parmi vous, mais à être parfaitement unis dans un même esprit et dans un même sentiment.

¹⁰והנני מזהיר אתכם אחי בשם אדנינו ישוע המשיח להיות כלכם פה אחד ולא תהיין מחלקות בקרבכם כי אם תכוננו יחד בלב אחד ובעצה אחת׃

¹¹For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them [that are of the household] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

¹¹Car, mes frères, j'ai appris à votre sujet, par les gens de Chloé, qu'il y a des disputes au milieu de vous.

¹¹כי הגד לי עליכם ביד בני בית כלואה כי יש מריבות ביניכם׃

¹²Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos: and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

¹²Je veux dire que chacun de vous parle ainsi: Moi, je suis de Paul! et moi, d'Apollos! et moi, de Céphas! et moi, de Christ!

¹²וזאת אני אמר כי איש איש מכם זה אמר לפולוס וזה לאפולוס וזה לכיפא וזה למשיח הנני׃

¹³Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

¹³Christ est-il divisé? Paul a-t-il été crucifié pour vous, ou est-ce au nom de Paul que vous avez été baptisés?

¹³הכי חלק המשיח הכי פולוס נצלב בעדכם או לשם פולוס נטבלתם׃

¹⁴I thank God that I baptized none of you, save Crispus and Gaius;

¹⁴Je rends grâces à Dieu de ce que je n'ai baptisé aucun de vous, excepté Crispus et Gaïus,

¹⁴אודה לאלהים שלא טבלתי איש מכם כי אם את קרספוס ואת גיוס׃

¹⁵lest any man should say that ye were baptized into my name.

¹⁵afin que personne ne dise que vous avez été baptisés en mon nom.

¹⁵פן יאמרו כי לשמי טבלתי׃

¹⁶And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

¹⁶J'ai encore baptisé la famille de Stéphanas; du reste, je ne sache pas que j'aie baptisé quelque autre personne.

¹⁶אך טבלתי גם את בני בית אסטפנוס ומלבד אלה אינני ידע אם טבלתי עוד איש אחר׃

¹⁷For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

¹⁷Ce n'est pas pour baptiser que Christ m'a envoyé, c'est pour annoncer l'Evangile, et cela sans la sagesse du langage, afin que la croix de Christ ne soit pas rendue vaine.

¹⁷כי לא שלחני המשיח לטבול כי אם לבשר לא בחכמת דברים למען אשר לא יהיה לריק צלב המשיח׃

¹⁸For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.

¹⁸Car la prédication de la croix est une folie pour ceux qui périssent; mais pour nous qui sommes sauvés, elle est une puissance de Dieu.

¹⁸כי דבר הצלב סכלות הוא לאבדים אבל לנו הנושעים גבורת אלהים הוא׃

¹⁹For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought.

¹⁹Aussi est-il écrit: Je détruirai la sagesse des sages, Et j'anéantirai l'intelligence des intelligents.

¹⁹כי כן כתוב אאבד חכמת חכמים ובינת נבונים אסתיר׃

²⁰Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

²⁰Où est le sage? où est le scribe? où est le disputeur de ce siècle? Dieu n'a-t-il pas convaincu de folie la sagesse du monde?

²⁰איה חכם איה ספר איה דרש העולם הזה הלא סכל האלהים את חכמת העולם הזה׃

²¹For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

²¹Car puisque le monde, avec sa sagesse, n'a point connu Dieu dans la sagesse de Dieu, il a plu à Dieu de sauver les croyants par la folie de la prédication.

²¹כי אחרי אשר בחכמת האלהים לא ידע העולם את האלהים בחכמה היה רצון לפניו להושיע בסכלות הקריאה את המאמינים׃

²²Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:

²²Les Juifs demandent des miracles et les Grecs cherchent la sagesse:

²²כי היהודים שאלים להם אות והיונים מבקשים חכמה׃

²³but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;

²³nous, nous prêchons Christ crucifié; scandale pour les Juifs et folie pour les païens,

²³ואנחנו משמיעים את המשיח הצלוב מכשול ליהודים וסכלות ליונים׃

²⁴but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

²⁴mais puissance de Dieu et sagesse de Dieu pour ceux qui sont appelés, tant Juifs que Grecs.

²⁴אבל למקראים הן מיהודים הן מיונים את המשיח אשר הוא גבורת אלהים וחכמת אלהים׃

²⁵Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

²⁵Car la folie de Dieu est plus sage que les hommes, et la faiblesse de Dieu est plus forte que les hommes.

²⁵יען כי סכלות האל חכמה היא מאדם וחלשת האל חזקה היא מאדם׃

²⁶For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:

²⁶Considérez, frères, que parmi vous qui avez été appelés il n'y a ni beaucoup de sages selon la chair, ni beaucoup de puissants, ni beaucoup de nobles.

²⁶כי ראו נא אחי את קריאתכם שלא רבים המה החכמים לפי הבשר לא רבים השליטים ולא רבים החרים׃

²⁷but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;

²⁷Mais Dieu a choisi les choses folles du monde pour confondre les sages; Dieu a choisi les choses faibles du monde pour confondre les fortes;

²⁷כי אם בסכל שבעולם בחר האל למען ביש את החכמים ובחלוש שבעולם בחר האל למען ביש את החזק׃

²⁸and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, [yea] and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:

²⁸et Dieu a choisi les choses viles du monde et celles qu'on méprise, celles qui ne sont point, pour réduire à néant celles qui sont,

²⁸ובדלת העולם בחר האל ובנמאס ובאשר כאין למען בטל את אשר ישנו׃

²⁹that no flesh should glory before God.

²⁹afin que nulle chair ne se glorifie devant Dieu.

²⁹כדי שלא יתהלל לפניו כל בשר׃

³⁰But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

³⁰Or, c'est par lui que vous êtes en Jésus-Christ, lequel, de par Dieu, a été fait pour nous sagesse, justice et sanctification et rédemption,

³⁰וממנו אתם במשיח ישוע אשר היה לנו לחכמה מאת האלהים ולצדקה ולקדוש ולפדיון׃

³¹that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

³¹afin, comme il est écrit, Que celui qui se glorifie se glorifie dans le Seigneur.

³¹ויהי ככתוב המתהלל יתהלל ביהוה׃
