¹Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

¹Pour ce qui concerne les dons spirituels, je ne veux pas, frères, que vous soyez dans l'ignorance.

¹ובענין הרוחניות אחי לא אכחד מכם דבר׃

²Ye know that when ye were Gentiles [ye were] led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might led.

²Vous savez que, lorsque vous étiez païens, vous vous laissiez entraîner vers les idoles muettes, selon que vous étiez conduits.

²הלא ידעתם כי בהיתכם גוים אחרי אלילים אלמים הובלתם כאשר נמשכתם׃

³Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.

³C'est pourquoi je vous déclare que nul, s'il parle par l'Esprit de Dieu, ne dit: Jésus est anathème! et que nul ne peut dire: Jésus est le Seigneur! si ce n'est par le Saint-Esprit.

³לכן אודיע אתכם כי אין איש דבר ברוח אלהים אשר יאמר ישוע חרם הוא ולא יוכל איש לקרא לישוע אדון בלתי אם ברוח הקדש׃

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

⁴Il y a diversité de dons, mais le même Esprit;

⁴ושנות הנה המתנות אבל הרוח אחד הוא׃

⁵And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.

⁵diversité de ministères, mais le même Seigneur;

⁵ושנים המה השמושים והאדון אחד הוא׃

⁶And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.

⁶diversité d'opérations, mais le même Dieu qui opère tout en tous.

⁶ושנות הנה הפעלות והאלהים הוא אחד הפעל את הכל בכל׃

⁷But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.

⁷Or, à chacun la manifestation de l'Esprit est donnée pour l'utilité commune.

⁷ולכל איש ואיש נתנה לו התגלות הרוח להועיל׃

⁸For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:

⁸En effet, à l'un est donnée par l'Esprit une parole de sagesse; à un autre, une parole de connaissance, selon le même Esprit;

⁸כי האחד נתן לו על ידי הרוח דבור החכמה ולאחד דבור הדעת כפי הרוח ההוא׃

⁹to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;

⁹à un autre, la foi, par le même Esprit; à un autre, le don des guérisons, par le même Esprit;

⁹לאחר האמונה ברוח ההוא ולאחר מתנות הרפאות ברוח ההוא׃

¹⁰and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:

¹⁰à un autre, le don d'opérer des miracles; à un autre, la prophétie; à un autre, le discernement des esprits; à un autre, la diversité des langues; à un autre, l'interprétation des langues.

¹⁰ולאחר לפעל גבורות ולאחר נבואה ולאחר להבחין בין הרוחות ולאחר מיני לשנות ולאחר באור לשנות׃

¹¹but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.

¹¹Un seul et même Esprit opère toutes ces choses, les distribuant à chacun en particulier comme il veut.

¹¹וכל אלה פעל הרוח האחד ההוא המחלק לאיש איש כרצונו׃

¹²For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.

¹²Car, comme le corps est un et a plusieurs membres, et comme tous les membres du corps, malgré leur nombre, ne forment qu'un seul corps, ainsi en est-il de Christ.

¹²כי כאשר הגוף הוא אחד ויש בו אברים הרבה וכל אברי הגוף ההוא אף כי רבים הם כלם גוף אחד כן גם המשיח׃

¹³For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.

¹³Nous avons tous, en effet, été baptisés dans un seul Esprit, pour former un seul corps, soit Juifs, soit Grecs, soit esclaves, soit libres, et nous avons tous été abreuvés d'un seul Esprit.

¹³כי ברוח אחד נטבלנו כלנו לגוף אחד אם יהודים אם יונים אם עבדים אם בני חורין וכלנו לרוח אחד השקינו׃

¹⁴For the body is not one member, but many.

¹⁴Ainsi le corps n'est pas un seul membre, mais il est formé de plusieurs membres.

¹⁴כי גם הגוף לא אבר אחד הוא כי אם רבים׃

¹⁵If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.

¹⁵Si le pied disait: Parce que je ne suis pas une main, je ne suis pas du corps,  ne serait-il pas du corps pour cela?

¹⁵אם תאמר הרגל אינני יד על כן אינני מן הגוף הבעבור זאת איננה מן הגוף׃

¹⁶And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.

¹⁶Et si l'oreille disait: Parce que je ne suis pas un oeil, je ne suis pas du corps,  ne serait-elle pas du corps pour cela?

¹⁶ואם תאמרו האזן אינני עין על כן אינני מן הגוף הבעבור זאת איננה מן הגוף׃

¹⁷If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

¹⁷Si tout le corps était oeil, où serait l'ouïe? S'il était tout ouïe, où serait l'odorat?

¹⁷אם הגוף כלו יהיה עין איה השמע ואם כלו יהיה שמע איה הריח׃

¹⁸But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.

¹⁸Maintenant Dieu a placé chacun des membres dans le corps comme il a voulu.

¹⁸ועתה האלהים שת את האברים כל אחד ואחד מהם בגוף כמי רצונו׃

¹⁹And if they were all one member, where were the body?

¹⁹Si tous étaient un seul membre, où serait le corps?

¹⁹ואלו היו כלם אבר אחד איה הגוף׃

²⁰But now they are many members, but one body.

²⁰Maintenant donc il y a plusieurs membres, et un seul corps.

²⁰הנה רבים הם האברים והגוף אחד׃

²¹And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

²¹L'oeil ne peut pas dire à la main: Je n'ai pas besoin de toi; ni la tête dire aux pieds: Je n'ai pas besoin de vous.

²¹העין לא תוכל דבר אל היד לאמר לא אצטרך לך וגם הראש לא יוכל דבר אל הרגלים לאמר לא אצטרך לכן׃

²²Nay, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary:

²²Mais bien plutôt, les membres du corps qui paraissent être les plus faibles sont nécessaires;

²²כי להפך אברי הגוף הנראים רפים הם לנו לצרך ביותר׃

²³and those [parts] of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness;

²³et ceux que nous estimons être les moins honorables du corps, nous les entourons d'un plus grand honneur. Ainsi nos membres les moins honnêtes reçoivent le plus d'honneur,

²³והנראים לנו נקלים בגוף אתם נלביש ביתר כבוד ואשר לבשת לנו המה כאלו ההגונים מכלם׃

²⁴whereas our comely [parts] have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that [part] which lacked;

²⁴tandis que ceux qui sont honnêtes n'en ont pas besoin. Dieu a disposé le corps de manière à donner plus d'honneur à ce qui en manquait,

²⁴כי ההגונים לנו אינם צריכים לזאת אבל האלהים מזג ככה את הגוף שנתן כבוד יותר לגרוע׃

²⁵that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

²⁵afin qu'il n'y ait pas de division dans le corps, mais que les membres aient également soin les uns des autres.

²⁵למען לא תהיה מחלקת בגוף כי אם ידאגו כל האברים יחד זה לזה׃

²⁶And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or [one] member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

²⁶Et si un membre souffre, tous les membres souffrent avec lui; si un membre est honoré, tous les membres se réjouissent avec lui.

²⁶ואם יכאב אבר אחד יכאבו אתו כל האברים ואם יכבד אבד אחד ישמחו אתו כל האברים׃

²⁷Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.

²⁷Vous êtes le corps de Christ, et vous êtes ses membres, chacun pour sa part.

²⁷אכן גוף המשיח אתם ואבריו כל אחד לפי חלקו׃

²⁸And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, [divers] kinds of tongues.

²⁸Et Dieu a établi dans l'Eglise premièrement des apôtres, secondement des prophètes, troisièmement des docteurs, ensuite ceux qui ont le don des miracles, puis ceux qui ont les dons de guérir, de secourir, de gouverner, de parler diverses langues.

²⁸ומהם שם האלהים בקהל ראשונה לשליחים ושנית לנביאים ושלישית למלמדים ויתן גבורות אף מתנות הרפאות ועזרים ומנהיגים ומיני לשנות׃

²⁹Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all [workers of] miracles?

²⁹Tous sont-ils apôtres? Tous sont-ils prophètes? Tous sont-ils docteurs? Tous ont-ils le don des miracles?

²⁹הכלם שליחים אם כלם נביאים או כלם מלמדים הכלם עשי גבורות׃

³⁰have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

³⁰Tous ont-ils le don des guérisons? Tous parlent-ils en langues? Tous interprètent-ils?

³⁰הלכלם מתנות רפאות הכלם מדברים בלשנות הכלם מפרשי לשנות׃

³¹But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.

³¹Aspirez aux dons les meilleurs. Et je vais encore vous montrer une voie par excellence.

³¹ואתם התאוו המתנות המועילות ביותר ובכל זאת אראה אתכם דרך נעלה על כלנה׃
