¹And when the day of Pentecost was now come, they were all together in one place.

¹Le jour de la Pentecôte, ils étaient tous ensemble dans le même lieu.

¹וביום מלאת שבעת השבעות ויתאספו כלם לב אחד׃

²And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

²Tout à coup il vint du ciel un bruit comme celui d'un vent impétueux, et il remplit toute la maison où ils étaient assis.

²ויהי פתאם קול רעש מן השמים כקול רוח סערה וימלא את כל הבית אשר ישבו בו׃

³And there appeared unto them tongues parting asunder, like as of fire; and it sat upon each one of them.

³Des langues, semblables à des langues de feu, leur apparurent, séparées les unes des autres, et se posèrent sur chacun d'eux.

³ותראינה אליהם לשנות נחלקות ומראיהן כאש ותנוחינה אחת אחת על כל אחד מהם׃

⁴And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

⁴Et ils furent tous remplis du Saint-Esprit, et se mirent à parler en d'autres langues, selon que l'Esprit leur donnait de s'exprimer.

⁴וימלאו כלם רוח הקדש ויחלו לדבר בלשנות אחרות כאשר נתנם הרוח להטיף׃

⁵Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

⁵Or, il y avait en séjour à Jérusalem des Juifs, hommes pieux, de toutes les nations qui sont sous le ciel.

⁵ובירושלים שכנו יהודים אנשי חסד מכל גוי וגוי אשר תחת השמים׃

⁶And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language.

⁶Au bruit qui eut lieu, la multitude accourut, et elle fut confondue parce que chacun les entendait parler dans sa propre langue.

⁶ויהי בהיות קול הרעש ההוא ויקבצו עם רב ויהיו נבכים כי איש איש שמע אתם מדברים בשפת עמו׃

⁷And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilaeans?

⁷Ils étaient tous dans l'étonnement et la surprise, et ils se disaient les uns aux autres: Voici, ces gens qui parlent ne sont-ils pas tous Galiléens?

⁷וישתוממו ויתמהו ויאמרו איש אל רעהו הנה כל אלה המדברים הלא גלילים המה׃

⁸And how hear we, every man in our own language wherein we were born?

⁸Et comment les entendons-nous dans notre propre langue à chacun, dans notre langue maternelle?

⁸ואיך אנחנו שמעים אתם איש כשפת ארץ מולדתנו׃

⁹Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,

⁹Parthes, Mèdes, Elamites, ceux qui habitent la Mésopotamie, la Judée, la Cappadoce, le Pont, l'Asie,

⁹פרתיים ומדים ועילמים וישבי ארם נהרים יהודה וקפודקיה פנטוס ואסיא׃

¹⁰in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

¹⁰la Phrygie, la Pamphylie, l'Egypte, le territoire de la Libye voisine de Cyrène, et ceux qui sont venus de Rome, Juifs et prosélytes,

¹⁰פרוגיא ופמפוליא מצרים וחבל לוב אשר על יד קוריני והבאים מרומי גם יהודים גם גרים׃

¹¹Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God.

¹¹Crétois et Arabes, comment les entendons-nous parler dans nos langues des merveilles de Dieu?

¹¹כרתים וערבים הנה אנחנו שמעים אתם מספרים בלשנותינו גדלות האלהים׃

¹²And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

¹²Ils étaient tous dans l'étonnement, et, ne sachant que penser, ils se disaient les uns aux autres: Que veut dire ceci?

¹²וישתוממו כלם ויבהלו ויאמרו איש אל אחיו מה תהיה זאת׃

¹³But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine.

¹³Mais d'autres se moquaient, et disaient: Ils sont pleins de vin doux.

¹³ואחרים לעגו ויאמרו כי מלאי עסיס המה׃

¹⁴But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, [saying], Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words.

¹⁴Alors Pierre, se présentant avec les onze, éleva la voix, et leur parla en ces termes: Hommes Juifs, et vous tous qui séjournez à Jérusalem, sachez ceci, et prêtez l'oreille à mes paroles!

¹⁴אז יעמד פטרוס ועשתי העשר עמו וישא את קולו וידבר אליהם אנשי יהודה וישבי ירושלים כלכם זאת תודע לכם והאזינו אל דברי׃

¹⁵For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.

¹⁵Ces gens ne sont pas ivres, comme vous le supposez, car c'est la troisième heure du jour.

¹⁵כי אלה לא שכורים המה כאשר חשבתם כי שעה שלישית ביום עתה׃

¹⁶but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel:

¹⁶Mais c'est ici ce qui a été dit par le prophète Joël:

¹⁶אבל זה הוא האמור על ידי יואל הנביא׃

¹⁷And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:

¹⁷Dans les derniers jours, dit Dieu, je répandrai de mon Esprit sur toute chair; Vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront, Vos jeunes gens auront des visions, Et vos vieillards auront des songes.

¹⁷והיה באחרית הימים נאם אלהים אשפך את רוחי על כל בשר ונבאו בניכם ובנתיכם ובחוריכם חזינות יראו וזקניכם חלמות יחלמון׃

¹⁸Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

¹⁸Oui, sur mes serviteurs et sur mes servantes, Dans ces jours-là, je répandrai de mon Esprit; et ils prophétiseront.

¹⁸וגם על עבדי ועל שפחותי בימים ההמה אשפך את רוחי ונבאו׃

¹⁹And I will show wonders in the heaven above, And signs on the earth beneath; Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:

¹⁹Je ferai paraître des prodiges en haut dans le ciel et des miracles en bas sur la terre, Du sang, du feu, et une vapeur de fumée;

¹⁹ונתתי מופתים בשמים ממעל ואתות בארץ מתחת דם ואש ותימרות עשן׃

²⁰The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the day of the Lord come, That great and notable [day].

²⁰Le soleil se changera en ténèbres, Et la lune en sang, Avant l'arrivée du jour du Seigneur, De ce jour grand et glorieux.

²⁰השמש יהפך לחשך והירח לדם לפני בוא יום יהוה הגדול והנורא׃

²¹And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

²¹Alors quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur sera sauvé.

²¹והיה כל אשר יקרא בשם יהוה ימלט׃

²²Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God unto you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know;

²²Hommes Israélites, écoutez ces paroles! Jésus de Nazareth, cet homme à qui Dieu a rendu témoignage devant vous par les miracles, les prodiges et les signes qu'il a opérés par lui au milieu de vous, comme vous le savez vous-mêmes;

²²אנשי ישראל שמעו הדברים האלה ישוע הנצרי האיש אשר נאמן לכם מאת האלהים בגבורות ובמופתים ובאתות אשר האלהים עשה על ידו בתוככם כאשר ידעתם גם אתם׃

²³him, being delivered up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye by the hand of lawless men did crucify and slay:

²³cet homme, livré selon le dessein arrêté et selon la prescience de Dieu, vous l'avez crucifié, vous l'avez fait mourir par la main des impies.

²³אתו הנמסר על פי עצת האלהים הנחרצה וידיעתו מקום לקחתם ובידי רשעים הוקעתם והרגתם אתו׃

²⁴whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

²⁴Dieu l'a ressuscité, en le délivrant des liens de la mort, parce qu'il n'était pas possible qu'il fût retenu par elle.

²⁴והאלהים הקימו מן המתים בהתיר את חבלי המות באשר נמנע מן המות לעצר אתו׃

²⁵For David saith concerning him, I beheld the Lord always before my face; For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

²⁵Car David dit de lui: Je voyais constamment le Seigneur devant moi, Parce qu'il est à ma droite, afin que je ne sois point ébranlé.

²⁵כי דוד אמר עליו שויתי יהוה לנגדי תמיד כי מימיני בל אמוט׃

²⁶Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope:

²⁶Aussi mon coeur est dans la joie, et ma langue dans l'allégresse; Et même ma chair reposera avec espérance,

²⁶לכן שמח לבי ויגל כבודי אף בשרי ישכן לבטח׃

²⁷Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption.

²⁷Car tu n'abandonneras pas mon âme dans le séjour des morts, Et tu ne permettras pas que ton Saint voie la corruption.

²⁷כי לא תעזב נפשי לשאול לא תתן חסידך לראות שחת׃

²⁸Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.

²⁸Tu m'as fait connaître les sentiers de la vie, Tu me rempliras de joie par ta présence.

²⁸תודיעני ארחות חיים שבע שמחות את פניך׃

²⁹Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.

²⁹Hommes frères, qu'il me soit permis de vous dire librement, au sujet du patriarche David, qu'il est mort, qu'il a été enseveli, et que son sépulcre existe encore aujourd'hui parmi nous.

²⁹אנשים אחים הניחו לי ואדברה באזני כלכם על דוד אבינו אשר גם מת גם נקבר וקבורתו אתנו היא עד היום הזה׃

³⁰Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set [one] upon his throne;

³⁰Comme il était prophète, et qu'il savait que Dieu lui avait promis avec serment de faire asseoir un de ses descendants sur son trône,

³⁰והוא בהיותו נביא ומדעתו את השבועה אשר נשבע לו האלהים להקים את המשיח כפי הבשר מפרי חלציו להושיבו על כסאו׃

³¹he foreseeing [this] spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.

³¹c'est la résurrection du Christ qu'il a prévue et annoncée, en disant qu'il ne serait pas abandonné dans le séjour des morts et que sa chair ne verrait pas la corruption.

³¹לכן בחזותו מראש דבר על תקומת המשיח כי לא נעזבה נפשו לשאול וגם בשרו לא ראה שחת׃

³²This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses.

³²C'est ce Jésus que Dieu a ressuscité; nous en sommes tous témoins.

³²את ישוע זה הקים אלהים מן המתים ואנחנו כלנו עדיו׃

³³Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear.

³³Elevé par la droite de Dieu, il a reçu du Père le Saint-Esprit qui avait été promis, et il l'a répandu, comme vous le voyez et l'entendez.

³³ועתה אחרי הנשאו בימין האלהים לקח מאת האב את הבטחת רוח הקדש וישפך את אשר אתם ראים ושמעים׃

³⁴For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

³⁴Car David n'est point monté au ciel, mais il dit lui-même: Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite,

³⁴כי דוד לא עלה השמימה והנה הוא אמר נאם יהוה לאדני שב לימיני׃

³⁵Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.

³⁵Jusqu'à ce que je fasse de tes ennemis ton marchepied.

³⁵עד אשית איביך הדם לרגליך׃

³⁶Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.

³⁶Que toute la maison d'Israël sache donc avec certitude que Dieu a fait Seigneur et Christ ce Jésus que vous avez crucifié.

³⁶לכן ידע נא בית ישראל כלו כי לאדון ולמשיח שמו האלהים את ישוע זה אשר צלבתם׃

³⁷Now when they heard [this,] they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?

³⁷Après avoir entendu ce discours, ils eurent le coeur vivement touché, et ils dirent à Pierre et aux autres apôtres: Hommes frères, que ferons-nous?

³⁷ויהי כשמעם התעצבו אל לבם ויאמרו אל פטרוס ואל שאר השליחים אנשים אחים מה עלינו לעשות׃

³⁸And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

³⁸Pierre leur dit: Repentez-vous, et que chacun de vous soit baptisé au nom de Jésus-Christ, pour le pardon de vos péchés; et vous recevrez le don du Saint-Esprit.

³⁸ויאמר פטרוס אליהם שובו מדרכיכם והטבלו כל איש מכם על שם ישוע המשיח לסליחת חטאיכם וקבלתם את מתנת רוח הקדש׃

³⁹For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

³⁹Car la promesse est pour vous, pour vos enfants, et pour tous ceux qui sont au loin, en aussi grand nombre que le Seigneur notre Dieu les appellera.

³⁹כי לכם ההבטחה ולבניכם ולכל הרחוקים לכל אשר קרא יהוה אלהינו׃

⁴⁰And with many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

⁴⁰Et, par plusieurs autres paroles, il les conjurait et les exhortait, disant: Sauvez-vous de cette génération perverse.

⁴⁰ויעד עוד בהם באמרים אחרים הרבה ויזהר אתם לאמר המלטו נא מדור תהפכות הזה׃

⁴¹They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added [unto them] in that day about three thousand souls.

⁴¹Ceux qui acceptèrent sa parole furent baptisés; et, en ce jour-là, le nombre des disciples s'augmenta d'environ trois mille âmes.

⁴¹ויקבלו את דברו בשמחה ויטבלו וביום ההוא נוספו כשלשת אלפי נפש׃

⁴²And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.

⁴²Ils persévéraient dans l'enseignement des apôtres, dans la communion fraternelle, dans la fraction du pain, et dans les prières.

⁴²ויהיו שקדים על תורת השליחים ועל ההתחברות ועל בציעת הלחם ועל התפלה׃

⁴³And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

⁴³La crainte s'emparait de chacun, et il se faisait beaucoup de prodiges et de miracles par les apôtres.

⁴³ותפל אימה על כל נפש ומופתים רבים ואתות נעשו על ידי השליחים בירושלים׃

⁴⁴And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

⁴⁴Tous ceux qui croyaient étaient dans le même lieu, et ils avaient tout en commun.

⁴⁴וכל המאמינים התאחדו יחד ויהי להם הכל בשתפות׃

⁴⁵and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.

⁴⁵Ils vendaient leurs propriétés et leurs biens, et ils en partageaient le produit entre tous, selon les besoins de chacun.

⁴⁵ואת אחזתם ואת רכושם מכרו ויחלקו אתם לכלם לאיש איש די מחסורו׃

⁴⁶And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁶Ils étaient chaque jour tous ensemble assidus au temple, ils rompaient le pain dans les maisons, et prenaient leur nourriture avec joie et simplicité de coeur,

⁴⁶ויום יום היו שקדים במקדש לב אחד ויבצעו את הלחם בבית בבית׃

⁴⁷praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved.

⁴⁷louant Dieu, et trouvant grâce auprès de tout le peuple. Et le Seigneur ajoutait chaque jour à l'Eglise ceux qui étaient sauvés.

⁴⁷ויאכלו מזונם בגילה ובתם לבב וישבחו את האלהים וימצאו חן בעיני כל העם והאדון הוסיף יום יום על העדה את הנושעים׃
