¹The priests the Levites, [even] all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, and his inheritance.

¹Les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, la tribu entière de Lévi, n'auront ni part ni héritage avec Israël; ils se nourriront des sacrifices consumés par le feu en l'honneur de l'Eternel et de l'héritage de l'Eternel.

¹לא יהיה לכהנים הלוים כל שבט לוי חלק ונחלה עם ישראל אשי יהוה ונחלתו יאכלון׃

²And they shall have no inheritance among their brethren: Jehovah is their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.

²Ils n'auront point d'héritage au milieu de leurs frères: l'Eternel sera leur héritage, comme il le leur a dit.

²ונחלה לא יהיה לו בקרב אחיו יהוה הוא נחלתו כאשר דבר לו׃

³And this shall be the priests' due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

³Voici quel sera le droit des sacrificateurs sur le peuple, sur ceux qui offriront un sacrifice, un boeuf ou un agneau: on donnera au sacrificateur l'épaule, les mâchoires et l'estomac.

³וזה יהיה משפט הכהנים מאת העם מאת זבחי הזבח אם שור אם שה ונתן לכהן הזרע והלחיים והקבה׃

⁴The first-fruits of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

⁴Tu lui donneras les prémices de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile, et les prémices de la toison de tes brebis;

⁴ראשית דגנך תירשך ויצהרך וראשית גז צאנך תתן לו׃

⁵For Jehovah thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of Jehovah, him and his sons for ever.

⁵car c'est lui que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, a choisi entre toutes les tribus, pour qu'il fasse le service au nom de l'Eternel, lui et ses fils, à toujours.

⁵כי בו בחר יהוה אלהיך מכל שבטיך לעמד לשרת בשם יהוה הוא ובניו כל הימים׃

⁶And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourneth, and come with all the desire of his soul unto the place which Jehovah shall choose;

⁶Lorsque le Lévite quittera l'une de tes portes, le lieu quelconque où il demeure en Israël, pour se rendre, selon la plénitude de son désir, au lieu que choisira l'Eternel,

⁶וכי יבא הלוי מאחד שעריך מכל ישראל אשר הוא גר שם ובא בכל אות נפשו אל המקום אשר יבחר יהוה׃

⁷then he shall minister in the name of Jehovah his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, who stand there before Jehovah.

⁷et qu'il fera le service au nom de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, comme tous ses frères les Lévites qui se tiennent là devant l'Eternel,

⁷ושרת בשם יהוה אלהיו ככל אחיו הלוים העמדים שם לפני יהוה׃

⁸They shall have like portions to eat, besides that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

⁸il recevra pour sa nourriture une portion égale à la leur, et jouira, en outre, des revenus de la vente de son patrimoine.

⁸חלק כחלק יאכלו לבד ממכריו על האבות׃

⁹When thou art come into the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

⁹Lorsque tu seras entré dans le pays que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, te donne, tu n'apprendras point à imiter les abominations de ces nations-là.

⁹כי אתה בא אל הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לא תלמד לעשות כתועבת הגוים ההם׃

¹⁰There shall not be found with thee any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, one that practiseth augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

¹⁰Qu'on ne trouve chez toi personne qui fasse passer son fils ou sa fille par le feu, personne qui exerce le métier de devin, d'astrologue, d'augure, de magicien,

¹⁰לא ימצא בך מעביר בנו ובתו באש קסם קסמים מעונן ומנחש ומכשף׃

¹¹or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

¹¹d'enchanteur, personne qui consulte ceux qui évoquent les esprits ou disent la bonne aventure, personne qui interroge les morts.

¹¹וחבר חבר ושאל אוב וידעני ודרש אל המתים׃

¹²For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto Jehovah: and because of these abominations Jehovah thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

¹²Car quiconque fait ces choses est en abomination à l'Eternel; et c'est à cause de ces abominations que l'Eternel, ton Dieu, va chasser ces nations devant toi.

¹²כי תועבת יהוה כל עשה אלה ובגלל התועבת האלה יהוה אלהיך מוריש אותם מפניך׃

¹³Thou shalt be perfect with Jehovah thy God.

¹³Tu seras entièrement à l'Eternel, ton Dieu.

¹³תמים תהיה עם יהוה אלהיך׃

¹⁴For these nations, that thou shalt dispossess, hearken unto them that practise augury, and unto diviners; but as for thee, Jehovah thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

¹⁴Car ces nations que tu chasseras écoutent les astrologues et les devins; mais à toi, l'Eternel, ton Dieu, ne le permet pas.

¹⁴כי הגוים האלה אשר אתה יורש אותם אל מעננים ואל קסמים ישמעו ואתה לא כן נתן לך יהוה אלהיך׃

¹⁵Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

¹⁵L'Eternel, ton Dieu, te suscitera du milieu de toi, d'entre tes frères, un prophète comme moi: vous l'écouterez!

¹⁵נביא מקרבך מאחיך כמני יקים לך יהוה אלהיך אליו תשמעון׃

¹⁶according to all that thou desiredst of Jehovah thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

¹⁶Il répondra ainsi à la demande que tu fis à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, à Horeb, le jour de l'assemblée, quand tu disais: Que je n'entende plus la voix de l'Eternel, mon Dieu, et que je ne voie plus ce grand feu, afin de ne pas mourir.

¹⁶ככל אשר שאלת מעם יהוה אלהיך בחרב ביום הקהל לאמר לא אסף לשמע את קול יהוה אלהי ואת האש הגדלה הזאת לא אראה עוד ולא אמות׃

¹⁷And Jehovah said unto me, They have well said that which they have spoken.

¹⁷L'Eternel me dit: Ce qu'ils ont dit est bien.

¹⁷ויאמר יהוה אלי היטיבו אשר דברו׃

¹⁸I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

¹⁸Je leur susciterai du milieu de leurs frères un prophète comme toi, je mettrai mes paroles dans sa bouche, et il leur dira tout ce que je lui commanderai.

¹⁸נביא אקים להם מקרב אחיהם כמוך ונתתי דברי בפיו ודבר אליהם את כל אשר אצונו׃

¹⁹And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

¹⁹Et si quelqu'un n'écoute pas mes paroles qu'il dira en mon nom, c'est moi qui lui en demanderai compte.

¹⁹והיה האיש אשר לא ישמע אל דברי אשר ידבר בשמי אנכי אדרש מעמו׃

²⁰But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

²⁰Mais le prophète qui aura l'audace de dire en mon nom une parole que je ne lui aurai point commandé de dire, ou qui parlera au nom d'autres dieux, ce prophète-là sera puni de mort.

²⁰אך הנביא אשר יזיד לדבר דבר בשמי את אשר לא צויתיו לדבר ואשר ידבר בשם אלהים אחרים ומת הנביא ההוא׃

²¹And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken?

²¹Peut-être diras-tu dans ton coeur: Comment connaîtrons-nous la parole que l'Eternel n'aura point dite?

²¹וכי תאמר בלבבך איכה נדע את הדבר אשר לא דברו יהוה׃

²²when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him.

²²Quand ce que dira le prophète n'aura pas lieu et n'arrivera pas, ce sera une parole que l'Eternel n'aura point dite. C'est par audace que le prophète l'aura dite: n'aie pas peur de lui. Deutéronome

²²אשר ידבר הנביא בשם יהוה ולא יהיה הדבר ולא יבוא הוא הדבר אשר לא דברו יהוה בזדון דברו הנביא לא תגור ממנו׃
