¹For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,--

¹A cause de cela, moi Paul, le prisonnier de Christ pour vous païens...

¹בעבור זאת אני פולוס אסיר המשיח למענכם הגוים׃

²if so be that ye have heard of the dispensation of that grace of God which was given me to you-ward;

²si du moins vous avez appris quelle est la dispensation de la grâce de Dieu, qui m'a été donnée pour vous.

²כי אמנם שמעתם הנהגת חסד האלהים אשר נתן לי אליכם׃

³how that by revelation was made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words,

³C'est par révélation que j'ai eu connaissance du mystère sur lequel je viens d'écrire en peu de mots.

³כי בחזון גלה לי הסוד אשר למעלה כתבתי לכם במעט׃

⁴whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;

⁴En les lisant, vous pouvez vous représenter l'intelligence que j'ai du mystère de Christ.

⁴ובקראכם תוכלו להכיר בזאת את בינתי בסוד המשיח׃

⁵which in other generation was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

⁵Il n'a pas été manifesté aux fils des hommes dans les autres générations, comme il a été révélé maintenant par l'Esprit aux saints apôtres et prophètes de Christ.

⁵אשר בדורת הראשנים לא נודע לבני אדם כאשר נגלה עתה לשליחיו הקדשים ולנביאיו ברוח׃

⁶[to wit], that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,

⁶Ce mystère, c'est que les païens sont cohéritiers, forment un même corps, et participent à la même promesse en Jésus-Christ par l'Evangile,

⁶להיות הגוים גם הם בני ירשתו וגוף אחד אתו וחברי הבטחתו במשיח על ידי הבשרה׃

⁷whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

⁷dont j'ai été fait ministre selon le don de la grâce de Dieu, qui m'a été accordée par l'efficacité de sa puissance.

⁷אשר הייתי לה למשרת במתנת חסד אלהים הנתונה לי כפי פעלת גבורתו׃

⁸Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

⁸A moi, qui suis le moindre de tous les saints, cette grâce a été accordée d'annoncer aux païens les richesses incompréhensibles de Christ,

⁸לי צעיר הצעירים שבכל הקדשים נתן החסד הזה לבשר בגוים את עשר המשיח אשר לא יחקר׃

⁹and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;

⁹et de mettre en lumière quelle est la dispensation du mystère caché de tout temps en Dieu qui a créé toutes choses,

⁹ולהאיר עיני כל מה היא הנהגת הסוד הנסתר מדרת עולם באלהים יוצר הכל על ידי ישוע המשיח׃

¹⁰to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly [places] might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹⁰afin que les dominations et les autorités dans les lieux célestes connaissent aujourd'hui par l'Eglise la sagesse infiniment variée de Dieu,

¹⁰למען אשר תודע עתה על ידי העדה לשרים לשליטים אשר במרומים חכמת אלהים המפליאה דתכיה׃

¹¹according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

¹¹selon le dessein éternel qu'il a mis à exécution par Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur,

¹¹על פי עצת עולמים אשר יעץ במשיח ישוע אדנינו׃

¹²in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

¹²en qui nous avons, par la foi en lui, la liberté de nous approcher de Dieu avec confiance.

¹²אשר פתחון פינו ממנו וקרבתנו בבטחה על יד אמונתו׃

¹³Wherefore I ask that ye may not faint at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

¹³Aussi je vous demande de ne pas perdre courage à cause de mes tribulations pour vous: elles sont votre gloire.

¹³בעבור זאת אבקש שלא תחתו בצרותי למענכם יען כי היא תפארתכם׃

¹⁴For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father,

¹⁴A cause de cela, je fléchis les genoux devant le Père,

¹⁴על כן אכרעה על ברכי לאבי אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃

¹⁵from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

¹⁵duquel tire son nom toute famille dans les cieux et sur la terre,

¹⁵אשר נקרא על שמו כל בית אבות שבשמים ושבארץ׃

¹⁶that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

¹⁶afin qu'il vous donne, selon la richesse de sa gloire, d'être puissamment fortifiés par son Esprit dans l'homme intérieur,

¹⁶לתת לכם לפי עשר כבודו להתחזק בגבורה על ידי רוחו לאדם הפנימי׃

¹⁷that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁷en sorte que Christ habite dans vos coeurs par la foi; afin qu'étant enracinés et fondés dans l'amour,

¹⁷שישכן המשיח בלבבכם באמונה והייתם משרשים ומיסדים באהבה׃

¹⁸may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

¹⁸vous puissiez comprendre avec tous les saints quelle est la largeur, la longueur, la profondeur et la hauteur,

¹⁸למען תוכלו להשיג עם כל הקדשים מה הוא הרחב והארך והעמק והגבה׃

¹⁹and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

¹⁹et connaître l'amour de Christ, qui surpasse toute connaissance, en sorte que vous soyez remplis jusqu'à toute la plénitude de Dieu.

¹⁹וידעתם את אהבת המשיח הנעלה על כל דעת ונמלאתם את כל מלוא האלהים׃

²⁰Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

²⁰Or, à celui qui peut faire, par la puissance qui agit en nous, infiniment au delà de tout ce que nous demandons ou pensons,

²⁰ולו אשר יכל להרבות גמוליו עלינו יותר מכל משאלותינו ומחשבותינו לפי הכח הפעל בקרבנו׃

²¹unto him [be] the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations for ever and ever. Amen.

²¹lui soit la gloire dans l'Eglise et en Jésus-Christ, dans toutes les générations, aux siècles des siècles! Amen!

²¹לו הכבוד בקרב הקהל במשיח ישוע לדר ודר עד עולמי עולמים אמן׃
