2And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
2Tous les faits concernant sa puissance et ses exploits, et les détails sur la grandeur à laquelle le roi éleva Mardochée, ne sont-ils pas écrits dans le livre des Chroniques des rois des Mèdes et des Perses?
2וכל מעשה תקפו וגבורתו ופרשת גדלת מרדכי אשר גדלו המלך הלוא הם כתובים על ספר דברי הימים למלכי מדי ופרס׃
3For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
3Car le Juif Mardochée était le premier après le roi Assuérus; considéré parmi les Juifs et aimé de la multitude de ses frères, il rechercha le bien de son peuple et parla pour le bonheur de toute sa race.
3כי מרדכי היהודי משנה למלך אחשורוש וגדול ליהודים ורצוי לרב אחיו דרש טוב לעמו ודבר שלום לכל זרעו׃
