1Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto Jehovah, and spake, saying, I will sing unto Jehovah, for he hath triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
1Alors Moïse et les enfants d'Israël chantèrent ce cantique à l'Eternel. Ils dirent: Je chanterai à l'Eternel, car il a fait éclater sa gloire; Il a précipité dans la mer le cheval et son cavalier.
1אז ישיר משה ובני ישראל את השירה הזאת ליהוה ויאמרו לאמר אשירה ליהוה כי גאה גאה סוס ורכבו רמה בים׃
2Jehovah is my strength and song, And he is become my salvation: This is my God, and I will praise him; My father's God, and I will exalt him.
2L'Eternel est ma force et le sujet de mes louanges; C'est lui qui m'a sauvé. Il est mon Dieu: je le célèbrerai; Il est le Dieu de mon père: je l'exalterai.
2עזי וזמרת יה ויהי לי לישועה זה אלי ואנוהו אלהי אבי וארממנהו׃
3Jehovah is a man of war: Jehovah is his name.
3L'Eternel est un vaillant guerrier; L'Eternel est son nom.
3יהוה איש מלחמה יהוה שמו׃
4Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea; And his chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea.
4Il a lancé dans la mer les chars de Pharaon et son armée; Ses combattants d'élite ont été engloutis dans la mer Rouge.
4מרכבת פרעה וחילו ירה בים ומבחר שלשיו טבעו בים סוף׃
5The deeps cover them: They went down into the depths like a stone.
5Les flots les ont couverts: Ils sont descendus au fond des eaux, comme une pierre.
5תהמת יכסימו ירדו במצולת כמו אבן׃
6Thy right hand, O Jehovah, is glorious in power, Thy right hand, O Jehovah, dasheth in pieces the enemy.
6Ta droite, ô Eternel! a signalé sa force; Ta droite, ô Eternel! a écrasé l'ennemi.
6ימינך יהוה נאדרי בכח ימינך יהוה תרעץ אויב׃
7And in the greatness of thine excellency thou overthrowest them that rise up against thee: Thou sendest forth thy wrath, it consumeth them as stubble.
7Par la grandeur de ta majesté Tu renverses tes adversaires; Tu déchaînes ta colère: Elle les consume comme du chaume.
7וברב גאונך תהרס קמיך תשלח חרנך יאכלמו כקש׃
8And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were piled up, The floods stood upright as a heap; The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.
8Au souffle de tes narines, les eaux se sont amoncelées, Les courants se sont dressés comme une muraille, Les flots se sont durcis au milieu de la mer.
8וברוח אפיך נערמו מים נצבו כמו נד נזלים קפאו תהמת בלב ים׃
9The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
9L'ennemi disait: Je poursuivrai, j'atteindrai, Je partagerai le butin; Ma vengeance sera assouvie, Je tirerai l'épée, ma main les détruira.
9אמר אויב ארדף אשיג אחלק שלל תמלאמו נפשי אריק חרבי תורישמו ידי׃
10Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: They sank as lead in the mighty waters.
10Tu as soufflé de ton haleine: La mer les a couverts; Ils se sont enfoncés comme du plomb, Dans la profondeur des eaux.
10נשפת ברוחך כסמו ים צללו כעופרת במים אדירים׃
11Who is like unto thee, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
11Qui est comme toi parmi les dieux, ô Eternel? Qui est comme toi magnifique en sainteté, Digne de louanges, Opérant des prodiges?
11מי כמכה באלם יהוה מי כמכה נאדר בקדש נורא תהלת עשה פלא׃
12Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, The earth swallowed them.
12Tu as étendu ta droite: La terre les a engloutis.
12נטית ימינך תבלעמו ארץ׃
13Thou in thy lovingkindness hast led the people that thou hast redeemed: Thou hast guided them in thy strength to thy holy habitation.
13Par ta miséricorde tu as conduit, Tu as délivré ce peuple; Par ta puissance tu le diriges Vers la demeure de ta sainteté.
13נחית בחסדך עם זו גאלת נהלת בעזך אל נוה קדשך׃
14The peoples have heard, they tremble: Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.
14Les peuples l'apprennent, et ils tremblent: La terreur s'empare des Philistins;
14שמעו עמים ירגזון חיל אחז ישבי פלשת׃
15Then were the chiefs of Edom dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, trembling taketh hold upon them: All the inhabitants of Canaan are melted away.
15Les chefs d'Edom s'épouvantent; Un tremblement saisit les guerriers de Moab; Tous les habitants de Canaan tombent en défaillance.
15אז נבהלו אלופי אדום אילי מואב יאחזמו רעד נמגו כל ישבי כנען׃
16Terror and dread falleth upon them; By the greatness of thine arm they are as still as a stone; Till thy people pass over, O Jehovah, Till the people pass over that thou hast purchased.
16La crainte et la frayeur les surprendront; Par la grandeur de ton bras Ils deviendront muets comme une pierre, Jusqu'à ce que ton peuple soit passé, ô Eternel! Jusqu'à ce qu'il soit passé, Le peuple que tu as acquis.
16תפל עליהם אימתה ופחד בגדל זרועך ידמו כאבן עד יעבר עמך יהוה עד יעבר עם זו קנית׃
17Thou wilt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, The place, O Jehovah, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, The sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
17Tu les amèneras et tu les établiras sur la montagne de ton héritage, Au lieu que tu as préparé pour ta demeure, ô Eternel! Au sanctuaire, Seigneur! que tes mains ont fondé.
17תבאמו ותטעמו בהר נחלתך מכון לשבתך פעלת יהוה מקדש אדני כוננו ידיך׃
18Jehovah shall reign for ever and ever.
18L'Eternel régnera éternellement et à toujours.
18יהוה ימלך לעלם ועד׃
19For the horses of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Jehovah brought back the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea.
19Car les chevaux de Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers sont entrés dans la mer, Et l'Eternel a ramené sur eux les eaux de la mer; Mais les enfants d'Israël ont marché à sec au milieu de la mer.
19כי בא סוס פרעה ברכבו ובפרשיו בים וישב יהוה עלהם את מי הים ובני ישראל הלכו ביבשה בתוך הים׃
20And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
20Marie, la prophétesse, soeur d'Aaron, prit à sa main un tambourin, et toutes les femmes vinrent après elle, avec des tambourins et en dansant.
20ותקח מרים הנביאה אחות אהרן את התף בידה ותצאן כל הנשים אחריה בתפים ובמחלת׃
21And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to Jehovah, for he hath triumphed gloriously; The horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
21Marie répondait aux enfants d'Israël: Chantez à l'Eternel, car il a fait éclater sa gloire; Il a précipité dans la mer le cheval et son cavalier.
21ותען להם מרים שירו ליהוה כי גאה גאה סוס ורכבו רמה בים׃
22And Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
22Moïse fit partir Israël de la mer Rouge. Ils prirent la direction du désert de Schur; et, après trois journées de marche dans le désert, ils ne trouvèrent point d'eau.
22ויסע משה את ישראל מים סוף ויצאו אל מדבר שור וילכו שלשת ימים במדבר ולא מצאו מים׃
23And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
23Ils arrivèrent à Mara; mais ils ne purent pas boire l'eau de Mara parce qu'elle était amère. C'est pourquoi ce lieu fut appelé Mara.
23ויבאו מרתה ולא יכלו לשתת מים ממרה כי מרים הם על כן קרא שמה מרה׃
24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
24Le peuple murmura contre Moïse, en disant: Que boirons-nous?
24וילנו העם על משה לאמר מה נשתה׃
25An he cried unto Jehovah; And Jehovah showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them;
25Moïse cria à l'Eternel; et l'Eternel lui indiqua un bois, qu'il jeta dans l'eau. Et l'eau devint douce. Ce fut là que l'Eternel donna au peuple des lois et des ordonnances, et ce fut là qu'il le mit à l'épreuve.
25ויצעק אל יהוה ויורהו יהוה עץ וישלך אל המים וימתקו המים שם שם לו חק ומשפט ושם נסהו׃
26and he said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his eyes, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians: for I am Jehovah that healeth thee.
26Il dit: Si tu écoutes attentivement la voix de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, si tu fais ce qui est droit à ses yeux, si tu prêtes l'oreille à ses commandements, et si tu observes toutes ses lois, je ne te frapperai d'aucune des maladies dont j'ai frappé les Egyptiens; car je suis l'Eternel, qui te guérit.
26ויאמר אם שמוע תשמע לקול יהוה אלהיך והישר בעיניו תעשה והאזנת למצותיו ושמרת כל חקיו כל המחלה אשר שמתי במצרים לא אשים עליך כי אני יהוה רפאך׃
27And they came to Elim, where were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
27Ils arrivèrent à Elim, où il y avait douze sources d'eau et soixante-dix palmiers. Ils campèrent là, près de l'eau.
27ויבאו אילמה ושם שתים עשרה עינת מים ושבעים תמרים ויחנו שם על המים׃
