1Moreover the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of Jehovah's house, which looketh eastward: and behold, at the door of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
1L'esprit m'enleva, et me transporta à la porte orientale de la maison de l'Eternel, à celle qui regarde l'orient. Et voici, à l'entrée de la porte, il y avait vingt-cinq hommes; et je vis au milieu d'eux Jaazania, fils d'Azzur, et Pelathia, fils de Benaja, chefs du peuple.
1ותשא אתי רוח ותבא אתי אל שער בית יהוה הקדמוני הפונה קדימה והנה בפתח השער עשרים וחמשה איש ואראה בתוכם את יאזניה בן עזר ואת פלטיהו בן בניהו שרי העם׃
2And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and that give wicked counsel in this city;
2Et l'Eternel me dit: Fils de l'homme, ce sont les hommes qui méditent l'iniquité, et qui donnent de mauvais conseils dans cette ville.
2ויאמר אלי בן אדם אלה האנשים החשבים און והיעצים עצת רע בעיר הזאת׃
3that say, [The time] is not near to build houses: this [city] is the caldron, and we are the flesh.
3Ils disent: Ce n'est pas le moment! Bâtissons des maisons! La ville est la chaudière, et nous sommes la viande.
3האמרים לא בקרוב בנות בתים היא הסיר ואנחנו הבשר׃
4Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.
4C'est pourquoi prophétise contre eux, prophétise, fils de l'homme!
4לכן הנבא עליהם הנבא בן אדם׃
5And the Spirit of Jehovah fell upon me, and he said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.
5Alors l'esprit de l'Eternel tomba sur moi. Et il me dit: Dis: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Vous parlez de la sorte, maison d'Israël! Et ce qui vous monte à la pensée, je le sais.
5ותפל עלי רוח יהוה ויאמר אלי אמר כה אמר יהוה כן אמרתם בית ישראל ומעלות רוחכם אני ידעתיה׃
6Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.
6Vous avez multiplié les meurtres dans cette ville, Vous avez rempli les rues de cadavres.
6הרביתם חלליכם בעיר הזאת ומלאתם חוצתיה חלל׃
7Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this [city] is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.
7C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Vos morts que vous avez étendus au milieu d'elle, C'est la viande, et elle, c'est la chaudière; Mais vous, on vous en fera sortir.
7לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה חלליכם אשר שמתם בתוכה המה הבשר והיא הסיר ואתכם הוציא מתוכה׃
8Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword upon you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
8Vous avez peur de l'épée, Et je ferai venir sur vous l'épée, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.
8חרב יראתם וחרב אביא עליכם נאם אדני יהוה׃
9And I will bring you forth out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
9Je vous ferai sortir du milieu d'elle, Je vous livrerai entre les mains des étrangers, Et j'exercerai contre vous mes jugements.
9והוצאתי אתכם מתוכה ונתתי אתכם ביד זרים ועשיתי בכם שפטים׃
10Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
10Vous tomberez par l'épée, Je vous jugerai sur la frontière d'Israël, Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
10בחרב תפלו על גבול ישראל אשפוט אתכם וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃
11This [city] shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; I will judge you in the border of Israel;
11La ville ne sera pas pour vous une chaudière, Et vous ne serez pas la viande au milieu d'elle: C'est sur la frontière d'Israël que je vous jugerai.
11היא לא תהיה לכם לסיר ואתם תהיו בתוכה לבשר אל גבול ישראל אשפט אתכם׃
12and ye shall know that I am Jehovah: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither have ye executed mine ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.
12Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel, Dont vous n'avez pas suivi les ordonnances Et pratiqué les lois; Mais vous avez agi selon les lois des nations qui vous entourent.
12וידעתם כי אני יהוה אשר בחקי לא הלכתם ומשפטי לא עשיתם וכמשפטי הגוים אשר סביבותיכם עשיתם׃
13And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Jehovah! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
13Comme je prophétisais, Pelathia, fils de Benaja, mourut. Je tombai sur ma face, et je m'écriai à haute voix: Ah! Seigneur Eternel, anéantiras-tu ce qui reste d'Israël?
13ויהי כהנבאי ופלטיהו בן בניה מת ואפל על פני ואזעק קול גדול ואמר אהה אדני יהוה כלה אתה עשה את שארית ישראל׃
14And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
14Et la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
14ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃
15Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them, [are they] unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from Jehovah; unto us is this land given for a possession.
15Fils de l'homme, ce sont tes frères, tes frères, Ceux de ta parenté, et la maison d'Israël tout entière, A qui les habitants de Jérusalem disent: Restez loin de l'Eternel, Le pays nous a été donné en propriété.
15בן אדם אחיך אחיך אנשי גאלתך וכל בית ישראל כלה אשר אמרו להם ישבי ירושלם רחקו מעל יהוה לנו היא נתנה הארץ למורשה׃
16Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.
16C'est pourquoi tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Si je les tiens éloignés parmi les nations, Si je les ai dispersés en divers pays, Je serai pour eux quelque temps un asile Dans les pays où ils sont venus.
16לכן אמר כה אמר אדני יהוה כי הרחקתים בגוים וכי הפיצותים בארצות ואהי להם למקדש מעט בארצות אשר באו שם׃
17Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
17C'est pourquoi tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Je vous rassemblerai du milieu des peuples, Je vous recueillerai des pays où vous êtes dispersés, Et je vous donnerai la terre d'Israël.
17לכן אמר כה אמר אדני יהוה וקבצתי אתכם מן העמים ואספתי אתכם מן הארצות אשר נפצותם בהם ונתתי לכם את אדמת ישראל׃
18And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
18C'est là qu'ils iront, Et ils en ôteront toutes les idoles et toutes les abominations.
18ובאו שמה והסירו את כל שקוציה ואת כל תועבתיה ממנה׃
19And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
19Je leur donnerai un même coeur, Et je mettrai en vous un esprit nouveau; J'ôterai de leur corps le coeur de pierre, Et je leur donnerai un coeur de chair,
19וננתי להם לב אחד ורוח חדשה אתן בקרבכם והסרתי לב האבן מבשרם ונתתי להם לב בשר׃
20that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
20Afin qu'ils suivent mes ordonnances, Et qu'ils observent et pratiquent mes lois; Et ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.
20למען בחקתי ילכו ואת משפטי ישמרו ועשו אתם והיו לי לעם ואני אהיה להם לאלהים׃
21But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
21Mais pour ceux dont le coeur se plaît à leurs idoles et à leurs abominations, Je ferai retomber leurs oeuvres sur leur tête, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.
21ואל לב שקוציהם ותועבותיהם לבם הלך דרכם בראשם נתתי נאם אדני יהוה׃
22Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
22Les chérubins déployèrent leurs ailes, accompagnés des roues; et la gloire du Dieu d'Israël était sur eux, en haut.
22וישאו הכרובים את כנפיהם והאופנים לעמתם וכבוד אלהי ישראל עליהם מלמעלה׃
23And the glory of Jehovah went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
23La gloire de l'Eternel s'éleva du milieu de la ville, et elle se plaça sur la montagne qui est à l'orient de la ville.
23ויעל כבוד יהוה מעל תוך העיר ויעמד על ההר אשר מקדם לעיר׃
24And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
24L'esprit m'enleva, et me transporta en Chaldée auprès des captifs, en vision par l'esprit de Dieu; et la vision que j'avais eue disparut au-dessus de moi.
24ורוח נשאתני ותבאני כשדימה אל הגולה במראה ברוח אלהים ויעל מעלי המראה אשר ראיתי׃
25Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the things that Jehovah had showed me.
25Je dis aux captifs toutes les paroles de l'Eternel, qu'il m'avait révélées.
25ואדבר אל הגולה את כל דברי יהוה אשר הראני׃
