¹The word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying,

¹La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

¹ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

²Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art man, and not God, though thou didst set thy heart as the heart of God;-

²Fils de l'homme, dis au prince de Tyr: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Ton coeur s'est élevé, et tu as dit: Je suis Dieu, Je suis assis sur le siège de Dieu, au sein des mers! Toi, tu es homme et non Dieu, Et tu prends ta volonté pour la volonté de Dieu.

²בן אדם אמר לנגיד צר כה אמר אדני יהוה יען גבה לבך ותאמר אל אני מושב אלהים ישבתי בלב ימים ואתה אדם ולא אל ותתן לבך כלב אלהים׃

³behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that is hidden from thee;

³Voici, tu es plus sage que Daniel, Rien de secret n'est caché pour toi;

³הנה חכם אתה מדנאל כל סתום לא עממוך׃

⁴by thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures;

⁴Par ta sagesse et par ton intelligence Tu t'es acquis des richesses, Tu as amassé de l'or et de l'argent Dans tes trésors;

⁴בחכמתך ובתבונתך עשית לך חיל ותעש זהב וכסף באוצרותיך׃

⁵by thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches;-

⁵Par ta grande sagesse et par ton commerce Tu as accru tes richesses, Et par tes richesses ton coeur s'est élevé.

⁵ברב חכמתך ברכלתך הרבית חילך ויגבה לבבך בחילך׃

⁶therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God,

⁶C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Parce que tu prends ta volonté pour la volonté de Dieu,

⁶לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען תתך את לבבך כלב אלהים׃

⁷therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

⁷Voici, je ferai venir contre toi des étrangers, Les plus violents d'entre les peuples; Ils tireront l'épée contre ton éclatante sagesse, Et ils souilleront ta beauté.

⁷לכן הנני מביא עליך זרים עריצי גוים והריקו חרבותם על יפי חכמתך וחללו יפעתך׃

⁸They shall bring thee down to the pit; and thou shalt die the death of them that are slain, in the heart of the seas.

⁸Ils te précipiteront dans la fosse, Et tu mourras comme ceux qui tombent percés de coups, Au milieu des mers.

⁸לשחת יורדוך ומתה ממותי חלל בלב ימים׃

⁹Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou art man, and not God, in the hand of him that woundeth thee.

⁹En face de ton meurtrier, diras-tu: Je suis Dieu? Tu seras homme et non Dieu Sous la main de celui qui te tuera.

⁹האמר תאמר אלהים אני לפני הרגך ואתה אדם ולא אל ביד מחלליך׃

¹⁰Thou shalt die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁰Tu mourras de la mort des incirconcis, Par la main des étrangers. Car moi, j'ai parlé, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.

¹⁰מותי ערלים תמות ביד זרים כי אני דברתי נאם אדני יהוה׃

¹¹Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹¹La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

¹¹ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

¹²Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

¹²Fils de l'homme, Prononce une complainte sur le roi de Tyr! Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Tu mettais le sceau à la perfection, Tu étais plein de sagesse, parfait en beauté.

¹²בן אדם שא קינה על מלך צור ואמרת לו כה אמר אדני יהוה אתה חותם תכנית מלא חכמה וכליל יפי׃

¹³Thou wast in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was in thee; in the day that thou wast created they were prepared.

¹³Tu étais en Eden, le jardin de Dieu; Tu étais couvert de toute espèce de pierres précieuses, De sardoine, de topaze, de diamant, De chrysolithe, d'onyx, de jaspe, De saphir, d'escarboucle, d'émeraude, et d'or; Tes tambourins et tes flûtes étaient à ton service, Préparés pour le jour où tu fus créé.

¹³בעדן גן אלהים היית כל אבן יקרה מסכתך אדם פטדה ויהלם תרשיש שהם וישפה ספיר נפך וברקת וזהב מלאכת תפיך ונקביך בך ביום הבראך כוננו׃

¹⁴Thou wast the anointed cherub that covereth: and I set thee, [so that] thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁴Tu étais un chérubin protecteur, aux ailes déployées; Je t'avais placé et tu étais sur la sainte montagne de Dieu; Tu marchais au milieu des pierres étincelantes.

¹⁴את כרוב ממשח הסוכך ונתתיך בהר קדש אלהים היית בתוך אבני אש התהלכת׃

¹⁵Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.

¹⁵Tu as été intègre dans tes voies, Depuis le jour où tu fus créé Jusqu'à celui où l'iniquité a été trouvée chez toi.

¹⁵תמים אתה בדרכיך מיום הבראך עד נמצא עולתה בך׃

¹⁶By the abundance of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore have I cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God; and I have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

¹⁶Par la grandeur de ton commerce Tu as été rempli de violence, et tu as péché; Je te précipite de la montagne de Dieu, Et je te fais disparaître, chérubin protecteur, Du milieu des pierres étincelantes.

¹⁶ברב רכלתך מלו תוכך חמס ותחטא ואחללך מהר אלהים ואבדך כרוב הסכך מתוך אבני אש׃

¹⁷Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I have cast thee to the ground; I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

¹⁷Ton coeur s'est élevé à cause de ta beauté, Tu as corrompu ta sagesse par ton éclat; Je te jette par terre, Je te livre en spectacle aux rois.

¹⁷גבה לבך ביפיך שחת חכמתך על יפעתך על ארץ השלכתיך לפני מלכים נתתיך לראוה בך׃

¹⁸By the multitude of thine iniquities, in the unrighteousness of thy traffic, thou hast profaned thy sanctuaries; therefore have I brought forth a fire from the midst of thee; it hath devoured thee, and I have turned thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

¹⁸Par la multitude de tes iniquités, Par l'injustice de ton commerce, Tu as profané tes sanctuaires; Je fais sortir du milieu de toi un feu qui te dévore, Je te réduis en cendre sur la terre, Aux yeux de tous ceux qui te regardent.

¹⁸מרב עוניך בעול רכלתך חללת מקדשיך ואוצא אש מתוכך היא אכלתך ואתנך לאפר על הארץ לעיני כל ראיך׃

¹⁹All they that know thee among the peoples shall be astonished at thee: thou art become a terror, and thou shalt nevermore have any being.

¹⁹Tous ceux qui te connaissent parmi les peuples Sont dans la stupeur à cause de toi; Tu es réduit au néant, tu ne seras plus à jamais!

¹⁹כל יודעיך בעמים שממו עליך בלהות היית ואינך עד עולם׃

²⁰And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

²⁰La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

²⁰ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

²¹Son of man, set thy face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,

²¹Fils de l'homme, tourne ta face vers Sidon, Et prophétise contre elle!

²¹בן אדם שים פניך אל צידון והנבא עליה׃

²²and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Sidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.

²²Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, j'en veux à toi, Sidon! Je serai glorifié au milieu de toi; Et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel, Quand j'exercerai mes jugements contre elle, Quand je manifesterai ma sainteté au milieu d'elle.

²²ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני עליך צידון ונכבדתי בתוכך וידעו כי אני יהוה בעשותי בה שפטים ונקדשתי בה׃

²³For I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her, with the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

²³J'enverrai la peste dans son sein, Je ferai couler le sang dans ses rues; Les morts tomberont au milieu d'elle Par l'épée qui de toutes parts viendra la frapper. Et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel.

²³ושלחתי בה דבר ודם בחוצותיה ונפלל חלל בתוכה בחרב עליה מסביב וידעו כי אני יהוה׃

²⁴And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any that are round about them, that did despite unto them; and they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

²⁴Alors elle ne sera plus pour la maison d'Israël Une épine qui blesse, une ronce déchirante, Parmi tous ceux qui l'entourent et qui la méprisent. Et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur, l'Eternel.

²⁴ולא יהיה עוד לבית ישראל סלון ממאיר וקוץ מכאב מכל סביבתם השאטים אותם וידעו כי אני אדני יהוה׃

²⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob.

²⁵Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Lorsque je rassemblerai la maison d'Israël du milieu des peuples où elle est dispersée, je manifesterai en elle ma sainteté aux yeux des nations, et ils habiteront leur pays que j'ai donné à mon serviteur Jacob.

²⁵כה אמר אדני יהוה בקבצי את בית ישראל מן העמים אשר נפצו בם ונקדשתי בם לעיני הגוים וישבו על אדמתם אשר נתתי לעבדי ליעקב׃

²⁶And they shall dwell securely therein; yea, they shall build houses, and plant vineyards, and shall dwell securely, when I have executed judgments upon all those that do them despite round about them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah their God.

²⁶Ils y habiteront en sécurité, et ils bâtiront des maisons et planteront des vignes; ils y habiteront en sécurité, quand j'exercerai mes jugements contre tous ceux qui les entourent et qui les méprisent. Et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel, leur Dieu.

²⁶וישבו עליה לבטח ובנו בתים ונטעו כרמים וישבו לבטח בעשותי שפטים בכל השאטים אתם מסביבותם וידעו כי אני יהוה אלהיהם׃
