¹Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying,

¹La première année de Cyrus, roi de Perse, afin que s'accomplît la parole de l'Eternel prononcée par la bouche de Jérémie, l'Eternel réveilla l'esprit de Cyrus, roi de Perse, qui fit faire de vive voix et par écrit cette publication dans tout son royaume:

¹ובשנת אחת לכורש מלך פרס לכלות דבר יהוה מפי ירמיה העיר יהוה את רוח כרש מלך פרס ויעבר קול בכל מלכותו וגם במכתב לאמר׃

²Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath Jehovah, the God of heaven, given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

²Ainsi parle Cyrus, roi des Perses: L'Eternel, le Dieu des cieux, m'a donné tous les royaumes de la terre, et il m'a commandé de lui bâtir une maison à Jérusalem en Juda.

²כה אמר כרש מלך פרס כל ממלכות הארץ נתן לי יהוה אלהי השמים והוא פקד עלי לבנות לו בית בירושלם אשר ביהודה׃

³Whosoever there is among you of all his people, his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.

³Qui d'entre vous est de son peuple? Que son Dieu soit avec lui, et qu'il monte à Jérusalem en Juda et bâtisse la maison de l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël! C'est le Dieu qui est à Jérusalem.

³מי בכם מכל עמו יהי אלהיו עמו ויעל לירושלם אשר ביהודה ויבן את בית יהוה אלהי ישראל הוא האלהים אשר בירושלם׃

⁴And whosoever is left, in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, besides the freewill-offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.

⁴Dans tout lieu où séjournent des restes du peuple de l'Eternel, les gens du lieu leur donneront de l'argent, de l'or, des effets, et du bétail, avec des offrandes volontaires pour la maison de Dieu qui est à Jérusalem.

⁴וכל הנשאר מכל המקמות אשר הוא גר שם ינשאוהו אנשי מקמו בכסף ובזהב וברכוש ובבהמה עם הנדבה לבית האלהים אשר בירושלם׃

⁵Then rose up the heads of fathers' [houses] of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up to build the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem.

⁵Les chefs de famille de Juda et de Benjamin, les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, tous ceux dont Dieu réveilla l'esprit, se levèrent pour aller bâtir la maison de l'Eternel à Jérusalem.

⁵ויקומו ראשי האבות ליהודה ובנימן והכהנים והלוים לכל העיר האלהים את רוחו לעלות לבנות את בית יהוה אשר בירושלם׃

⁶And all they that were round about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

⁶Tous leurs alentours leur donnèrent des objets d'argent, de l'or, des effets, du bétail, et des choses précieuses, outre toutes les offrandes volontaires.

⁶וכל סביבתיהם חזקו בידיהם בכלי כסף בזהב ברכוש ובבהמה ובמגדנות לבד על כל התנדב׃

⁷Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of Jehovah, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;

⁷Le roi Cyrus rendit les ustensiles de la maison de l'Eternel, que Nebucadnetsar avait emportés de Jérusalem et placés dans la maison de son dieu.

⁷והמלך כורש הוציא את כלי בית יהוה אשר הוציא נבוכדנצר מירושלם ויתנם בבית אלהיו׃

⁸even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

⁸Cyrus, roi de Perse, les fit sortir par Mithredath, le trésorier, qui les remit à Scheschbatsar, prince de Juda.

⁸ויוציאם כורש מלך פרס על יד מתרדת הגזבר ויספרם לששבצר הנשיא ליהודה׃

⁹And this is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, a thousand platters of silver, nine and twenty knives,

⁹En voici le nombre: trente bassins d'or, mille bassins d'argent, vingt-neuf couteaux,

⁹ואלה מספרם אגרטלי זהב שלשים אגרטלי כסף אלף מחלפים תשעה ועשרים׃

¹⁰thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.

¹⁰trente coupes d'or, quatre cent dix coupes d'argent de second ordre, mille autres ustensiles.

¹⁰כפורי זהב שלשים כפורי כסף משנים ארבע מאות ועשרה כלים אחרים אלף׃

¹¹All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when they of the captivity were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.

¹¹Tous les objets d'or et d'argent étaient au nombre de cinq mille quatre cents. Scheschbatsar emporta le tout de Babylone à Jérusalem, au retour de la captivité.

¹¹כל כלים לזהב ולכסף חמשת אלפים וארבע מאות הכל העלה ששבצר עם העלות הגולה מבבל לירושלם׃
