¹And as he went forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Teacher, behold, what manner of stones and what manner of buildings!

¹Lorsque Jésus sortit du temple, un de ses disciples lui dit: Maître, regarde quelles pierres, et quelles constructions!

¹ויהי בצאתו מן המקדש ויאמר אליו אחד מתלמידיו רבי ראה מה יפו האבנים והבנינים האלה׃

²And Jesus said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left here one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down.

²Jésus lui répondit: Vois-tu ces grandes constructions? Il ne restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.

²ויען ישוע אתו ויאמר הראית את כל הבנינים הגדולים האלה לא תשאר אבן על אבן אשר לא תתפרק׃

³And as he sat on the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

³Il s'assit sur la montagne des oliviers, en face du temple. Et Pierre, Jacques, Jean et André lui firent en particulier cette question:

³וישב על הר הזיתים ממול המקדש וישאלהו פטרוס ויעקב ויוחנן ואנדרי והם אתו לבדם׃

⁴Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign when these things are all about to be accomplished?

⁴Dis-nous, quand cela arrivera-t-il, et à quel signe connaîtra-t-on que toutes ces choses vont s'accomplir?

⁴אמר נא לנו מתי תהיה זאת ומה הוא האות בבא העת אשר תעשה בה כל זאת׃

⁵And Jesus began to say unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.

⁵Jésus se mit alors à leur dire: Prenez garde que personne ne vous séduise.

⁵ויען אתם ישוע ויחל לדבר ראו פן יתעה אתכם איש׃

⁶Many shall come in my name, saying, I am [he]; and shall lead many astray.

⁶Car plusieurs viendront sous mon nom, disant; C'est moi. Et ils séduiront beaucoup de gens.

⁶כי רבים יבאו בשמי לאמר אני הוא ויתעו רבים׃

⁷And when ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.

⁷Quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres, ne soyez pas troublés, car il faut que ces choses arrivent. Mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.

⁷ובשמעכם מלחמות ושמעות מלחמה אל תבהלו כי היו תהיה זאת אך לא זאת היא הקץ׃

⁸For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there shall be earthquakes in divers places; there shall be famines: these things are the beginning of travail.

⁸Une nation s'élèvera contre une nation, et un royaume contre un royaume; il y aura des tremblements de terre en divers lieux, il y aura des famines. Ce ne sera que le commencement des douleurs.

⁸כי יקום גוי על גוי וממלכה על ממלכה והיה רעש כה וכה והיה רעב ומהומה׃

⁹But take ye heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in synagogues shall ye be beaten; and before governors and kings shall ye stand for my sake, for a testimony unto them.

⁹Prenez garde à vous-mêmes. On vous livrera aux tribunaux, et vous serez battus de verges dans les synagogues; vous comparaîtrez devant des gouverneurs et devant des rois, à cause de moi, pour leur servir de témoignage.

⁹אלה ראשית החבלים ואתם השמרו בנפשתיכם כי ימסרו אתכם לסנהדריות והכיתם בבתי כנסיות ולפני משלים ומלכים תובאו למעני לעדות להם׃

¹⁰And the gospel must first be preached unto all the nations.

¹⁰Il faut premièrement que la bonne nouvelle soit prêchée à toutes les nations.

¹⁰והבשורה צריכה להקרא בראשנה לכל הגוים׃

¹¹And when they lead you [to judgment], and deliver you up, be not anxious beforehand what ye shall speak: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹¹Quand on vous emmènera pour vous livrer, ne vous inquiétez pas d'avance de ce que vous aurez à dire, mais dites ce qui vous sera donné à l'heure même; car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l'Esprit-Saint.

¹¹וכאשר יוליכו ומסרו אתכם אל תדאגו ואל תחשבו מה תדברו כי הדבר אשר ינתן לכם בשעה ההיא אותו דברו יען לא אתם הם המדברים כי אם רוח הקדש׃

¹²And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹²Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant; les enfants se soulèveront contre leurs parents, et les feront mourir.

¹²ואח ימסר את אחיו למות ואב את בנו וקמו בנים באבותם והמיתו אותם׃

¹³And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

¹³Vous serez haïs de tous, à cause de mon nom, mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé.

¹³והייתם שנואים לכל אדם למען שמי והמחכה עד עת קץ הוא יושע׃

¹⁴But when ye see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not (let him that readeth understand), then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:

¹⁴Lorsque vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation établie là où elle ne doit pas être, -que celui qui lit fasse attention, -alors, que ceux qui seront en Judée fuient dans les montagnes;

¹⁴וכי תראו את שקוץ משמם הנאמר ביד דניאל הנביא עמד במקום אשר לא לו הקורא יבין אז נוס ינוסו אנשי יהודה אל ההרים׃

¹⁵and let him that is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out his house:

¹⁵que celui qui sera sur le toit ne descende pas et n'entre pas pour prendre quelque chose dans sa maison;

¹⁵ואשר על הגג אל ירד הביתה ואל יבא פנימה לשאת דבר מביתו׃

¹⁶and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁶et que celui qui sera dans les champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau.

¹⁶ואשר בשדה אל ישב הביתה לשאת מלבושו׃

¹⁷But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!

¹⁷Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!

¹⁷ואוי להרות ולמיניקות בימים ההמה׃

¹⁸And pray ye that it be not in the winter.

¹⁸Priez pour que ces choses n'arrivent pas en hiver.

¹⁸אך התפללו אשר לא תהיה מנוסתכם בחרף׃

¹⁹For those days shall be tribulation, such as there hath not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never shall be.

¹⁹Car la détresse, en ces jours, sera telle qu'il n'y en a point eu de semblable depuis le commencement du monde que Dieu a créé jusqu'à présent, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais.

¹⁹כי הימים ההם יהיו עת צרה אשר לא נהיתה כמוה מראשית הבריאה אשר ברא אלהים עד עתה וכמוה לא תהיה עוד׃

²⁰And except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he chose, he shortened the days.

²⁰Et, si le Seigneur n'avait abrégé ces jours, personne ne serait sauvé; mais il les a abrégés, à cause des élus qu'il a choisis.

²⁰ולולי קצר יהוה את הימים ההם לא יושע כל בשר אך למען הבחירים אשר בחר בם קצר את הימים׃

²¹And then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ; or, Lo, there; believe [it] not:

²¹Si quelqu'un vous dit alors: Le Christ est ici, ou: Il est là", ne le croyez pas.

²¹ואז אם יאמר איש אליכם הנה פה המשיח או הנהו שם אל תאמינו׃

²²for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the elect.

²²Car il s'élèvera de faux Christs et de faux prophètes; ils feront des prodiges et des miracles pour séduire les élus, s'il était possible.

²²כי יקומו משיחי שקר ונביאי שקר ונתנו אתות ומופתים להתעות אף את הבחירים אם יוכלו׃

²³But take ye heed: behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²³Soyez sur vos gardes: je vous ai tout annoncé d'avance.

²³ואתם ראו הנה מראש הגדתי לכם את כל׃

²⁴But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

²⁴Mais dans ces jours, après cette détresse, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera plus sa lumière,

²⁴והיה בימים ההם אחרי הצרה ההיא תחשך השמש והירח לא יגיה אורו׃

²⁵and the stars shall be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

²⁵les étoiles tomberont du ciel, et les puissances qui sont dans les cieux seront ébranlées.

²⁵והכוכבים יפלו מן השמים וכחות השמים יתמוטטו׃

²⁶And then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

²⁶Alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées avec une grande puissance et avec gloire.

²⁶ואז יראו את בן האדם בא בעננים בגבורה רבה ובכבוד׃

²⁷And then shall he send forth the angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

²⁷Alors il enverra les anges, et il rassemblera les élus des quatre vents, de l'extrémité de la terre jusqu'à l'extrémité du ciel.

²⁷ואז ישלח את מלאכיו ויקבץ את בחיריו מארבע הרוחות מקצה הארץ עד קצה השמים׃

²⁸Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

²⁸Instruisez-vous par une comparaison tirée du figuier. Dès que ses branches deviennent tendres, et que les feuilles poussent, vous connaissez que l'été est proche.

²⁸למדו נא את משל התאנה כשירטב ענפה ופרח עלה ידעתם כי קרוב הקיץ׃

²⁹even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that he is nigh, [even] at the doors.

²⁹De même, quand vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que le Fils de l'homme est proche, à la porte.

²⁹כן אף אתם בראתכם כי היו כל אלה דעו כי קרוב הוא לפתח׃

³⁰Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.

³⁰Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point, que tout cela n'arrive.

³⁰אמן אמר אני לכם לא יעבר הדור הזה עד אשר יהיו כל אלה׃

³¹Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

³¹Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.

³¹השמים והארץ יעברו ודברי לא יעברון׃

³²But of that day or that hour knoweth no one, not even the angels in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

³²Pour ce qui est du jour ou de l'heure, personne ne le sait, ni les anges dans le ciel, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.

³²אך עת בוא היום ההוא והשעה ההיא אין איש יודע אותה גם לא מלאכי השמים גם לא הבן מבלעדי האב׃

³³Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

³³Prenez garde, veillez et priez; car vous ne savez quand ce temps viendra.

³³ראו שקדו והתפללו כי לא ידעתם מתי תהיה העת׃

³⁴[It is] as [when] a man, sojourning in another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, to each one his work, commanded also the porter to watch.

³⁴Il en sera comme d'un homme qui, partant pour un voyage, laisse sa maison, remet l'autorité à ses serviteurs, indique à chacun sa tâche, et ordonne au portier de veiller.

³⁴והיה כאיש הולך למרחק אשר עזב את ביתו ויתן שלטן לעבדיו ולאיש איש את מלאכתו וגם את השוער צוה לשקד׃

³⁵Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;

³⁵Veillez donc, car vous ne savez quand viendra le maître de la maison, ou le soir, ou au milieu de la nuit, ou au chant du coq, ou le matin;

³⁵לכן שקדו כי לא ידעתם מתי יבוא בעל הבית אם לעת ערב או בחצות הלילה אם בעת קריאת הגבר או בבקר׃

³⁶lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

³⁶craignez qu'il ne vous trouve endormis, à son arrivée soudaine.

³⁶פן יבוא פתאם ומצא אתכם ישנים׃

³⁷And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

³⁷Ce que je vous dis, je le dis à tous: Veillez.

³⁷ואת אשר אמרתי לכם אמר אני לכל שקדו׃
