1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.

1ויקם אלישיב הכהן הגדול ואחיו הכהנים ויבנו את שער הצאן המה קדשוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו ועד מגדל המאה קדשוהו עד מגדל חננאל׃
2And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

3And the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.
3Les fils de Senaa bâtirent la porte des poissons. Ils la couvrirent, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres.

4And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.
4A côté d'eux travailla aux réparations Merémoth, fils d'Urie, fils d'Hakkots; à côté d'eux travailla Meschullam, fils de Bérékia, fils de Meschézabeel; à côté d'eux travailla Tsadok, fils de Baana;
4ועל ידם החזיק מרמות בן אוריה בן הקוץ ועל ידם החזיק משלם בן ברכיה בן משיזבאל ועל ידם החזיק צדוק בן בענא׃
5And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord.
5côté d'eux travaillèrent les Tekoïtes, dont les principaux ne se soumirent pas au service de leur seigneur.
5ועל ידם החזיקו התקועים ואדיריהם לא הביאו צורם בעבדת אדניהם׃
6And the old gate repaired Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.
6Jojada, fils de Paséach, et Meschullam, fils de Besodia, réparèrent la vieille porte. Ils la couvrirent, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres.
6ואת שער הישנה החזיקו יוידע בן פסח ומשלם בן בסודיה המה קרוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו ומנעליו ובריחיו׃
7And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, [that appertained] to the throne of the governor beyond the River.
7A côté d'eux travaillèrent Melatia, le Gabaonite, Jadon, le Méronothite, et les hommes de Gabaon et de Mitspa, ressortissant au siège du gouverneur de ce côté du fleuve;
7ועל ידם החזיק מלטיה הגבעני וידון המרנתי אנשי גבעון והמצפה לכסא פחת עבר הנהר׃
8Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths. And next unto him repaired Hananiah one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem even unto the broad wall.
8côté d'eux travailla Uzziel, fils de Harhaja, d'entre les orfèvres, et à côté de lui travailla Hanania, d'entre les parfumeurs. Ils laissèrent Jérusalem jusqu'à la muraille large.
8על ידו החזיק עזיאל בן חרהיה צורפים ועל ידו החזיק חנניה בן הרקחים ויעזבו ירושלם עד החומה הרחבה׃
9And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.
9A côté d'eux travailla aux réparations Rephaja, fils de Hur, chef de la moitié du district de Jérusalem.
9ועל ידם החזיק רפיה בן חור שר חצי פלך ירושלם׃
10And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah.
10A côté d'eux travailla vis-à-vis de sa maison Jedaja, fils de Harumaph, et à côté de lui travailla Hattusch, fils de Haschabnia.
10ועל ידם החזיק ידיה בן חרומף ונגד ביתו ועל ידו החזיק חטוש בן חשבניה׃
11Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.
11Une autre portion de la muraille et la tour des fours furent réparées par Malkija, fils de Harim, et par Haschub, fils de Pachath-Moab.

12And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate.
13Hanun et les habitants de Zanoach réparèrent la porte de la vallée. Ils la bâtirent, et en posèrent les battants, les verrous et les barres. Ils firent de plus mille coudées de mur jusqu'à la porte du fumier.
13את שער הגיא החזיק חנון וישבי זנוח המה בנוהו ויעמידו דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו ואלף אמה בחומה עד שער השפות׃
14And the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

15And the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king's garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.
15Schallum, fils de Col-Hozé, chef du district de Mitspa, répara la porte de la source. Il la bâtit, la couvrit, et en posa les battants, les verrous et les barres. Il fit de plus le mur de l'étang de Siloé, près du jardin du roi, jusqu'aux degrés qui descendent de la cité de David.
15ואת שער העין החזיק שלון בן כל חזה שר פלך המצפה הוא יבננו ויטללנו ויעמידו דלתתיו מנעליו ובריחיו ואת חומת ברכת השלח לגן המלך ועד המעלות היורדות מעיר דויד׃
16After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men.
16Après lui Néhémie, fils d'Azbuk, chef de la moitié du district de Beth-Tsur, travailla aux réparations jusque vis-à-vis des sépulcres de David, jusqu'à l'étang qui avait été construit, et jusqu'à la maison des héros.
16אחריו החזיק נחמיה בן עזבוק שר חצי פלך בית צור עד נגד קברי דויד ועד הברכה העשויה ועד בית הגברים׃
17After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district.

18After him repaired their brethren, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah.

19And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion, over against the ascent to the armory at the turning [of the wall].
19et à côté de lui Ezer, fils de Josué, chef de Mitspa, répara une autre portion de la muraille, vis-à-vis de la montée de l'arsenal, à l'angle.

20After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning [of the wall] unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
20Après lui Baruc, fils de Zabbaï, répara avec ardeur une autre portion, depuis l'angle jusqu'à la porte de la maison d'Eliaschib, le souverain sacrificateur.
20אחריו החרה החזיק ברוך בן זבי מדה שנית מן המקצוע עד פתח בית אלישיב הכהן הגדול׃
21After him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.
21Après lui Merémoth, fils d'Urie, fils d'Hakkots, répara une autre portion depuis la porte de la maison d'Eliaschib jusqu'à l'extrémité de la maison d'Eliaschib.

22And after him repaired the priests, the men of the Plain.

23After them repaired Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah beside his own house.
23Après eux Benjamin et Haschub travaillèrent vis-à-vis de leur maison. Après eux Azaria, fils de Maaséja, fils d'Anania, travailla à côté de sa maison.
23אחריו החזיק בנימן וחשוב נגד ביתם אחריו החזיק עזריה בן מעשיה בן ענניה אצל ביתו׃
24After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah unto the turning [of the wall], and unto the corner.
24Après lui Binnuï, fils de Hénadad, répara une autre portion, depuis la maison d'Azaria jusqu'à l'angle et jusqu'au coin.
24אחריו החזיק בנוי בן חנדד מדה שנית מבית עזריה עד המקצוע ועד הפנה׃
25Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] over against the turning [of the wall], and the tower that standeth out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh [repaired].
25Palal, fils d'Uzaï, travailla vis-à-vis de l'angle et de la tour supérieure qui fait saillie en avant de la maison du roi près de la cour de la prison. Après lui travailla Pedaja, fils de Pareosch.
25פלל בן אוזי מנגד המקצוע והמגדל היוצא מבית המלך העליון אשר לחצר המטרה אחריו פדיה בן פרעש׃
26(Now the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.)
26Les Néthiniens demeurant sur la colline travaillèrent jusque vis-à-vis de la porte des eaux, à l'orient, et de la tour en saillie.
26והנתינים היו ישבים בעפל עד נגד שער המים למזרח והמגדל היוצא׃
27After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that standeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel.
27Après eux les Tekoïtes réparèrent une autre portion, vis-à-vis de la grande tour en saillie jusqu'au mur de la colline.
27אחריו החזיקו התקעים מדה שנית מנגד המגדל הגדול היוצא ועד חומת העפל׃
28Above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his own house.
28Au-dessus de la porte des chevaux, les sacrificateurs travaillèrent chacun devant sa maison.
28מעל שער הסוסים החזיקו הכהנים איש לנגד ביתו׃
29After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate.
29Après eux Tsadok, fils d'Immer, travailla devant sa maison. Après lui travailla Schemaeja, fils de Schecania, gardien de la porte de l'orient.
29אחריו החזיק צדוק בן אמר נגד ביתו ואחריו החזיק שמעיה בן שכניה שמר שער המזרח׃
30After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber.

31After him repaired Malchijah one of the goldsmiths unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.

32And between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
32Les orfèvres et les marchands travaillèrent entre la chambre haute du coin et la porte des brebis.
