1A Psalm of David. The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.
1Psaume de David. A l'Eternel la terre et ce qu'elle renferme, Le monde et ceux qui l'habitent!
1לדוד מזמור ליהוה הארץ ומלואה תבל וישבי בה׃
2For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.
2Car il l'a fondée sur les mers, Et affermie sur les fleuves.
2כי הוא על ימים יסדה ועל נהרות יכוננה׃
3Who shall ascend into the hill of Jehovah? And who shall stand in his holy place?
3Qui pourra monter à la montagne de l'Eternel? Qui s'élèvera jusqu'à son lieu saint? -
3מי יעלה בהר יהוה ומי יקום במקום קדשו׃
4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, And hath not sworn deceitfully.
4Celui qui a les mains innocentes et le coeur pur; Celui qui ne livre pas son âme au mensonge, Et qui ne jure pas pour tromper.
4נקי כפים ובר לבב אשר לא נשא לשוא נפשי ולא נשבע למרמה׃
5He shall receive a blessing from Jehovah, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
5Il obtiendra la bénédiction de l'Eternel, La miséricorde du Dieu de son salut.
5ישא ברכה מאת יהוה וצדקה מאלהי ישעו׃
6This is the generation of them that seek after him, That seek thy face, [even] Jacob. Selah
6Voilà le partage de la génération qui l'invoque, De ceux qui cherchent ta face, de Jacob! -Pause.
6זה דור דרשו מבקשי פניך יעקב סלה׃
7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; And be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors: And the King of glory will come in.
7Portes, élevez vos linteaux; Elevez-vous, portes éternelles! Que le roi de gloire fasse son entrée! -
7שאו שערים ראשיכם והנשאו פתחי עולם ויבוא מלך הכבוד׃
8Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.
8Qui est ce roi de gloire? -L'Eternel fort et puissant, L'Eternel puissant dans les combats.
8מי זה מלך הכבוד יהוה עזוז וגבור יהוה גבור מלחמה׃
9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; Yea, lift them up, ye everlasting doors: And the King of glory will come in.
9Portes, élevez vos linteaux; Elevez-les, portes éternelles! Que le roi de gloire fasse son entrée! -
9שאו שערים ראשיכם ושאו פתחי עולם ויבא מלך הכבוד׃
10Who is this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah
10Qui donc est ce roi de gloire? -L'Eternel des armées: Voilà le roi de gloire! -Pause.
