1Untuk pemimpin kor. Dengan permainan kecapi. Dari Daud. (61-2) Dengarlah seruanku, ya Allah, perhatikanlah doaku.
2From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
2(61-3) Jauh dari rumah aku berseru kepada-Mu, karena aku putus asa. Engkau akan menghantar aku ke tempat pengungsian yang aman, tempat yang terlalu tinggi bagiku;
3For thou hast been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy.
3(61-4) sebab Engkaulah pelindungku, pertahanan yang kuat terhadap musuhku.
4I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah
4(61-5) Biarlah aku seumur hidup menumpang di kemah-Mu, supaya aman dalam naungan sayap-Mu.
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.
5(61-6) Sebab Engkau telah mendengar janjiku, ya Allah, dan memberi kepadaku milik pusaka orang takwa.
6Thou wilt prolong the king's life; His years shall be as many generations.
6(61-7) Semoga raja panjang umur, sehingga ia hidup turun-temurun.
7He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
7(61-8) Semoga ia memerintah untuk selama-lamanya sebagai raja pilihan-Mu, ya Allah, lindungilah dia dengan kasih dan kesetiaan-Mu.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.
8(61-9) Maka aku akan selalu menyanyikan pujian bagi-Mu, sambil menepati janjiku dari hari ke hari.
