¹For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

¹Untuk pemimpin kor. Menurut lagu: Gitit. Mazmur kaum Korah. (84-2) Alangkah menyenangkan tempat kediaman-Mu, ya Allah Yang Mahakuasa!

²My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.

²(84-3) Hatiku sangat merindukan Rumah-Mu, jiwa ragaku bersorak bagi Allah yang hidup.

³Yea, the sparrow hath found her a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, My King, and my God.

³(84-4) Bahkan burung pipit mendapat rumah dan burung layang-layang sebuah sarang, tempat mereka menaruh anaknya di dekat mezbah-Mu, ya TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa, Rajaku dan Allahku.

⁴Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: They will be still praising thee. Selah

⁴(84-5) Sungguh bahagia orang yang tinggal di Rumah-Mu, dan menyanyikan pujian bagi-Mu selalu.

⁵Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; In whose heart are the highways [to Zion].

⁵(84-6) Bahagialah orang yang mendapat kekuatan daripada-Mu, dan yang berhasrat mengadakan ziarah ke Gunung Sion.

⁶Passing through the valley of Weeping they make it a place of springs; Yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.

⁶(84-7) Sementara mereka berjalan melalui lembah Baka, tempat itu mereka ubah menjadi mata air, hujan pertama melimpahinya dengan berkat.

⁷They go from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

⁷(84-8) Kekuatan mereka semakin bertambah, waktu berjalan ke Sion, ke tempat Allah segala dewata menampakkan diri.

⁸O Jehovah God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

⁸(84-9) Dengarlah doaku, ya TUHAN Allah Yang Mahakuasa, dengarkanlah, ya Allah Yakub.

⁹Behold, O God our shield, And look upon the face of thine anointed.

⁹(84-10) Berkatilah raja kami, ya Allah, lindungilah orang yang telah Kaupilih.

¹⁰For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹⁰(84-11) Lebih baik satu hari di Rumah-Mu daripada seribu hari di tempat lain. Aku memilih menjadi penjaga pintu di Rumah Allahku daripada tinggal di rumah orang jahat.

¹¹For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹¹(84-12) Sebab TUHAN Allah pelindung kita dan raja yang agung, yang menganugerahi kita kasih dan kehormatan. Ia tak pernah menolak apa pun yang baik terhadap orang yang hidupnya tidak bercela.

¹²O Jehovah of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

¹²(84-13) Ya TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa, berbahagialah orang yang percaya kepada-Mu.
