¹O Jehovah, thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: Render to the proud [their] desert.

²Kelkis, pasaulio Teisėjau, atlygink išdidiesiems, ką jie nusipelnė!

³Jehovah, how long shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?

³Viešpatie, ar ilgai dar nedorėliai džiūgaus?

⁴They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

⁴Ar ilgai kalbės įžūliai ir didžiuosis visi piktadariai?

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah, And afflict thy heritage.

⁵Viešpatie, jie trypia Tavo tautą, spaudžia Tavo paveldą.

⁶They slay the widow and the sojourner, And murder the fatherless.

⁶Jie užmuša našlę ir ateivį, žudo našlaičius.

⁷And they say, Jehovah will not see, Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

⁷Jie sako: “Viešpats nemato, Jokūbo Dievas nepastebi”.

⁸Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁸Susipraskite, tautos neišmanėliai! Jūs kvailiai, kada išminties įgysite?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

⁹Nejaugi Tas, kuris padarė ausį, negirdėtų, ir Tas, kuris sukūrė akį, nematytų?

¹⁰He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, [Even] he that teacheth man knowledge?

¹⁰Argi Tas, kuris auklėja tautas ir moko žmones išminties, nesudraustų?

¹¹Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, That they are vanity.

¹¹Viešpats žino žmonių mintis, kad jos yra tuščios.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;

¹²Palaimintas žmogus, Viešpatie, kurį Tu auklėji ir savo įstatymo mokai;

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹³ramybę jam teiki nelaimių dienomis, kol nedorėliui kasama duobė.

¹⁴For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁴Juk Viešpats neatmes savo tautos ir neapleis savo paveldėjimo.

¹⁵For judgment shall return unto righteousness; And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁵Teisingumas sugrįš teisiajam ir juo paseks visi tiesiaširdžiai.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁶Kas gins mane nuo piktadarių? Kas užstos mane prieš skriaudėjus?

¹⁷Unless Jehovah had been my help, My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

¹⁷Jei Viešpats man nebūtų padėjęs, būčiau atsidūręs tylos karalystėje.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth; Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

¹⁸Kai pasakiau: “Slysta mano koja”, Tavo gailestingumas, Viešpatie, palaikė mane.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

¹⁹Kai mano širdis prisikaupė rūpesčių, Tavo paguoda sielai džiaugsmą grąžino.

²⁰Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee, Which frameth mischief by statute?

²⁰Argi Tu nedorėlių sostui pritarsi, kai iškraipydami įstatymą jie spaudžia žmones?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.

²¹Teisiojo sielą jie puola, nekaltą kraują pasmerkia.

²²But Jehovah hath been my high tower, And my God the rock of my refuge.

²²Bet Viešpats yra mano apsauga ir mano Dievas­priebėgos uola.

²³And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness; Jehovah our God will cut them off.

²³Jis atlygins jiems už jų nedorybes, jų pačių neteisybėse sunaikins juos. Viešpats, mūsų Dievas, sunaikins juos.
