¹Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand,

²by which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I preached unto you, except ye believed in vain.

³For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁴and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;

⁵and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve;

⁶then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;

⁷then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;

⁸and last of all, as to the [child] untimely born, he appeared to me also.

⁹For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹⁰But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

¹⁰Himahleh, Pathian hehpihna jiakin ka hihhih ka hita; huan, a hehpihna honpiak a thawnin a om keia, huchih naksangin, amau tengteng sangin ka sem gim jaw ahi; himahleh keimah kian ka sem keia, Pathian hehpihna ka kianga omin a sem jaw hi.

¹¹Whether then [it be] I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

¹¹Abang abang hitaleh, ken leng, amau leng, huchiin ka gen jel ua, huchiin nou leng na gingta uhi.

¹²Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹²Huan, Kris thu misi laka kipan kaihthohin a om chih a honhilh ngal uleh, bangchidan ahia na lak ua khenkhatin, Misi thohnawnna himhim a om kei, na chih uh?

¹³But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither hath Christ been raised:

¹³Misi thohnawnna himhim a omlou ahihleh, huai Kris leng kaihthohin a om kei ding hi.

¹⁴and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain.

¹⁴Huan huai Kris kaihthoha a om kei leh, i thugen uh bangmah lou ahi dinga, na gin uleng bangmah lou ahi ding hi.

¹⁵Yea, we are found false witnesses of God; because we witnessed of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead are not raised.

¹⁵Ahi, Kris a kaithou chih Pathian i theihpih jiakin, Pathian lam thu ah theihpih juauthei leng i honghi ding hi, misite kaihthoha a om kei uleh, amah leng a kaithou kei dinga.

¹⁶For if the dead are not raised, neither hath Christ been raised:

¹⁶Misite kaithoha a om kei un jaw, Kris leng kaihthohin a omta kei ding.

¹⁷and if Christ hath not been raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

¹⁷Huan, Kris kaihthoha a om kei leh, na gin uh bangmah lou ahi dinga, na khelhna uah na om ni louhlouh uh ahi ding.

¹⁸Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

¹⁸Huai ahihleh, Krisa ihmu sate a mangthangte uh ahi ding hi.

¹⁹If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.

¹⁹Tu damsung kiaa Kris tunga lametna i neih injaw mi tengteng dia mi hehpihhuai pen i hi ding hi.

²⁰But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.

²⁰Himahleh, Kris misi laka kipan kaihthohin a om taktak ahi, ihmute laka kipan gahmasa a na hita hi.

²¹For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

²¹Mi khat jiaka sihna a hongom jiakin mi khat jiak mahin misi thohnawnna leng a hongomta ahi.

²²For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

²²Adam ah mi tengteng a si mahbang un, Kris ah mi tengteng hihhinin leng a om ding uhi.

²³But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming.

²³Himahleh, amau hun chiat jel ah: Kris tuh gah masapente ahia; huai khit chiangin a hongpainawnna ah Kris ate.

²⁴Then [cometh] the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

²⁴Huai khit chiangin a tawp a hongtung ding; huai hun chiangin, vaihawmna tengteng leh, thuneihna leh thilhihtheihna tengteng a hihman nungin, Pathian kiangah, Pa kiang ngeingei ah gam tuh a pe ding hi.

²⁵For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁵A melmate tengteng a khe nuaia a koih masiah aman vaihawm ding ahi ngala.

²⁶The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.

²⁶Melma nanungpen a hihmanga om ding tuh sihna ahi.

²⁷For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.

²⁷Aman a khe nuaiah bangkim a koih ngala, himahleh, A nuaiah bangkim koihin a om, a chihin, a nuaia bangkim koihpa a pang kha kei chih a kimugige ahi.

²⁸And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.

²⁸Huan, a nuaia bangkim koiha a om hun chiangin, Tapa mahmah leng a nuaia koihin a om dinga, Pathian tuh bangkima bangkim a hih theihna dingin

²⁹Else what shall they do that are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them?

²⁹Huchi bang ahih kei in, misite adinga baptisma a tansak uh bang a chihna uh hi ding ahia? Misite kaihthoha a om louh hial ding uleh, bang achia amau adia baptisma tansak uh ahia?

³⁰Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?

³⁰Bangjiakin ahia, kei leng dak kal chiha lauthawnghuaia ka om?

³¹I protest by that glorifying in you, brethren, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

³¹Unaute aw, Kris Jesu i Toupaa ka honsuanna sialin, Ni tengin ka si, ka chi ahi.

³²If after the manner of men I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die.

³²Mihing danin gen leng, Ephesa khua a gam sate kilaipih ka hih leh, kei din bang a phatuam ding? Misi kaihthoha a om kei ding uleh nein dawn leng ake, jingchianga si ding hi ve hangin.

³³Be not deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals.

³³Khemin om kei un; Lawm gilouten omdan hoih a hihgawp nak uhi.

³⁴Awake to soberness righteously, and sin not; for some have no knowledge of God: I speak [this] to move you to shame.

³⁴Kizentakin halh unla, thil hihkhial kei un; khenkhatin Pa Pathian theihna himhim na neikei uh; huai tuh na zumna ding ua ka gen ahi.

³⁵But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come?

³⁵Himahleh, kuahiamkhatin, Misi bangchin kaihthoh ahi ding uh? Pumpi bangchi bang puin ahia a hongsuah ding? a chi ahi ding e.

³⁶Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die:

³⁶Nang mi hai, nangmah mahin na tuh leng, a sih phot keileh hihhinin a om sama.

³⁷and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other kind;

³⁷Huan, chi na tuhin a pumpi hongom ding pen ahi keia, a tang lel na tuh zo nak, buh tang hiam, chi dang tang hiam ahi thei hi.

³⁸but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.

³⁸Himahleh, Pathianin amah deih bangbangin pumpi a pia hi, a tang chih kiangah amah pumpi chiat.

³⁹All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one [flesh] of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fishes.

³⁹Sa tengteng sa chi khat ahi kei ua; mihing sa a tuama, gamsa sa a tuama, vasa sa a tuama, ngasa sa a tuam ahi.

⁴⁰There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial is another.

⁴⁰Vanlam pumpite leng a oma, leilam pumpite leng a om, himahleh vanlam pumpite thupina a tuama, leilam pumpite thupina a tuam,

⁴¹There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.

⁴¹Ni thupina a tuam, kha thupina a tuama, aksite thupina a tuam; aksi leh aksi leng a thupina uh a tuam ngala.

⁴²So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

⁴²Misite thohnawnna leng tuabang ahi. Muattheia tuhin a oma, muattheiloua kaihthohin a om.

⁴³it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

⁴³Pahtawilouha tuhin a oma, thupitaka kaihthohin a om. Hatloua tuhin a oma, thilhihtheihna neia kaihthohin a om.

⁴⁴it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual [body].

⁴⁴Salam pumpi-a tuhin a oma, khalam pumi-a kaihthohin a om. Salam pumpi a om leh khalam pumpi leng a om.

⁴⁵So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit.

⁴⁵Huchiin, Mi masapen Adam tuh mihing a honghia, chi-a gelh ahi; Adam nanungpen bel hinna pepa kha a honghi a.

⁴⁶Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual.

⁴⁶Himahleh, khalam a om masa keia, sa lam a om jaw; huai zohin khalam pen a om hi.

⁴⁷The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.

⁴⁷Mihing masapen leia siam, leimi ahia; mihing nihna pen vanmi ahi.

⁴⁸As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

⁴⁸Leia siam mihing bang tuh, leia te leng ahi ua; vana mi bang tuh, vanate leng ahi uhi.

⁴⁹And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

⁴⁹Huan, leia siam batna pen i put bangin, vana batna pen leng i pu sam ding uhi.

⁵⁰Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

⁵⁰Unaute aw, sa leh sisanin Pathian gam a luah theikei dinga; muat theiin muat theilou a luah sam kei ding, chih, ka gen ahi.

⁵¹Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,

⁵¹Ngai un, thuguk ka honhilh ding hi: i vek un i ihmu khol kei dinga, himahleh i vek un pengkul nanungpen gin chiangin, sawtlou kalin,

⁵²in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

⁵²Mitphiat kal louin, hihlamdangin i om vekta ding; pengkul ging ding ahi ngala, huchiin, misite tuh muat theiloua kaihthohin a om ding ua, eite leng hihlamdanin i om ta ding hi.

⁵³For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

⁵³Hiai muat theiin muat theihlouhna a silh ding ahi a, hiai sitheiin leng sihtheihlouhna a silh sam ding ahi.

⁵⁴But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

⁵⁴Huchia, hiai muattheiin muatheihlouhna a silha, hiai sithein sihtheihlouhna a silh hun chiangin, huai hun ngeingeiin, zohnain sihnaa valh zouta, chih thugelh a hong tung ding.

⁵⁵O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

⁵⁵Aw sihna, na zohna koia omta ahia? Aw sihna na gu koia omta ahia?

⁵⁶The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law:

⁵⁶Sihna gu tuh khelhna ahia; khelhna thilhihtheihna tuh dan ahi.

⁵⁷but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵⁷Himahleh, i Toupa Jesu Kris jiaka zohna honpepa Pathian kiangah kipahthu om hen.Huaijiakin, ka unau deihtakte aw, kip takin, hihlin vuallouhin, Toupa nasep phatuam ngai taka sem gigein om un, na sepgimna uh Toupa ah a thawn ngei kei chih na thei ngal ua.

⁵⁸Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord.

⁵⁸Huaijiakin, ka unau deihtakte aw, kip takin, hihlin vuallouhin, Toupa nasep phatuam ngai taka sem gigein om un, na sepgimna uh Toupa ah a thawn ngei kei chih na thei ngal ua.
