Galatians

4

1But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a bondservant though he is lord of all;
1Himahleh, hichiin ka chi: Gouluah dingpa tuh bangkim tungah toupa hi mahleh, naupang a hih laiteng bawi toh bangmahin a kidang tuan kei hi;
2but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed of the father.
2A pa hun seh a hongtun masiah a donpate leh a kempate nuaiah a om jaw hi.
3So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the rudiments of the world:
3Huchibangin ei leng naupang i hih laiin, khovel thubulte nuaiah bawi hihna ah i om uhi;
4but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
4Himahleh, a hunbi a hongkimin, Pathianin a Tapa, numei suanin, dan nuaia hongsuakin, a honsawl kheta,
5that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
5Ta hihna i muh theihna dinga, dan nuaia omte tankhe dingin.
6And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
6Huan, tate na hih jiak un Pathianin a Tapa Kha tuh, Abba, Pa, chia kikouin, i lungtang uah a honsawl hi.
7So that thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
7Huchiin bawi na hita keia, ta na hi zota; huan, ta na hih leh, Pathian vanga gouluah dingpa na hi hi.
8Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:
8Himahleh tua Pathian na theih louh lai un, a piandan mawng ua Pathian hi lou hialte bawi na hi ua.
9but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?
9Tua Pathian na hontheih nung un bel-hi lou, Pathian theihmi na honghih nung un, chih ding ahi jaw-thubul jawngkhal leh namanloua bawia om nawn na utnate uh lama, bangchi dana kihei nawn na hi ua?
10Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.
10Nite, khate, hunte, kumte na tang jel ua.
11I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain.
11Na tunguah tha ka seng thawn kha ding e aw, chih ka lau ahi.
12I beseech you, brethren, become as I [am], for I also [am become] as ye [are]. Ye did me no wrong:
12Unaute aw, ka hongngen ahi, keimah bangin om un, kei leng noumau bangin ka om ngala, ka bangmah na suse kei uhi.
13but ye know that because of an infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you the first time:
13Tanchin Hoih na kiang ua ka gen masakna pen ka sa hat louh jiak ahi chih na thei ngal ua.
14and that which was a temptation to you in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but ye received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus.
14Huan, ka saa nou dia khemna om tuh na simmoh kei ua, na kih sam kei uh; Pathian angel bangin, Kris Jesu bang hialin na honnapakta jaw uhi.
15Where then is that gratulation of yourselves? for I bear you witness, that, if possible, ye would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.
16So then am I become your enemy, by telling you the truth?
17They zealously seek you in no good way; nay, they desire to shut you out, that ye may seek them.
17Hoih lamah hi het lou napiin phatuam ngai takin nou a honzong khe jel uhi; ahi, amau lama hon zoh theihna ding un noute hon pokhakkhiak a ut uhi.
18But it is good to be zealously sought in a good matter at all times, and not only when I am present with you.
18Thu hoih lamah bel chiklai peuhin phatuamngai taka zona om gige tuh a hoih ahi, na kiang ua ka om lai kia hi louin.
19My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you--
19Ka unaute aw, Kris noumaua siam pichinga a om masiah, nauveiin ka honvei hi.
20but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone; for I am perplexed about you.
21Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the freewoman.
22Hichibanga gelh ahi ngala. Abrahamin tapa nih a neia, khat tuh bawinu toh. khat tuh noplennu toh.
23Howbeit the [son] by the handmaid is born after the flesh; but the [son] by the freewoman [is born] through promise.
23Himahleh, bawinu laka pen tuh sa danin a pianga, noplennu laka pen bel thuchiam jiaka piang ahi, chih.
24Which things contain an allegory: for these [women] are two covenants; one from mount Sinai, bearing children unto bondage, which is Hagar.
24Huai thute bang, gentehna ahi; huai numeite tuh thukhun nih ahi uhi; khat tuh Sinai tanga, bawi hi dinga, ta neinu; huai tuh Hagar ahi.
25Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.
25Huan, Hagar bel Arabia gama Sinai tang ahi a, Jerusalem tulaia om toh kibang ahi, a tate toh bawiin a om ngal ua.
26But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother.
26Tunglam Jerusalem bel noplen ahi; huai ngeingei tuh eite nu ahi hi.
27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.
27Nang, ching, ta nei ngei lou, nuam in, nang, nauvei ngei lou, kikou khia in; pasal nei sangin lungjuangnun, tate a nei tam zo ngala, chih gelh ahi.
28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
28Huchiin unaute aw, eite Isaak bangin thuchiam tate i hi a.
29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, so also it is now.
29Himahleh, huailai bangin tuin leng ahi; sa dana piangin tuh Kha dana piang a sawi ahi.
30Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
30Himahleh, laisiangthouin bangchi bangin a gena? Bawinu tuh, a tapa toh, hawlkhia un; bawinu tapain noplennu tapa tuh gou a luahpih louh ding jiakin, a chi a.Huchiin, unaute aw, bawinu tate i hi kei ua, noplennu tate i hi jaw uhi.
31Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman.
31Huchiin, unaute aw, bawinu tate i hi kei ua, noplennu tate i hi jaw uhi.
