1Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.
1Huaijiakin I lau ding uh, huchilouin jaw a khawlna a lutna thuchiam om lai napiin, na lak ua kuapeuh leng chinglou bangin na om kha zenzen ding uhi.
2For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they: but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard.
2Amau kianga gena hih mahbangin tanchin hoih I kianga gen ahi ngei ngal a; himahleh, a thu jak un amaute a suphatuam ngal keia, azatea ginna toh kizoma a om louh jiakin.
3For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
3Ei gingta khinte tuh huai khawlna ah I lut lellel ahi, Ka thangpaiha ka kichiam bangin ka khawlna ah a lut kei ding uh, chih bangin; leilung pian tung akipan nate tuh sep zoh a hikhinta na a.
4For he hath said somewhere of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works;
4Koilaimun ahi hiam ah ni sagih ni thu hichibangin agenve: Huan, ni sagih niin Pathianin anasep tengteng a khawlsanta a, chiin.
5and in this [place] again, They shall not enter into my rest.
5Huan, hiai munah, Ka khawlna ah a lut kei ding uh, a chi nawn a.
6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some should enter thereinto, and they to whom the good tidings were before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,
6Huchiin, khenkhat tuh huai khawlna a a lutna ding ua thuchiam a om lai jiak leh, ni danga tanchin hoih gen tangte thumanlouh jiaka a lut tak louh jiak un,
7he again defineth a certain day, To-day, saying in David so long a time afterward (even as hath been said before), To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts.
7sawttak nungin David ah, Tuniin, chiin, bang ni hiam a sep tuan nawna, Tuniin a aw na jak chiangun na lungtang uh khauhsak kei un, chia a maa kigensa bangin.
8For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
8Joshuain amaute na khawlsak ta hileh jaw, huai nungin ni dang tuam thu A gen kei ding hi.
9There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.
9Huchiin, Pathian mite a dingin khawlni a khawlna a om lai ahi.
10For he that is entered into his rest hath himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
10Pathianin amah nasepte a khawlsan bangin, A khawlna a lut khinsa miin leng anasepte a khawlsan samta ahi.
11Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, that no man fall after the same example of disobedience.
11Huchiin, kuamah huai thumanlouhna bang a om a ipuk louhna ding un huai khawlna a lut ding in phatuam ingai ding uhi.
12For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
12Pathian thu ahing a, thil ahihthei a, namsau hiamtuah bang chibang sangin leng ahiam a, hinna leh kha, guhlawi leh guhngek tuamkhen hial hel khopin a sun thei a, lungtang a ngaihuah leh tup te a theipah ngal thei ahi.
13And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
13Huaziakin, thil siam amah mitmuh a langlou himhim a omkei; Itan chin itutna ding mitmuh a zaw bangkim vuaktangleh kihongsa in a om zaw hi.
14Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
14Hichiin, van khawng bang a paisuak khinsa Siampu Lianpen thupitak, Jesu Pathian Tapa, ineih ziakin I gin tuh, I pomkip ding uhi.
15For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
15Siampu Lianpen ihatlouhdan kitheihna te hon theihpih phalou nei ihi ngal kei a; eimah bang a lam tuamtuam a khemna tuaksa, khelh bel khiallou, nei ihi zaw uhi.Huchiin, zahngaihna imuh theihna ding leh huh ideih chiang a huhna hehpihna imuh theihna ding in, hehpihna mangtutphah tuh hangtakin inaih ding uhi.
16Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help [us] in time of need.
16Huchiin, zahngaihna imuh theihna ding leh huh ideih chiang a huhna hehpihna imuh theihna ding in, hehpihna mangtutphah tuh hangtakin inaih ding uhi.
