1After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is [the sea] of Tiberias.
1Huai thilte khitin, Jesu Galili dil Tiberia dil kichi gal leh lamah a paita a.
2And a great multitude followed him, because they beheld the signs which he did on them that were sick.
2Huan, damloute tunga thillamdang a hihte a muh jiakun mipi tampiin amah a jui ua.
3And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
3Huan, Jesu tangah a hohtoua, huai ah a nungjuite kiangah a tu a.
4Now the passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.
4Huan, Paikan Ankuangluina, Judate Ankuangluina a naita hi.
5Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat?
5Huan, Jesu a daka, mipi tampiin a kiang lam honjuanin a mu a, Philip kiangah, Hiaite nekding tanghou koia kipanin ahia i lei ding? a chi a.
6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
6Huai thu tuh amah zeet na dia a gen ahi, a hih ding lah aman a theigige ngala.
7Philip answered him, Two hundred shillings' worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little.
7Huan, Philipin a kiangah, Mi chihin tawm chika a tan chiat ding uleng, makhai zanih man tanghouin a chin kei ding, a chi a, a dawnga.
8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
8Huan, a nungjuite laka khat, Simon Peter anau Andru in a kiangah,
9There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what are these among so many?
9Barli-buh tanghou phel nga leh ngasa nih nei pasal naupang khat hiaiah a om hi; himahleh, mi hiai zah lawmlawm lakah huaite bangtham hi ding ahia? a chi a.
10Jesus said, Make the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
10Huan, Jesun, Mite tu sak un, a chi a. Huan, huai lai ah loupa tampi a om hi. Huchiin, pichingte a tuta ua, a tam lam uh tuh sangnga khawng ahi uh.
11Jesus therefore took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down; likewise also of the fishes as much as they would.
11Huan, Jesun tanghou phelte a la a, kipahthu a gen khit in a tute kiangah a hawma, huchi mahbangin ngasate leng a deih hun un a hawm sam hi.
12And when they were filled, he saith unto his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which remain over, that nothing be lost.
12Huan, a kham nung un, a nungjuite kiangah, Bangmah mang lou dingin a nente luak un, a chi a.
13So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which remained over unto them that had eaten.
13Huchiin, a luak ua, barli-buh tanghou phel nga nete nek bang nentein bawm sawm leh nih a hihdim uhi.
14When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, This is of a truth the prophet that cometh into the world.
14Huan, miten thillamdang a hih a muh tak un, Hiai mi, jawlnei, khovel a hong dingpa a nahi ngei e, a chi uh.
15Jesus therefore perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain himself alone.
15Huchiin, amah tuh kumpipa dia bawl dinga mat teitei tumin hongkuan a tum uh chih Jesun a theia, tangah amah kia in a pai tuam nawnta hi.
16And when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea;
16Huan, ni taklamin, a nungjuite dil ah a pai suk ua;
17and they entered into a boat, and were going over the sea unto Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
17Longah a tuang ua, dil ah Kapernaum khua a juan ua. Huan, khua a mial ta a, Jesu lah a kiang uah a hongtung nai keia.
18And the sea was rising by reason of a great wind that blew.
18Huihpi hat tak a nun jiakin tui a kihawt sang hulhul ngala.
19When therefore they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the boat: and they were afraid.
19Huan, ching sawmnih lah ching nga hiam, ching sawmthum hiam a kalh un, Jesu dil tungah khea paia, long honnaihin a mu ua, a lauta uh.
20But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
20Himahleh, aman a kiang uah, Keimah ka hi, lau kei un, a chi a.
21They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat: and straightway the boat was at the land whither they were going.
21Huchiin, longah tuansak a utta uhi; huan, longin, a zot gam uh a pha pahta hi.
22On the morrow the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, save one, and that Jesus entered not with his disciples into the boat, but [that] his disciples went away alone
22A jingin dil gal leh lama mipi dingten, long khat lou ngal long dang a om keia, Jesu a nungjuite toh longah a tuang ton keia, a nungjuite amau kiain a pai uh chih a thei ua.
23(howbeit there came boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks):
23Himahleh Toupan kipahthu a gen nunga, tanghou a nekna mun kiang uah, Tiberia khua akipanin long neu chikchik a hongtung uhi.
24when the multitude therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
24Huchiin, mipin Jesu leh a nungjuite a om takei uh chih a theih un, amau leng long neute ah a tuang ua, Jesu zongin Kapernaum khua a hong tung ua.
25And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
25Huan, dil gala a hongmuh un a kiangah, Rabbi, chikin ahia hiai lam nong tun? a chi ua.
26Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled.
26Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, thillamdangte na muh jiak ua honzong na hi kei ua, tanghou phel na nek vah jiak uh ahi jaw.
27Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, even God, hath sealed.
27An mang thei phet zongin phiaphia kei un, khantawna hin phaa om gige ding an, Mihing Tapain a honpiak ding zong in phe jaw un; Pa Pathianin amah achiamtehta ngala, a chi a, a dawnga.
28They said therefore unto him, What must we do, that we may work the works of God?
28Huan, amau a kiangah, Pathian na ka sep theihna dingun thil banga hia ka hih ding uh? a chi ua.
29Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
29Huan, Jesun a kianguah, Pathian nasep hiai ahi, a misawl gingta le uchin, a chi a, a dawnga.
30They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou?
30Huan, amau a kiangah, Chiamtehna bang ahia na hih ding, ka muh ua nang kon gintak theihna ding un? Thil bang ahia na hih ding?
31Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.
31Ka pipute un gamdai ah manna a ne ua, Van akipanin a kiang uah amau tanghou nek ding a pia, chih gelh bangin, a chi ua.
32Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, It was not Moses that gave you the bread out of heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven.
32Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, Van akipana tanghou na muh pen uh Mosi honpiak ahi kei, ka Pan tuh vana kipanin tanghou tanghou tak nou a honpia ahi.
33For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
33Pathian tanghou tuh van akipanin a hongpaisuka, khovel kianga hinna pepa ahi, a chi a.
34They said therefore unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
34Huan, amau a kiangah, Toupa, huai tanghou honpe gige in, a chi ua.
35Jesus said unto them. I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
35Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Keimah tuh hinna tanghou ka hi; kuapeuh ka kianga hongpai a gilkial kei ding, kuapeuh kei hon gingta tuh chik mahchiangin a dangtak kei ding.
36But I said unto you, that ye have seen me, and yet believe not.
36Himahleh, nou non muh un leng non gingta sam kei uh chih kon hilhta ve.
37All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
37Pain honpiak peuhmah ka kiangah a hongpai vek ding uh; kuapeuh ka kianga hongpai tuh ka delh khe kei hial ding hi.
38For I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
38Kei deihlam hih dingin van akipana hongpaisuk ka hi kei a, honsawlpa deihlam hih dinga hongpaisuk ka hi zo ngala.
39And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
39Hiaipen hon sawlpa deihlam ahi, aman honpiak tengteng bangmah mangsak louin, ni tawpni chiang in kai thou zo leng.
40For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
40Huan, hiaipen ka Pa deihlam ahi, kuapeuh Tapa mu a, gingtain khantawna hinna a neih; huan, ken ni tawpni chiangin amah ka kai thou ding, a chi a.
41The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, I am the bread which came down out of heaven.
41Huan, Van akipana tanghou hongpai suk ka hi, a chih jiak in, Judate a tungah a phun ua.
42And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how doth he now say, I am come down out of heaven?
42Hiai mi Joseph ta Jesu ahi ka hia, a nu leh a pa leng i theih? Van akipana hongpai suk ka hi, chih bangchi chiha chi ahia le? a chi ua.
43Jesus answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
43Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Phun phun dah un.
44No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day.
44Pa honsawlpan a hip kei leh kuamah ka kiangah a hongpai theikei; huan, ken ni tawpni chiah a hongpai tuh ka kai thou ding.
45It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath heard from the Father, and hath learned, cometh unto me.
45Jawlneite laibu ah, Pathian hilhin a om vek ding uh, chih gelh ahi. Mi chih Pa thu jaa thei peuhmah ka kiangah a hongpai nak.
46Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he that is from God, he hath seen the Father.
46Kuamahin Pa a mu ngei ka chi kei, Pathiana kipan pen loungal in; aman jaw Pa a mu hi.
47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth hath eternal life.
47Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, kuapeuh a gingtain khantawn hinna a nei hi.
48I am the bread of life.
48Keimah tuh hinna tanghou ka hi.
49Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
49Na pipute un gamdai ah manna a ne ua, a si uhi.
50This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
50Hiai i chih van akipana tanghou hongpai sukpen ahi, min a nek ua, a sih louhna dingun.
51I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.
51Keimah tuh vana kipana tanghou hing hongpai suk ka hi, kuapeuhin hiai tanghou a nek leh khantawnin a hong gige ding; ahi, khovel hinna dia ka piak ding tanghou tuh ka sa ahi, a chi a.
52The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
52Huchiin, Judate a kisel ua, Hiai min bangchin a sa nek dingin honpe thei ding ahia? a chi ua.
53Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves.
53Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, Mihing Tapa sa na nek ua, a sisan leng na dawn kei uleh, noumauin hinna neilou hive uchin.
54He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
54Kuapeuh ka sa ne a, ka sisan dawnin khantawna hinna a nei; huan, nitawp ni chiang in amah ka kai thou ding.
55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
55Ka sa jaw an ahi taktaka, ka sisan leng dawnding ahi taktak.
56He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.
56Kuapeuh ka sa ne a, ka sisan dawn tuh, keimah ah a om gige a, keimah leng amah ah ka om gige ahi.
57As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he that eateth me, he also shall live because of me.
57Pa hingin honsawla, Pa jiaka hing ka hih mahbangin, kuapeuhmah kei honne tuh keimah jiakin amah leng a hing ding.
58This is the bread which came down out of heaven: not as the fathers ate, and died; he that eateth this bread shall live for ever.

59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
59Huai thute kikhopnain ah a gen a, Kapernaum khuaa thu a hilh laiin.
60Many therefore of his disciples, when the heard [this], said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?
60Huchiin, a nungjuite a khen tampiin, huai a jak un, Hiai thu haksa ahi, kuan a lasawn theidia? a chi ua.
61But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause you to stumble?
61Huchiin, huai thu ah a nungjuite a phun uh chih Jesun a lungsimin a theia, a kiang uah, Hiai thun honhih lunghilou hia?
62[What] then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?
62Mihing Tapa tumalama a omna ngeia kah tou mu le uchin, bang na chih ding ua?
63It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, are are life.
63Hinna pia jaw kha ahi a, sa jaw bangmah din a phatuam kei; na kiang ua thu ka gente tuh kha ahi a, hinna leng ahi.
64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him.
64Himahleh, na lak uah a khen gingta lou om nahi uh, achia. Jesun a gingta loute leh a mansak dingpa a tunga kipanin a theigige ngala.
65And he said, For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it be given unto him of the Father.
65Huan, amah mahin, Huaijiakin ahi, na kiang ua, Pain a piak keileh, kuamah ka kiangah a hongpai theikei, ka chih, a chi a.
66Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
66Hiai nungin a nungjuite a khen tampi a pai mang ua, amah a kithuahpih nawnta kei uh.
67Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away?
67Huchiin, Jesun, sawm leh nihte kiangah, Nou leng pai mang sam na ut uhia? a chi a.
68Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
68Huan, Simon Peterin a kiangah, Toupa, kua kiangah ahia ka pai ding uh? Nangman khantawn hinna thu na nei hi.
69And we have believed and know that thou art the Holy One of God.
69Nangmah Pathian mi siangthou na hi chih ka taksangta ua, theih leng ka thei uhi, a chi a, a dawnga.
70Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil?
70Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Nou sawm leh nihte keimah hontel hi lou na hi umaw? Na lak ua mi khat diabol a hih laitei toh, a chi a.Iskariot Simon tapa Juda, sawm leh nihte laka tel tei, huai thu a gen ahi, amah juausana mansakpa ding ahi ngala.
71Now he spake of Judas [the son] of Simon Iscariot, for he it was that should betray him, [being] one of the twelve.
71Iskariot Simon tapa Juda, sawm leh nihte laka tel tei, huai thu a gen ahi, amah juausana mansakpa ding ahi ngala.
