24

1But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
1Huan, Khawlniin thupiak bangin a khawlta ua; ni sagih ni masapenin; phalvakin, bang hiam gim namtui a bawlte uh tawiin, han ah a vahoh ua.
2And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
2Huan, han a kipan suang tum khuk suanin a mu ua;
3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
3huan, a lut ua, Toupa Jesu luang lah a mu ngal kei ua.
4And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel:
4Huan, hichi ahia, tua jiaka a mangbat laiun, ngai in, mi nih puan mileng thei silh a kiangah a hongding ua;
5and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
5huan, a lau ua a khupboh lai un, amau a kianguah, Bang dia misi laka mi hing zong?
6He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
6Hiai ah a omta kei hi, a thou nawnta; Galili gama a om laia na kiang ua a thu gen thei un,
7saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
7Mihing Tapa mikhialte khuta mat sakin a om dinga, kros ah a kilhden ding uh, ni thum niin a thou nawn ding ahi, a chih, a chi ua.
8And they remembered his words,
8Huan, a thu a honthei nawnta ua,
9and returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.
9han akipan a pai nawnun, sawm leh khatte leh mi dang tengtengte kiangah huai thil tengteng a hilh uh.
10Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the [mother] of James: and the other women with them told these things unto the apostles.
10Mari Magdalini te, Mari te, Joanna te, Jakob nu Mari te leh a kiang ua numei dangte ahi uh, sawltakte kiangah huai thu hilh te.
11And these words appeared in their sight as idle talk; and they disbelieved them.
11Himahleh, huai thu tuh thu maimai bangin a sep ua, a taksan sak kei uhi.
12But Peter arose, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths by themselves; and he departed to his home, wondering at that which was come to pass.
12Himahleh Peter a thou a, han ah a taita a; huan, a kun a, a en a, puan mal ngat omte kia a mu a, huchiin, thil omdan tuh lamdang sa takin a in lamah a paita hi.
13And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was threescore furlongs from Jerusalem.
13Huan, ngai in, huai ni mahmahin a lak ua mi nih khua khat Emmau a chi uah a hoh dek ua, huai khua tuh Jerusalem khua a patin ching sawmguk ahi a.
14And they communed with each other of all these things which had happened.
14Huan, thil hongtung tengteng a gen khawm jel ua.
15And it came to pass, while they communed and questioned together, that Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
15Huan, agen ua, a kisel lai un, Jesu ngeiin a honjuana, a kianguah a pai samta a.
16But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
16Himahleh, amah a theihtheihlouhna ding un, a mit uh hihvaihin a om hi.
17And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk? And they stood still, looking sad.
17Huan, a kiang uah, Pai kawma na gen khawm uh, bang thu ahia? a chi a. Huan, dah takin a ding kinken ta ua.
18And one of them, named Cleopas, answering said unto him, Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things which are come to pass there in these days?
18Huan, a min Kleopa penin, a kiangah, Jerusalem khua ah nangmah kiain hia na ten, tulaia thil omdan na theih louh? a chi a, a dawng a.
19And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
19Huan, aman, a kiang uah, Bang thil eita? a chi a. Huan, amau a kiangah, Nazaret Jesu, Pathian leh mi tengteng mitmuha a thu leh a thilhiha jawlnei minthangtak tanchin thu:
20and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
20Siampu liante leh ka heutute un thah thu piak dingin a pi ua, krosa a kilhden thute khawng uh.
21But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.
21Kou Israelte tanpading a hih ka lametet utoh, Abangabang hita leh, huai thil tunnung siah tuni toh ni thum a hita.
22Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb;
22Huailou leng kapawlte uh numei kuate hiam jingsangin, a hanah a vahoh ua, honghihmangbang uh;
23and when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
23a luang mu lou piin, Pathian angelte kilak ka mu uh, huai miten a hing nawnta chih a gen uh, a hongchi ua.
24And certain of them that were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
24Huan, ka ompih lak ua kuate hiam hanah a hoh ua, numeite genbang ngeiin a mu ua; himahleh, amah a mu sam kei uh, a chi ua.
25And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
25Huan, aman, a kianguah, Mi haite aw: jawlneite thu gen tengteng gintak thu-a ngongte aw:
26Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
26Krisin huai thil thuakin a thupinaa a lut ding him ahi ka hia? a chi a.
27And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
27Huan, Mosi leh jawlneite tengteng a panin, laisiangthou tengtenga amah tanchin gelh peuhmah, amau a hilhchian jel hi.
28And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further.
28Huan, a hohna ding khua uh atung dek ta ua; huan, amah gam la deuha hoh tum bangin a om a.
29And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them.
29Huan, kamin a khou ua, Ka kiang uah tam tanla; nitaklam leng hi ding hita a, ni leng tum dekta aka, chiin. Huan a kiang ua tam dingin a lutta hi.
30And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking [it] he gave to them.
30Huan, hichi ahi a, a kiang ua an uma a tutin tanghou a la a, a vualzawla, a balkhama, a kiang uah a pia a.
31And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
31Huan, a mit uh a hongvakta a, a mel a hontheita uh. Huan, amah a mangta mai hi.
32And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
32Huan, amau, Lampi a honhoupih laia laisiangthou thute honhilhchet lai in i lungtang a vak huai him hilou hia? a kichi ua.
33And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
33Huan, huai laitakin, a thou ua, Jerusalem khua ah a kik nawn ua, sawm leh khatte leh a lawmte om khawm a mu ua,
34saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
34Toupa a na thou nawn taktak ahi, Simon kiangah leng a kilakta, a na chi ua.
35And they rehearsed the things [that happened] in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of the bread.
35Huan, amau leng lampia thil hongtung leh, tanghou a balkhapa, a mel a natheih takdante uh a hilh sam uh.
36And as they spake these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.
36Huan, huai thu a gen lai un amah mah a lak uah a hongdinga, a kiang uah, Na tunguah khamuanna om heh, a chi a.
37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.
37Himahleh, mulkimhuai a sa mahmah ua, a lau ua, sikha mu hiin a kingaihtuah ua.
38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart?
38Huan, aman, a kiang uah, Bang achia mangbang na hi ua? Bangdia na lungsim ua ginlahna hongom ahia?
39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.
39Ka khutte ka khepekte en un, kei mahmah ka hi a keihiam! honkhoih unla, thei un; sa leh guh neia non muh bang un khain jaw sa leh guh a nei ngal keia, a chi a.
40And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
40Huan, huai a gen khitin a khutte a khepekte amau a laka.
41And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?
41Huan, a kipah luat jiak ua a gin ngam louh a, lamdang a sak lai un, a kiang uah, Hiai ah banghiam nek ding na nei uhia? a chi a.
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish.
42Huan, nga hou, bak khat a pia ua.
43And he took it, and ate before them.
43Huan, a la a, a ma uah a neta hi.
44And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.
44Huan, a kiang uah, Hiaite ka thu ahi, Mosi Dan khawngah, Jawlnei Laibu khawngah ka tanchin gelh peuhmah a hongtun dingdan na kiang ua ka om laia ka honhilhhilhte, a chi a.
45Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;
45Huchiin, laisiangthou thu theihna din a lungtang uh a vaksakta hi;
46and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;
46huan, a kiang uah, Hichibanga gelh ahi, Krisin gim a thuak dinga, ni thum niin misi lak a kipan a thou nawn ding a,
47and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
47Amah minin lungsim kikhekna thu leh khelh ngaihdamna thu Jerusalem khua apatin, nam chih kiangah hilh ahi ding, chiin.
48Ye are witnesses of these things.
48Huai thil tengteng a theihpihte na hi uh.
49And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.
49Huan, ngai un, ka Pa thil chiam na tunguah ka honsawl dinga; himahleh, tunglam akipan thilhihtheihnaa silhsaka naom masiah uh khopi ah om kinken un, a chi a.
50And he led them out until [they were] over against Bethany: and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
50Huan, Bethani phain a mau a pi khia a; huan, a ban a jak a, a vualjawl a,
51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.
51Huan, hichi ahi a, a vualjawl lai takin amau a paisanta a, van ah pi touhin a omta hi.
52And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
52Huan, amah a bia ua, kipak petpetin Jerusalem khua ah a kik nawnta uh;huan, Pathian biakin ah Pathian phatin a omom uhi.
53and were continually in the temple, blessing God.
53huan, Pathian biakin ah Pathian phatin a omom uhi.
