Matthew

13

1On that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
1Huai min Jesu tuh in a kipan a pai khia a, dil gei ah a tu a.
2And there were gathered unto him great multitudes, so that he entered into a boat, and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.
2Huan, a kiangah mipi thupitak a hongkikhawm ua, huchiin longah a tuanga, a tua, mipi tengteng piautak ah a ding ua.
3And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow;
3Huan, gentehnain thu tampi a kianguah a gena: Ngai dih ua, buhchithehpa buhchithehin a kuana.
4and as he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them:
4Huan, a theh laiin a khen lam sikah a kia a, vasaten a honne zouta a.
5and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth:
5HUan, a khen suangsi lei lakah a kia a: lei a sah louh jiakin a hongpou paha:
6and when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
6himahleh, a ni a hongsuahin hai vuaiin a hongon a: zung a neih louh jiakin, a vul mai maha.
7And others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them:
7Huan, a ken loulingnei lakah a kia a, lou tuh a hongpou sanga: a dep mangta a.
8and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
8Huan, a khen lei hoihah a kia a. Khenkhat a leh ja bang, khenkhat a leh sawmguk bang, khenkhat a leh sawm thum bangin a honggah a.
9He that hath ears, let him hear.
9Kuapeuh bil neiin, ja heh, a chi a.
10And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
10Huan, nungjuite a hongpai ua, a kiangah, Bangdia gentehna a thu gen na hia? a chi ua.
11And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
11Huan, aman a dawnga. a kiangah uah, vangam thuguk nou theih jaw phal ahi a, amau theih jaw phal ahikei.
12For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.
12Kuapeuh a nei tuh piak behlap ahi ding a, a hau ding; himahleh, kuapeuh a neilou tuh, a neih sun leng laksak ahi ding.
13Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
13Huchi a hih jiakin a kiang uah gentehnain thu ka gen ahi; mu napiin a mu kei nak ua, za napiin a theih siam kei nak uh.
14And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:
14Huan, Isai thu gen kholh a tunguah a hongtung ahi: Bilin jaw na ding ua, a theih jaw na theisiam kei hial ding uh; muh jaw na mu ding ua, theih jaw na theikei hial ding uh;
15For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.
15Hiai chite lungtang a nanggawpta a bilte uh a ngong a, a mitsi ua, huchilou injaw a mit un a mukha ding ua, a bil un a za kha ding ua, a lungtang un a theisiam kha ding ua, a hongkik nawn kha ding ua, a mau ka nahihdam kha ding. a chi a, a chih
16But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
16Nou mit jaw a hampha hi, a muh jiakin; na bil u leng a hampha hi, a jak jiakin.
17For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.
17Chihtaktakin ka honhilh ahi, jawlnei tampi leh mi diktak tampin leng na thil muhte uh muh a ut ua, himahleh a mu kei uh; na thil jakte uh leng jak a ut ua, himahleh a za kei uh.
18Hear then ye the parable of the sower.
18Huaijiakin, buhchithehpa gentehna thu tuh ja un;
19When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, [then] cometh the evil [one], and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.
19Kuapeuhin gam thu tuh bila a najaka, a theihsiam kei leh, migilou a hongpai a, a lungtang a thehsa tuh a sut nak. Huai tuh lam sik a theh ahi.
20And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;
20Huan, suangsi leilaka theh tuh, thu jaa kipak taka pom ngal bang ahi;
21yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.
21himahleh amah ah zung a om keia, sawtlou chik kisa a oma, huan, thu jiakin gimthuakna hiam, sawina hiam a hongom takin a puk pah ngal.
22And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
22Huan, loulingnei laka theh tuh thu tuh jaa, himahleh, khovel awlmohna leh hauhsakna khemnain thu tuh a dep a, gah louin a hongom hi.
23And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
23Huan, lei hoih tunga theh tuh, thu tuh bil a ja a, theisiam ahi; huai tuh a gah ngeia, khenkhat a leh ja bang, khenkhat a leh sawmguk bang, khenkhat a leh sawmthum bangin a pung, a chi a.
24Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:
24Gentehna dang a kiang uah a gen nawna; vangam tuh, mi a lou a chi hoih thehpa toh teh ahi;
25but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.
25Himahleh mi a ihmut kalin amelma a hongpaia, buh lakah buhlem a theha, a paimang nawnta.
26But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
26Huan, buh tuh a hongpou a a hongvuihin buhlem leng a hongkilang sam a.
27And the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it tares?
27Huan, inneipa sikhate a hongpai ua, a kiangah, Pu, na lou a chi hoih thehlou na hi maw? buhlemte kaw kipana hongom ahia? a chi ua.
28And he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
28Huan, aman tuh a kiang uah, Melmain nahih eive, a chi a, Huan, a sikhaten a kiangah. A hihleh, huaite va la khawm le ung hoih na sa hia? a chi ua.
29But he saith, Nay; lest haply while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them.
29Aman bel, Sa lou e, buhlem na lak khawm nalam uah buh na bot khawm kha ding uh.
30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.
30Buh lak dongin pou khawm uheh; huan, buhlak hun chiangin buh atte kiangah, Buhlem la khawm masa phot unla hal dingin lom gak un; buh pen bel ka buhin ah sek lut un, ka china ding, a chi a, a chi a.
31Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
31Gentehna dang a kianguah a gen nawna; vangam tuh ankam chi tang khat min a laka a loua a theh bang ahi.
32which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.
32Huai tuh chi laklak ah a neupen a; himahleh a hongpou san chiangin loupa lakah a lianpen a, sing a honghi a, huchiin tungleng vasate a hongpai ua, ahiang khawngah a giak uh, a chi a.
33Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
33Gentehna dang a kianguah a gen nawn a; vangam tuh, silngou numeiin a lak a, anbuang tehna thum laka a vek a thoh matenga a phum bang ahi, a chi a.
34All these things spake Jesus in parables unto the multitudes; and without a parable spake he nothing unto them:
34Huai tengteng tuh Jesun gentehnain mipite kiangah a gena, gentehna louin a kianguah bangmah a gen kei;
35that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.
35Jawlnei in, Gentehnain ka kam ka ka dinga, leilung pian tunga kipat thil kisel tuh ka gen kheding, chia a gen a hongtun theihna ding in.
36Then he left the multitudes, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Explain unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
36Huai laiin mipute a paisana, in ah a lutta a, huan, nungjuite a kiangah a hongpai ua, Loua buhlem gentehna thu honhilh chian in, a chi ua.
37And he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
37Huan, aman a dawnga, Chi hoih thehpa tuh Mihing Tapa ahi a; lou tuh khovel ahi.
38and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil [one];
38Chi hoihte tuh gam tate ahi ua; buhlemte tuh migilou tate ahi uh.
39and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels.
39melma, a thehpa tuh, diabol ahi a, buh lak hun tuh khovel tawpna ding ahi; a tatte tuh angelte ahi uh.
40As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.
40Huchiin, buhlemte tuh a la khawm ua meia a hal bang un khovel tawpna ah a om ding.
41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,
41Mihing, Tapain angelte a sawl khe ding a, a gam akipan hihkhialsakte leh thil hihkhialte tengteng a khawm khe ding ua, hal tuina mei ah a pai ding uh.
42and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
42Huailai ah kah leh hagawi a om ding.
43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.
43Huai hun chiangin mi diktatte tuh a Pa uh gamah ni bangin a vakta ding uh. Bil neiin ja heh.
44The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
44vangam tuh loua gou phum guk bang ahi; huai tuh min a mu a, asel a, a kipah jiakin a neih tengteng a juaka, huai lou tuh a leita.
45Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls:
45Huan vangam tuh sumsin mi tuikepsuang hoih tak zongmi bang ahi nawna;
46and having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
46Huan, aman tuh tuikepsuang manpha tak khat a mu a, a neih tengteng a juaka, a leita a.
47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
47Huan, vangam tuh lenpi, tuipi a paiha chi chih tun khawmna bang ahi nawna.
48which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but the bad they cast away.
48Huai tuh a dim takin a gei ah a kai khia ua, huan, a tu ua, a hoih teng bawm ah a lakhawm ua, a hoihlou a pai uh.
49So shall it be in the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the righteous,
49Khovel tawp hun chiangin huchi bangmahin a om ding, angelte a hongpawt ding ua, mi diktat lakah, migiloute a khenkhe ding ua;
50and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
50hal tuina mei ah a pai ding uh, huai ah tuh kah leh hagawi a om ding, achia.
51Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.
51Jesu mahin a king uah, Huai tengteng na theisiam uhia? a chi a, Amau tuh a kiangah, Thei e, a chi ua.
52And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
52Huan, aman tuh a kiang uah. Huchi a hih leh, laigelhmi vangam nuaijui hi peuhmah tuh, in neipa, a gou bawm a kipana thil thakte leh thilluite pholh khepa bang ahi, a chi a.
53And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
53Huan, hichi ahia, Jesun huai gentehnate a gen khit takin huai a kipanin a paita a.
54And coming into his own country he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
54Huan, a omna kho lam tuh a tunga, a kikhopna in uah amaute thu a hilh a, huchiin lamdang a sa mahmah ua, Hiai min hiai pilna leh hiai nasep thupi hihtheihnate khawng koi apata a muh ahia?
55Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?
55Hiai mi singlemsiampa tapa hi lou hia? a nu Mari kichi hilou hia? a unaute Jakob, Joseph, Simon, Juda kichite hilou u hia?
56And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
56Hiai min koia kipan phiangsana hiai tengteng mu ahia? a sanggamnute leng i kiangua om vek uh hilou uhia? a chi ua.
57And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.
57Huchiin, a tungah a lung hita kei ua. Himahleh, Jesun a kiang uah, Jawlnei jaw amah kholam leh amah in lamah loungal pahtawi louhin a om ngei kei, a chi a.Huan, a gin louh jiak un huaiah tuh nasep thupi dang tam a hih kei.
58And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
58Huan, a gin louh jiak un huaiah tuh nasep thupi dang tam a hih kei.
