¹I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men;

²for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

³This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

³Ke kodia si vorta drago le Devleske amaro skepitori,

⁴who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.

⁴ke wo mangel sa le manush te aven skepime, ai te zhanen o chachimos.

⁵For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, [himself] man, Christ Jesus,

⁵Ke ferdi iek Del si, ai iek manush kai anel andek than le manushen ai le Devles, kodo manush si O Jesus Kristo.

⁶who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony [to be borne] in its own times;

⁶Ke wo diape te pochinel te aven savorhe skepime. Ai mangliape vriama kai sas thodini te sikavel ke O Del mangel sa le manush te aven skepime,

⁷whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth, I lie not), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

⁷anda kodia me o Pavlo, ek pasturi ai ek apostle tradino sim te sicharel kodolen kai Nai Zhiduvuria pa pachamos ai pa chachimos. Chi xoxavav, o chachimos phenav!

⁸I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

⁸Mangav vari kai le manush te rhuginpe, te vazden le vas te rhuginpe vuzhe ilesa, bi xoliariko ai bi chingarako.

⁹In like manner, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefastness and sobriety; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly raiment;

⁹Ai mangav vi le zhuvlia te vuriarenpe malades, prostovanes, ai te na keren barimata penge balensa, ai te na thon pe pende but sumnakai, perli, vai tsalia kai si kuchi.

¹⁰but (which becometh women professing godliness) through good works.

¹⁰Numa te keren lashe dieli sar zhuvlia kai mothon ke pachanpe ando Del, ai keren leski buchi.

¹¹Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.

¹¹Le zhuvlia trobul te ashunen, ai te sichon ando kalmo, ai te keren so si lenge phendo.

¹²But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.

¹²Chi mangav e zhuvli te sicharel, vai te poronchil po mursh, numa te na phenen kanchi.

¹³For Adam was first formed, then Eve;

¹³Ke chaches o Adam sas kerdo o pervo, ai Eve pala leste.

¹⁴and Adam was not beguiled, but the woman being beguiled hath fallen into transgression:

¹⁴Ai o Adam nas atsado, numa e Eve sas atsadi, ai sas doshali angla Del.

¹⁵but she shall be saved through her child-bearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with sobriety.

¹⁵Numa e zhuvli avela skepime kana avela la glati , numa te inkerela ando pachamos, ande dragostia, ai ando vuzhimos, ai ando prostomo.
