1Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear my speech, And hearken to all my words.
1யோபே, என் நியாயங்களைக் கேளும்; என் வார்த்தைகளுக்கெல்லாம் செவிகொடும்.
2Behold now, I have opened my mouth; My tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
2இதோ, என் வாயை இப்போது திறந்தேன்; என் வாயிலிருக்கிற என் நாவானது பேசும்.
3My words [shall utter] the uprightness of my heart; And that which my lips know they shall speak sincerely.
3என் வார்த்தைகள் என் இருதயத்தின் உண்மைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கும்; நான் அறிந்ததை என் உதடுகள் சுத்தமாய் வசனிக்கும்.
4The Spirit of God hath made me, And the breath of the Almighty giveth me life.
4தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கினார்; சர்வவல்லவருடைய சுவாசம் எனக்கு உயிர்கொடுத்தது.
5If thou canst, answer thou me; Set [thy words] in order before me, stand forth.
5உம்மாலே கூடுமானால் எனக்கு மறுமொழி கொடும்; நீர் ஆயத்தப்பட்டு எனக்கு எதிராக நில்லும்.
6Behold, I am toward God even as thou art: I also am formed out of the clay.
6இதோ, உம்மைப்போல நானும் தேவனால் உண்டானவன்; நானும் மண்ணினால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவன்.
7Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, Neither shall my pressure be heavy upon thee.
7இதோ, நீர் எனக்குப் பயப்பட்டுக் கலங்கத் தேவையில்லை; என் கை உம்மேல் பாரமாயிருக்கமாட்டாது.
8Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, And I have heard the voice of [thy] words, [saying],
8நான் காதாரக் கேட்க நீர் சொன்னதும், எனக்குக் கேள்வியான உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தமும் என்னவென்றால்:
9I am clean, without transgression; I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me:
9நான் மீறுதல் இல்லாத சுத்தன், நான் குற்றமற்றவன், என்னில் அக்கிரமமில்லை.
10Behold, he findeth occasions against me, He counteth me for his enemy:
10இதோ, என்னில் அவர் குற்றம்பிடிக்கப்பார்க்கிறார், என்னைத் தமக்குச் சத்துருவாக எண்ணிக்கொள்ளுகிறார்.
11He putteth my feet in the stocks, He marketh all my paths.
11அவர் என் கால்களைத் தொழுவிலே மாட்டி, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் காவல்படுத்துகிறார் என்று சொன்னீர்.
12Behold, I will answer thee, in this thou art not just; For God is greater than man.
12இதிலே நீர் நீதியுள்ளவர் அல்லவென்று உமக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாகச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; மனுஷனைப்பார்க்கிலும் தேவன் பெரியவராயிருக்கிறார்.
13Why dost thou strive against him, For that he giveth not account of any of his matters?
13அவர் தம்முடைய செயல்கள் எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்துக் காரணம் சொல்லவில்லையென்று நீர் அவரோடே ஏன் வழக்காடுகிறீர்?
14For God speaketh once, Yea twice, [though man] regardeth it not.
14தேவன் ஒருவிசை சொல்லியிருக்கிற காரியத்தை இரண்டாம்விசை பார்த்துத் திருத்துகிறவரல்லவே.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumberings upon the bed;
15கனநித்திரை மனுஷர்மேல் இறங்கி, அவர்கள் படுக்கையின்மேல் அயர்ந்திருக்கையில்,
16Then he openeth the ears of men, And sealeth their instruction,
16அவர் இராக்காலத்துத் தரிசனமான சொப்பனத்திலே மனுஷருடைய செவிக்குத் தாம் செய்யும் காரியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, அதை அவர்களுக்கு வரும் தண்டனையினாலே முத்திரைபோட்டு,
17That he may withdraw man [from his] purpose, And hide pride from man;
17மனுஷன் தன்னுடைய செய்கையைவிட்டு நீங்கவும், மனுஷருடைய பெருமை அடங்கவும் செய்கிறார்.
18He keepeth back his soul from the pit, And his life from perishing by the sword.
18இவ்விதமாய் அவன் ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கும், அவன் ஜீவனைப் பட்டய வெட்டுக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.
19He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, And with continual strife in his bones;
19அவன் தன் படுக்கையிலே வாதையினாலும், தன் சகல எலும்புகளிலும் அகோரமான நோவினாலும் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறான்.
20So that his life abhorreth bread, And his soul dainty food.
20அவன் ஜீவன் அப்பத்தையும், அவன் ஆத்துமா ருசிகரமான போஜனத்தையும் அரோசிக்கும்.
21His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; And his bones that were not seen stick out.
21அவன் மாம்சம் காணப்படாதபடிக்கு அழிந்து, மூடப்பட்டிருந்த அவன் எலும்புகள் வெளிப்படுகிறது.
22Yea, his soul draweth near unto the pit, And his life to the destroyers.
22அவன் ஆத்துமா பாதாளத்துக்கும், அவன் பிராணன் சாவுக்கும் சமீபிக்கிறது.
23If there be with him an angel, An interpreter, one among a thousand, To show unto man what is right for him;
23ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவராகிய சாமாசிபண்ணுகிற தூதனானவர் மனுஷனுக்குத் தம்முடைய நிதானத்தை அறிவிக்கும்படிக்கு, அவனுக்கு அநுசாரியாயிருந்தாரேயாகில்,
24Then [God] is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.
24அவர் அவனுக்கு இரங்கி, அவன் படுகுழியில் இறங்காதபடிக்கு: நீர் அவனை இரட்சியும்; மீட்கும் பொருளை நான் கண்டுபிடித்தேன் என்பார்.
25His flesh shall be fresher than a child's; He returneth to the days of his youth.
25அப்பொழுது அவன் மாம்சம் வாலிபத்தில் இருந்ததைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஆரோக்கியமடையும்; தன் வாலவயது நாட்களுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.
26He prayeth unto God, and he is favorable unto him, So that he seeth his face with joy: And he restoreth unto man his righteousness.
26அவன் தேவனை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணும்போது, அவன் அவருடைய சமுகத்தைக் கெம்பீரத்தோடே பார்க்கும்படி அவர் அவன்மேல் பிரியமாகி, அந்த மனுஷனுக்கு அவனுடைய நீதியின் பலனைக் கொடுப்பார்.
27He singeth before men, and saith, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, And it profited me not:
27அவன் மனுஷரை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து: நான் பாவஞ்செய்து செம்மையானதைப் புரட்டினேன், அது எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமாயிருக்கவில்லை.
28He hath redeemed my soul from going into the pit, And my life shall behold the light.
28என் ஆத்துமா படுகுழியில் இறங்காதபடி, அவர் அதை இரட்சிப்பார்; ஆகையால் என் பிராணன் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும் என்று சொல்லுவான்.
29Lo, all these things doth God work, Twice, [yea] thrice, with a man,
29இதோ, தேவன் மனுஷனுடைய ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கு விலக்குகிறதற்கும், அவனை ஜீவனுள்ளோரின் வெளிச்சத்தினாலே பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிறதற்கும்,
30To bring back his soul from the pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
30அவர் இவைகளையெல்லாம் அவனிடத்தில் பலமுறை நடப்பிக்கிறார்.
31Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: Hold thy peace, and I will speak.
31யோபே, நீர் கவனித்து என் சொல்லைக் கேளும்; நான் பேசப்போகிறேன், நீர் மவுனமாயிரும்.
32If thou hast anything to say, answer me: Speak, for I desire to justify thee.
32சொல்லத்தக்க நியாயங்கள் இருந்ததேயானால், எனக்கு மறுஉத்தரவு கொடும்; நீர் பேசும், உம்மை நீதிமானாகத் தீர்க்க எனக்கு ஆசையுண்டு.
33If not, hearken thou unto me: Hold thy peace, and I will teach thee wisdom.
33ஒன்றும் இல்லாதிருந்ததேயாகில் நீர் என் சொல்லைக் கேளும், மவுனமாயிரும், நான் உமக்கு ஞானத்தை உபதேசிப்பேன் என்றான்.
